Everything was good organize, professional and fun for kids.

It was all quite streamlined and easy. The travel could have been better, I wish we got our tickets in advance rather than while the plane was boarding. Overall it went quite well and the schedule was satisfyingly packed.

Mike, our tour guide, made each memorial and museum meaningful and relatable for our group. It was obvious he loved what he was doing and passionate about teaching the younger generation about our history. There was never a dull moment or even down time as we fit in as much as possible in the short time we were there.

Personally I feel that we had the best bus driver (Amanda) and tour guide (Adam). Both were amazing and I highly recommend them both! Our trip was truly a walk back in history. Getting to not only see but to hear the historical facts about the different places was amazing! It went by quickly but each day was filled with so much information that our heads were full. Our feet were sore at night but it was worth it, getting to walk where ancestors did and see a little bit into the past.

You could never experience this much of Washington, D.C. on your own. Our guide was excellent. She made itinerary adjustments along the way based on crowds and weather. She did a great job keeping us moving and engaged.

Our guide Alicia is amazing, fun, energetic, engaging, knowledgeable, and about a dozen more adjectives that describe her as the best guide any group could ever have in Washington D.C. I will always remember her sharing her personal experiences about 9/11 while visiting the Pentagon memorial.

It was a great experience for my child. Worth every penny! He is still talking about it almost 2 weeks later wanting to do it all over again!

Overall it was a great experience. Lines were very long.

My experience was great because I was able to explore many different areas and know about what the purpose and history was about for each memorial or building.Our tour guide also made it a fun experience and gave us details about what the significance of each event was .

Lisa Giles was fantastic! The absolute best guide. Bus driver Edgar was a smooth & brilliantly competent driver. His bus was spotless. Both very patient, easy going, yet efficient and professional.

Better communication. One student had to pay more to fly out due to an error on worldstrides and there was no sense of urgency from your company. The hotel was not great under construction and had a bad smell. The bus wasn't cleaned and the food was bad at some places.

Our experience with WorldStrides was outstanding from start to finish, and much of that success can be attributed to our exceptional guide, Zachary. His depth of knowledge and ability to clearly explain the historical and symbolic significance of each site elevated the entire trip. He did far more than simply present facts, he provided meaningful context that helped, both, students and adults genuinely connect with the locations we visited.
One aspect that stood out in particular was Zachary’s thoughtful explanation of the solemnity and expected decorum at key memorial sites. Before visiting places such as the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the Vietnam Women’s Memorial, and the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, he carefully explained not only what the students would see, but why these sites deserve reverence and respect. This preparation made a remarkable impact. Even students who might typically struggle with self-control rose to the occasion, demonstrating maturity and honoring these spaces appropriately. That level of engagement speaks volumes about Zachary’s ability to connect with young learners.
Several moments during the trip were especially meaningful. Visits to Arlington National Cemetery, the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, and the World War II Memorial were deeply impactful. Watching my son engage with these experiences, particularly as he listened to a Holocaust survivor’s firsthand account, reinforced the educational importance of this journey. These are lessons that cannot be replicated in a classroom setting.
An unforgettable highlight was our time at the World War II Memorial on VE Day, where we had the privilege of meeting surviving veterans. Seeing our students interact with members of the “Greatest Generation” was incredibly moving. One moment in particular stood out: meeting a veteran from Columbus, Ohio, who served in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam. When asked whether he would choose to serve again despite all he had experienced, Harry Miller’s immediate and proud response was yes. This powerful exchange left a lasting impression on both students and adults alike.
Personally, I took the opportunity to reinforce the significance of that moment with my son. His great grandfather served in the Pacific Theater during World War II but passed away before he was born. Being able to shake hands with a veteran and hear his story firsthand is an experience very few young people have today. It is a memory that will stay with him and one that helped spark meaningful conversations about service, sacrifice, responsibility, and patriotism. Thanks to fellow parents, we were also able to capture some of these meaningful interactions in photos.
I left this trip with a renewed sense of optimism. Watching a group of 13 and 14 year olds engage respectfully, listen attentively, and demonstrate maturity throughout the experience was truly encouraging. WorldStrides delivered an exceptional itinerary, and Zachary’s leadership brought it to life in a way that made it both educational and memorable.
In every respect, this was a well-organized, impactful, and inspiring experience. I would highly recommend WorldStrides and commend Zachary for his professionalism, passion, and dedication to creating such a meaningful tour of Washington DC.

Everything was planned out very well. For the amount of money, the flight out to DC was very difficult and should’ve been planned better.

Incredible way to see so much that Washington DC has to offer in a short 4 day trip. Only way to truly get a true understanding of the monuments and museums etc is to have a Travel guide that explains the million hidden meanings at each site. Otherwise you walk through and think cool and move on. With Mr Matt, our travel guide, explaining everything, I thank him for making this an extremely educational and emotionally connecting experience! Thank you Mr Matt!

Don’t take away kids cell phones. I had several times where I needed to get a hold of my son and couldn’t, it was very upsetting
