The rudest human being I’ve ever come…
The rudest human being I’ve ever come across at security
Took a sudden dislike to me when we came through the fast track-dismantled everything while 2 other members of staff proceeded to talk about me and how Craig had had enough of me already in front of my child
Being a single mother travelling it would be nice to feel comfortable when leaving our home airport-instead my child was in tears and then didn’t want to go on holiday-so thank you Bournemouth Airport Staff!!
Honestly will NEVER travel from there again
How can an international airport have…
How can an international airport have no transport links whatsoever. Ridiculous. The taxi fare from Bournemouth costs more than the flight. It's cheaper and easier to go from Southampton. I won't be using it again until this is fixed.
Parking prices are outrageous

I was only picking up....... plane delayed and customs too a while
>30mins £5
Sadly i was 40 mins and this cost £7.50
This is the only think i hate about Bournemouth Airport but it irks me every time

From security to duty free & cafe how they are going to cope with jet2 next year beggers belief.
Will never use this airport again
On Saturday we travelled to Rhodes 3 hours late and with half our luggage although we didn't realise this when we boarded the plane. We had watched our luggage being loaded and then unloaded but we were given very little information about what was happening. Eventually we could see luggage being loaded again but unbeknown to us someone had made a decision to not load all the luggage. This person would have known the distress and anxiety this would cause and we spent the next 2 days making endless phone calls trying to locate our luggage. This has ruined an expensive holiday and we will never travel from Bournemouth or with Tui again. The person who made the decision to hold back luggage should be sacked along with the rest of the unhelpful, scruffy and disinterested staff.
Terrible
Terrible! I've travelled from this airport many times and now that they have expanded to many more flights out/in it has become one of the worst airports to fly from. They are clearly trying to improve the facilities but it was mayhem. The movement through to the departure lounge was ridiculously slow with one person checking boarding cards for all passengers flying out, when we arrived there were 3 flights within 30 minutes of each other and another an hour later so one person dealing with 4 plane loads of passengers! Only 2 security belts open and no flight information above the boarding gates. Calling that the flight was early just to get people queuing and out of the departure hall because its not suitable for that many passengers (I know usual airline ploy of getting passengers out of their hair to stand for ages before actually boarding). They have improved the walkway from carpark 3 which was the only improvement I could see. A nice young man taking food and drink orders at the bar. I went to W H Smith for a magazine and because I have the audacity to join the modern world and want to pay by contactless I got the most miserable man on the till moaning at me because I went to the counter to pay, the fact that I had stood in the queue with all the other travellers seemed to mean nothing to him, he was rude and moody. The Airport needs to massively improve to cope with the increased number of passengers. Although it is our most convenient airport I would think twice before travelling from Bournemouth again.

