This company is anti-employee
This company's top priority is to maximize profits, no matter what. There is a constant focus on the bottom line at the employees' expense. The wages are low compared to industry averages. They force employees to work at least fifty (50) hours a week without any adjustment to the employee' s compensation for the extra hours (you get paid for forty (40) hours a week, although you may have charged fifty (50) hours to a billable client project). It is clearly, a "modern day engineering sweat shop".
Accrued/Earned vacation time is not paid at separation (no matter if the separation is voluntary or otherwise), and severance pay is not paid and never has been paid in the history of the company regardless of the specific situation (layoff, dismissal for cause, etc.).
A 36-year old, son of the woman owner, runs every aspect of the company's business, although he is not an engineer, and is clueless about the engineering industry.
