I keep trying to load app but although I allow it to use my location it places me in Oxford instead of Frome Somerset. Not much use really.

Couldn’t get past agree with the T’s and C’s. Rejected because I had not agreed T’s and C’s so gave up.

Why not use a grid reference? This app is fail to danger and rather futile considering the alternatives, OSLocate for example.

Really happy with this app, the more I use it the more I realise just how useful it is .

The idea would be a good one, except that the developers allowed plurals and verb tenses. This means for example that very simple mistakes can be made. The 3 word address /// hamper.keeps.banana is in China, whereas /// hamper.keeps.bananas is in Australia and ///hamper.keep.banana is in Cyprus. This is just poor development with no forethought.

Great Free App - friend found me quickly in a vast outdoor carpark when I broke down. Delivery drivers love it when trying to find our house. And, in the unfortunate case of an accident, giving a three word location while possibly injured and in shock will be much easier than the alternatives that others are advocating. That is why emergency services and car manufacturers across the world are adopting it.

Great concept and great app. What3words makes it easy to get someone to a location without a street address (or with a street address that seems almost impossible to find). Just need more services to tie into it.

As someone who discovered w3w,six years ago,early one morning while looking on Twitter because I couldn’t sleep.I have been using it ever since to find places,meet up with people and now use the Satnav as it is by far the most accurate on the market.Whenever I have had a problem with the app they have responded,sometimes instantly,at all times of the day.I think four in the morning takes some beating...I said I have trouble sleeping.Family and friends have been using the app almost as long as myself and the system never lets them down.Apart from being an extremely useful tool it is great fun and as children seem to like the randomness of it....it is also lovely to see a simple free app encouraging children to use words...which with all the other distractions these days is quite a feat.Another great feature of the app is the amount of lives it has saved and will continue to do so.

I started using this about 6mnths ago I love it! I love being able to share my 3 words it jus makes so much sense! Deffo recommend it

What3Words has been useful to me in several ways, even including on my own property. Having known it and used it for several years, I've been pleased to see that an increasing number of emergency services are adopting its use. The person in trouble doesn't even need to have the app installed; just call the emergency number you'd call anyway, and they take it from there!

Easy to use and track down locations such as "where are you on the beach? or "which car park are you in?" We used both these last week whilst on holiday in Cornwall!
I'd recommend giving what3words a try. You'll then wonder how you managed without it on your phone!

I've used what3words since the start. It has more than served its purpose. Fun with treasure hunts with my grandkids, locating friends in places, our walking groips use it constantly.
I cannot recommend it enough. Thankfully I've never had to use it in a critical situation. However I know it's there.

I feel the excellent What3words PR team is doing a disservice to the general public by pushing what3words as an aide to emergency services. Both apple and Android phones have a builtin system to make it exremely easy to send you lat/long to emergency services. Users should be encouraged to set up this system.
In addition, all messageing apps on both Apple and Android make is VERY easy to send your current location (lat/long coordinates) to anyone. It just takes about 2 clicks. I feel this is much better than encouraging people to downlaod the w3w app.

I have just started exploring w3w and shared with many friends. It seems to have great potential in providing more accurate directions to people needing to go to various destinations.

Great for meeting up with friends for dog walks. Country lanes aren't always named and it's hard to describe one muddy meeting point from another. What3words pinpoints the exact location, making our starting point much easier to find. It's also reassuring to know that if you need medical assistance while in the middle of nowhere you can alert family or the emergency services to your exact location.

The best location App bar none! I’m not usually a review type but this App is just so so good it’s a must have for everyone. Downloaded it for an elderly relative, showed them how to use it and they understood it instantly and would use it to summon emergency services if they needed to. My complete family now use it and it’s performed so well they love it

I’ve been using What3words for 4 years now and I’m impressed with the accuracy and utility of the app.
We use it for deliveries to our shops and I’m currently building a discovery game for tourists to our town.

Make no mistake, what3words could save your life.
what3words should be pre-installed on every smartphone sold. The ability to identify your location to within a few feet could be the difference between life and death should you ever be unfortunate enough to have an accident or be taken ill in an area you are not familiar with or somewhere with few features with which to identify it.
I am fortunate not to have needed what3words in an emergency situation but I do live in a remote location that Satnav systems really struggle with. Numerous contractors turned up late or not at all saying they couldn't find my house. Nobody has struggled to find me since I started giving my what3words address.

Do yourself a favour right now. Download what3words and spend a couple of minutes familiarising yourself with how to use it before you actually need it. Then take a look at my village:
