I have been with Westlake Financial since 2019. I may have called 2-3 times for information pertaining to my account. When I say they have the most incompetent agents. The interest rate is so high, they don't report the correct amount on your credit report, They only report the Principal balance of the loan not including all the tacted on interest that you are paying monthly. That's how they scam and make extra money. My fiancee and I were in the process of building our credit. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THAT COMPANY. The customer service is POOR, My guess is that they hire you and throw you on the phones with zero training or resourses. You can a simple question and it not understood, DETAILS people and critical thinking is not at all given.

Considered using this company which was referred to me via AutoCreditExpress and CreditKarma. I immediately began receiving unsolicited text messages and emails from them. When I received the initial phone call, the representative was clearly not an American nor was he calling from inside the United States. And yet, this person was now given all of my private information. They were rude and abrasive and read from a pre-prepared script. Just red flags all over the place. As I dug-into the company a little more, everything came into focus. Eventually, they won't be around once the Federal government catches up to them. In the meantime, I won't be doing business with them and neither should you.

JUST AWFUL , THEY ARE RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL , I HAVE NO IDEA HOW THIS BANK IS EVEN OPEN , I was double charged on payments , I HAVE BEEN HUNG UP ON AND YELLED AT BECAUSE THEY WANNA TRY AND KEEP MY MONEY AND SAY THEY GAVE MY REFUND WHEN THEY DID NOT . scam artists and thieves . stay away

The interest I got on my car is absolutely out of this world. I was unable to pay because of Covid and I called them to try and help and feel like I got the run around…

My service today with phone representative was outstanding. He stayed on the phone with me to make sure my payment was received, he was very patient and eager to help me. My name is Leslie Smoot unfortunately I didn't catch the reps name but he was extremely helpful.

My credit was not good and was forced to go with Westlake. Of course the interest rate was high, but i accepted it. I highly recommend AVOIDING this company. You get reminder calls that your payment is late, which is normal. However, what they fail to do to report timely payments to credit bureaus and even when the car was paid off and I had title, my credit report showed sporadic payments and the loan being CHARGED OFF according to TransUnion (have docs). The charge off amounts are completely wrong. This company also does business as Wilshire Commercial Capital. For people trying to rebuild credit, this company destroys it.

I lost my residential parking permit and my car was towed. Westlake then repossessed my vehicle without telling me first. They charged exorbitant fees and towed my car again to an affiliated lot. At the lot someone stole car engine parts and valuables from the car. I was out another $1000 to get new parts. Westlake's customer support was horrible through out the process. They told me different things when I called them twice on the same day. It took about 8 calls to actually figure out what had actually happened to my car. This company is ruthless and fraudulent. Do not ever deal with them.

have not been able to leave the house and work since about December because of covid. That's why my payments were delayed. When I was sick, they called me and when they learned about my situation, they said, "Let's see your recovery, we add your December and January payments to the end of your credit, you don't have to make the payment." Now they send a letter to my house and they want me to make full payment, I am looking for a call center, the gentleman there is very rude and speaks too fast. I even understood what he said, but there is one thing I understand, because they lied to me because my december and january payments were not added to the end of my credit, this rude friend He sarcastically says these payments are not approved and refuses to help.NOT RECOMMENDED THIS COMPANY.

Not just no... but HELL no. Started the car buying process thru Credit Karma and got called by Westlake Finanicial. I was immediately put off by the fact it was a boiler room type environment. I could hear dozens of other reps in the room. Secondly the rep had a thick Indian accent so it was quite clear this was a call center in India.

Did further research and the address matches up with a noteriously unscrupulus collection agency. More research revealed this company refuses to clear a title when the vehicle is paid off and numerous reports of vehicles being reposessed even after pay-off.

The final straw was after the intial call I began receiving spam text messages advertising sex drugs with extremely vulgar language.

Thank God BofA approved my loan.

This Westlake Financial Services company located in Los Angeles, California is the worst possible bank out there and avoid them at all costs or you will regret it for the rest of your life. They are nothing but a bunch of thieves and con-artists.

I have excellent credit and a solid income for over 30 years and I pay all of my bills on time every single month. I had applied for a car loan for about $20,000 and I was denied. About a week later, I received a letter in the US mail indicating why I was denied.

