In June 2025 I bought a silver Georg Jensen Torun bangle from this company. The one I ordered was too small, I contacted the Jewellers who went out of their way to ensure I received the correct size. I returned the initial one and they very quickly sent me a larger one that fits perfectly. I was very impressed at the Individualised service I received. Loved the bangle, which I have worn mainly on special occasions (frightened of dinging it and ruining it's looks!)
However, today 12/01/26 I contacted them again as the Georg Jensen box to store the bangle developed a fault. It seemed like the spring allowing the box to open and close had broken. I contacted Wharton Goldsmith via their web page explaining the fault. Later today, they contacted me back to say they are sending me a replacement box. This service was really appreciated, their care and commitment to their products and service says a lot about their business. You don't often get this sort of service nowadays. Well done!

No mere retail/chain outlet, this is a professional jeweller offering the fullest range of services and performing them on site (very rare these days). Customer service is truly exceptional: I just received a handwritten letter from them advising that they'd found a presentation box for an item I'd purchased recently and that, remembering I was a collector, they were holding it back in case I had a use for it. Above and Beyond! I've lived here in St Albans for many years during which Wharton have earned a formidable reputation which they can be justly proud of.

I want to thank Chris and Nicola for their wonderful service in resizing a couple of rings for us and went beyond by putting an extra link in my watch. Also thank you Chris for valuing my parents jewellery. Outstanding service

Absolutely thrilled with my engagement ring and wedding band. Sam spent time helping me design exactly what I was looking for. The finished rings are stunning. Their knowledge, expertise and friendliness made the whole experience perfect. I would definitely recommend for going the extra mile.

I ordered a Georg Jensen necklace from Wharton Goldsmith- taking advantage of their VAT free offer for the Queen’s Jubilee! Given that, of course they were closed over that weekend, the necklace arrived straight away after the holiday. While the offer was still available, I thought, why not? 😂 and ordered a bracelet from them as well! I placed my order late in the afternoon and my bracelet arrived by special delivery before 9am next day. I’m wearing it as I write. I would totally recommend this company. I wish I could afford another bracelet but I think my husband would be seeing a divorce lawyer. 😂😂. Very impressed with this company and I’m sure I’ll be revisiting them.

Really rude and condencending staff. I popped in to look for a pendant. At first the staff member was all over me, but after briefly showing me huge naff dress style necklaces (which isn't what I asked for) she seemed to decide that she wasn't interested, she briefly tried to push their bespoke service without trying to give me any ideas of what they could make and then in effect kicked me out, essentially saying they are too expensive for me (if they do bespoke that isn't true) Pretty woman springs to mind!

I ordered a ring from Wharton Goldsmith for my wife for Valentine’s Day. I had tried my best to get the correct size using my wife’s other rings and an online ring sizing tool provided by the brand of ring I was buying. When the ring arrived, my wife was very happy with it with the exception of the size - it was too big. I got in contact with Wharton Goldsmith via email and was excellently assisted by Nicola who sent me a ring sizing band to more accurately measure the correct size. Based on that I returned the original ring and Nicola ordered the correct size from the manufacturer. I have nothing but praise for this company. Their pricing was the best I could find and that alongside the excellent customer service from Nicola made for a great experience. This was all achieved even though it was 100% online due to the lockdown. I highly recommend them.
