It hurts me to give this company 1 star as they are completely unworthy of that. My daughter and her friends finished their tenancy in September 23 (Brixton) and have yet to receive a penny back from their deposit despite numerous emails and calls which have been left unanswered. Yes, they may have been students but they looked after and left the house clean and tidy with my daughter working round the clock before handover to ensure it was spotless (she was that keen to promptly receive her money back!) The company were also unhelpful when the flat was broken into and personal possessions stolen, leaving the young women feeling very vulnerable. These young women have been disregarded and ignored for 6 months now, presumably in the hope they will go away and stop seeking recompensation, especially as the property has had new tenants for 6 months now. It is a shame flat deposits are no longer kept with a central government agency as this could've been sorted out a long time ago. I most certainly would not recommend this agency, especially to students who they presumably bank on graduating and moving on out of area and out of mind.

My daughter and her friends moved out of a Black Katz managed property in SW2 in mid September at the end of their tenancy. They still have not had a penny of their deposit returned to them. Despite many, many emails detailing the financials, Black Katz respond extremely slowly and then only to ask the same questions that have already been answered. Stalling tactics. They are holding a large sum of money unfairly. Highly unprofessional.
Such a shame as the initial letting agent was so lovely and the start of the letting process relatively decent.

Our experience with BlackKatz has been great so far with renting a property in a very busy market in London. Especially Johnny who was so friendly and helped us, answering every question we had until we got the flat.

I was helped by Johnny, who was great! He was very helpful when liaising with the landlord and responded to texts and phone calls very quickly.

Tehya at Black Katz has made our experience with the letting agency so much better.

Initially, communication from them was slow and not great but as soon as Tehya got on the job, every maintenance issue was quickly resolved. Our heating was broken and was fixed within 3 hours of us reporting the issue. 10/10 work

They add nice properties to their website or Rightmove but when you enquire, the property was "let" last night. They do however have another property available which isn't as nice and is more expensive. Very shady tactics which they have used multiple times.

I enquired about a Black Katz property through Rightmove and Senior Lettings Negotiator Gary was quick to reach out to me to follow up on my interest and requirements. He played an instrumental role in helping me secure a great property in an even better location in Central London over the holidays last year. And Maintenance Manager Tehya continued with the professionalism answering all my queries and addressing concerns over the period of my tenancy. My experience with Black Katz would have been very different without them.

Johnny from the West Hamstead branch was extremely helpful with my property search. He was advising on every question and sent to me the best properties matching my criteria.

Ridiculous offers and prices. Going too far

I would recommend anyone to Black Katz, everyone who we dealt with were kind, caring, professional and ready to go the extra miles to help. In particular Tom, who was absolutely wonderful.

on the whole black katz isn’t good at sorting maintenace issues and other admin, but whoever Tehya is they always seem to be great at sorting things out so honestly 5 stars for them, 2 stars for the company