This airport used to be a lovely airport to fly from,
To busy now- delayed flights, treated like cattle, three flights arrive at same time , total chaos,
No one cares , they happily take your money, only 2 belts never know which one to stand by,to collect cases, everyone stands so close to the belt,
when your suitcase comes around no one gives you any room to lift your case off, kids in the way ,this is a major health and safety issue so crowded, the toilets are absolutely disgusting, as previously stated the toilet seat is still hanging off the toilet,,also parking is another issue, what will it be like when easyJet are there as well…!!!
Lord Bath would turn in his grave, come on Bournemouth airport get a grip
Terrible
I use to love going abroad from Bournemouth but my god it is absolutely terrible, the queue was 2 hours long a couple of young girls were nearly in tears as they were worried they were going to miss their flights no time to relax before flying with a cup of tea had to run through duty free so no sales there and if your frightened enough why not pay fast track bloody awful experience fly from London airport that's more relaxing than Bournemouth never thought I would say that an absolute shame shear greediness on Bournemouths part
£5 to drop off your friends
Really? You are an airport. Your customers need to be dropped off, but there is no drop off point and if you try to turn around you get an £80 fine? Instead you have to pay £5 for the privilege of going into the car park while your friends get out of the car. If I traded like that I would be taken to court! What happened to fit for purpose? A drop off point is a basic need for an airport - you should be ashamed of yourselves and more! I certainly won't be using you. What a shame for those that live in the area and could benefit. You don't even deserve one star.
Dreadful queues through security at…
Dreadful queues through security at 5.15 am. Not enough scanning belts to deal with the volume or opportunity to get items ready for scanning causing the whole process to be extremely slow.
We had no time to get a drink, shop or go to the loo before boarding.
Also on the return the toilets by the arrivals hall were disgusting! Toilet seats not attached to the bowl and very dirty
Very disappointing
Total farce going through security
Total farce going through security. Over 1 hour wait. Not enough staff. Not enough machines. Staff very polite. Passengers on the other hand totally stupid. Screening staff regularly spending 10 mins explaining to a groups of girls and families about liquid limits after putting their bags through. Rows of bags waiting to be searched by hand. A sign or staff telling these morons before they put their bags through the machines would help free up the staff.
Security was appallingly slow
Security was appallingly slow , inefficient control , not enough staff or scanners for the volume of passengers.
Entered security at 4.45 am finally got through at 5.50
No chance to get coffee or duty free
Will avoid travelling through Bournemouth in the future .
The airport has degraded....
The airport has degraded both in service level and ease of transit. It appears that it cannot support current numbers of passengers. The security area capacity needs doubling.
Bournemouth Airport zero customer service
FR 5944 15/04/24 @ 15.10 Flight is delayed and not once have they made an announcement. Shocking customer service and some elderly passengers have now been forced to stand around for 45 minutes. Appalling that there is no consideration for the customers. Four staff members stood at the desk having a social and not once has any one of them bothered to check if there customers are ok. Bournemouth is supposed to be a family friendly airport, but by this showing they simply don’t care.
OK but gents toilets are poor
Every aspect OK in my opinion but the gents toilets airside are diabolical and I am surprised that they meet regulatory requirements. You desperately need a refit with more space, more urinals and, especially, more cubicles.
Ridiculous parking charges
It's never been great, but the parking charges, and the way they've attempted to block the walkway for those on foot is utterly ridiculous.
Certain security personnel … powercrazy
Security … hid behind safety in the air which I applaud but disputing wether one plastic. Resealable bag which has been accepted through security in this airport 5 times in last 12 months is suitable is just petty and rather sad and reflective of an older woman with resentment for those travelling and trying to demonstrate power. Let’s down the airport and Ryanair which are always marvellous on time and efficient. Sad old woman really
Public Transport Links
This is a lovely airport to fly from and too. Major problem is the public transport links to the centre of Bournemouth. The only option is a taxi! No buses, National Express, Uber etc. For me this a significant disadvantage for an ‘international’ airport!
Dreadful airport
Dreadful airport. No pedestrian access. If you are arriving / departing on foot, forget it. Pedestrian access is forbidden. You have to arrive by transport. And if you are coming by car, prepare to take out a second mortgage. 2 hours prepaid parking is 38 pounds. Thank goodness for JustPark, who provide independent parking nearby at a reasonable rate. But be prepared for quite a long walk, and to ignore the signs that say "No Pedestrian Access" as you approach the terminal. If you have a choice, travel instead to Southampton, which is much better located and (if you are canny) gets you drop off / pickup for free, at very nearby British Rail facilities.
No public transport combined with an extortionate drop-off fee
I travel 12-13 times per year and try to use small airports whenever possible. Bournemouth is one of those places that could be a great little local airport, but greed and lack of vision just make it a terrible experience, and a place to avoid.
I am in favor of charging people for using their car in an attempt to promote the use of public transport... but that is if you have public transport! Here, you have none. There are no shuttles to the train station and no regular buses. You need a car to get to Bournemouth airport, there is no other way. Charging £5 for a 10 second drop-off when there is no alternative mean of transport is just... extortion. Pure and simple. You charge because you can, not because you provide a service. It is shameful, greedy and the reason why I only use this route when I absolutely have to.