The letter stated that I had a previous repossession with this Westlake Financial Services and this was false and not true and I never had any loans with this Westlake Financial Services company.

I got a copy of all 3 of my credit reports, Experian, Equifax and Trans Union and my credit score is almost 800 and any car loans or car leases I had in the past were all paid on time and I was never late on any car or car lease payments. The same with all of the credit cards and installment loans that I had, they were always paid on time every single month. After I read this letter I got from Westlake Financial Services, I was pissed and I mean pissed.

I got on the phone and I called 888-669-2669 Westlake Financial customer service and finally after ringing at least 10 times some guy got on the phone and I had explained to him what had happened. He was useless and he was lost in the sauce and he didn't know how to answer me or help me and it was a complete waste of my time trying to discuss it with this half baked imbecile on the other end of the phone. I thanked him for his time and I hung up.

I have no alternative or option and I am going to give this matter to my private paid attorney and have him commence swift civil litigation against this Westlake Financial Services company and sue them for as much as he possibly can to the fullest extent of the law and I am also go to report them California Attorney Generals Office and to the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) in Washington, D.C...!

Super incompetent. Removed various additions to their ridiculous financing plans, but they do not want to actually move forward on the work to adjust my payments. Been waiting over a week to get a new quote. They are trying to still get paid for what I have documents of cancellations for. Literal emails saying that I no longer have the features but when I call to deal with payments they still quote the original fee.

They are super unethical and have little regard for the customers that actually are trying to work along with them.

I’ve got stolen more than $800 bucks
The contract failed because of the dealer fault, but not before that I did $800 dollar of payments. The app shows PAYMENT EXCESS, i called the costumer service and every different attendant told me that they where going to refund the value. After 1 month and nothing happened they simply desapear with the money and never sent me no value. Unprepared attendants, I asked to speak with a manager but they refused to pass.

I'll take back 5 star review, because they didn't keep end bargain of their part. I only agreed to make a payment for the account, which would go away in 3 years anyways, only if they close/remove it from my credit history. But they didn't remove it, instead they just changed/added comments, which doesn't help my credit at all. Despite having 700 score I got denied and denial letter said because of Westlake Financial, and this was after I "closed" my account with them and paid them in full amount which agreed by both parties, yet still inpacting my credit negatively. Then what is the point of my payment then, if still hunting me? I called you and request to delete your name from my history, I opened ticket with Experian and TransUnion, all you need to do respond to them. I DID ALL talking my self, not Westlake. I'll change to 5 when I see their loan completely removed from credit bureaus. Until that happens 1 star will be here and else where. I've been calling you for months for this issue, still not solved.

Just awful service. My car was total loss after accident. For more than 5 weeks, the insurance company could not receive the correct data for the loan payment. And then, when the loan was closed, Westlake sent incorrect data to the credit bureaus with 60 days late payments and my credit score dropped by 114 points! And for 3 months now they have not been able to fix it. Support managers say different info every time, which contradicts each other. Just worst bank...

This was the absolute worst experience ever! From the get go, it was a struggle to get my due date on what we had agreed upon at the very beginning. When you call in, almost every call goes to a call center out of country. In the military, you move a lot, this is the first company in 30 years that made me have to pay to transfer my title upon moving. Nothing but a nightmare!

EDIT: Payment was posted to my loan after posting initial review. Westlake posted the payment effective the date of my accident so the late payments will not appear on my credit. I am satisfied with the way this was handled by Westlake.

LIARS!!! They say one thing on the phone, don’t honor, and then say they didn’t agree with that. Find another place to take your business!!!

Despite their armed robbery interest rate that is so high, they have no single kindness for a customer affected by Covid lock down, very useless organization with expired ideology policy makers, their policies are not human and business friendly, Customers service staffs too will tell you things that are not true and not accurate, speak with 5 people you get 5 different opinions, any organizations that does not show kindness in this Covid 19 period, is good for nothing, that is where westlake belongs, good for nothing.

Covid -19, millions of people have problems paying their bills, due to massive unemployment, business closures and so forth. While most of other financial services help their customers extending the due dates and deferring payments, WestLake Financial is not even remotely interested in understanding the situation and defer even 1 payment. We were told the system does not allow changes. Late charges will still apply! Unbelievable and so shameful!
