My experience re locker padlocks
My general experience at Thornton Heath Centre is good as the staff are helpful and the equipment well maintained. However, where it does fails is in the pool changing area. There are only 3 lockers that can be locked without having to pay thru your locker key purchasing system, which, to be honest is too controlling. The main changing room lockers can be locked with personal padlocks. So, why not increase the personal padlocked lockers in the swimming pool changing areas by 25%-50%...

Struggling to book them due to their limited availability
Although there are good classes available, I sometimes struggle to book them due to their limited availability. This is frustrating because I pay for a membership and cannot fully enjoy its benefits.

I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you are experiencing in booking classes at your preferred times, as certain classes tend to be quite popular.
However, please be informed that members have the ability to book up to seven days in advance to ensure their reservations. Additionally, new bookings are made available each night at 10 PM.

Asking questions are so easy, the customer service is great & friendly approach. Easy to change from 1-2 another tarif.

Great leisure centre to get fit and…
Great leisure centre to get fit and healthy. A chance to meet some fabulous people from the local community and make friends. Staff at centre so friendly and helpful and great facilities. From someone who never exercised in their life to a now a regular attendee of fitness classes and swimming, have never felt better physically and mentally. Would highly recommend this centre.

Swimming teachers were amazing. Was expecting too many children in the class but the class was small. Very happy.

I’ve been a member here for a few years…
I’ve been a member here for a few years now but, for some reason my membership dropped off. I have now renewed it as it’s a nice club with a real community feel and great classes and member who are very sociable.

Facilities are poor
The services is good but the cleanliness of facilities is very poor there is no hygiene need new refurbishment or very very deep clean the facilities is used by children elderly but not clean enough. Lots of scaling and black stain in the shower areas

The staff were friendly
The staff were friendly, but unfortunately, the hygiene at the swimming pool was very poor. The toilets didn’t appear to be cleaned at all, and there was a strong, unpleasant smell of urine. On our last visit, the pool itself was dirty—there was something white floating all over the water. I couldn’t tell exactly what it was—maybe toilet paper, sanitary pads pieces, or something else.

Hygiene and cleaning of changing rooms…
Hygiene and cleaning of changing rooms and toilets for swimming pool need to be improve alot. It's really disgusting at moment their gum everywhere, hair everywhere, old clothes, really bad smells , pee all seats and floor. Pooh and blood up the walls. It's disappointing when membership price is same price for normal gym membership.

Not happy with the ratio of teacher to kids for beginner level…
My son and daughter are in a Monday class after school,my son is four but feet doesn't touch the bottom of the pool so the same teacher teaching about 7 kids have to be holding my son and teaching the rest of the kids.i don't think this will be an effective way of teaching.i asked and i was told its 1 teacher to 12 kids in a pool,which is too much for 1 teacher at beginners level.i think two or three teachers should be in the pool for that number of kids as we were on Wednesday class and that's how it was.all days should be given equal treatment as Wednesday is no longer suitable for me because I work wn Wednesday night.hope thorton heath centre looks into this as soon as possible as I told Jim and James the staff there about the situation.thanks
