I’ve had a brilliant experience with Nissan from start to finish. Communication was clear, effective and consistent throughout. Alister was fantastic in helping me find the right car, and Sam made sure everything was ready for me to drive away that day, including all the necessary work being completed and the MOT done. Both were friendly, professional and made the whole process stress-free. The team were also brilliant with the kids, which made the experience even better. An all-round friendly team and a great experience — highly recommend!

Very disappointing experience with Brayley Nissan Coventry.

I took my Nissan 370Z in for a gearbox issue and was advised that the output speed sensor needed replacing. During a recorded phone call, I was told the technician was “quite confident” this would resolve the problem.

Based on their professional diagnosis, I agreed to the £1,100 repair.

Unfortunately, after the work was completed, the car had exactly the same fault. I was then told the gearbox itself needed replacing.

I appreciate repairs can’t always be guaranteed, and I was warned this was a possibility. However, I feel the confidence expressed in the original diagnosis was misleading given the outcome.

Despite the repair not resolving anything, Nissan still expects the full £1,100. They also claimed to have effectively discounted £540 in additional labour, despite the original £1,100 being an agreed all-inclusive price.

The dealership has rejected my complaint, and I’m now taking the matter to The Motor Ombudsman.

My advice: be extremely cautious when authorising expensive repairs based on a diagnosis. Make sure you understand exactly what’s confirmed and what you’re risking financially if it doesn’t work.

I’ve always had fantastic service from Nissan - Brayleys.
Because of my past experience with Chris Newbury and others I was keen to return to Brayleys when looking for a replacement car.
Alistair Harding was friendly, knowledgeable and professional, and clearly understood my anxieties, concerns and needs. He went out if his way to make the whole process of buying my new car straightforward.
I felt very well looked after.

Easy to check in and car was ready well within the time stated. Staff pleasant and helpful.

Nissan Coventry was very helpful and knowledgeable in helping us pick are secondhand juke and explaining everything to us, and Nathan was very good and helpful in looking after us.

It’s never easy buying a car when you live a long way from a dealership. Brayleys, Coventry ensured it was a smooth process up to the point of sale.
The car was presented in excellent condition and all administration completed with minimum of fuss.
One point of minor frustration. It’s important to ensure effective communication post sale as well as beforehand with an early courtesy telephone call within a couple of days to discuss how the owner is finding the new car and whether there have been any issues.

Brayley Nissan Coventry were ever helpful in assisting me in getting my radio recoded. Easy to book in and quick to do what was needed.

I had a fantastic experience during my recent visit to Nissan. The customer service was exceptional from start to finish. The team was extremely cooperative, professional, and went above and beyond to assist me with everything I needed. Highly recommended!

everything carried out quickly and as expected in a recall of my lovely Nissan Quashqai (it was something minor to the e-power function)

my only negatives : (1) no one picked up the phone when i was trying to book it in with Coventry Brayleys (over 2 days to get thru and thats because i decided to select Sales then someone picked up) (2) when I turned up for the scheduled appointment, the outside parking was mainly full of show-cars of Nissan so I couldn't find a customer parking slot other than to double-park.

Recurring fault from the first journey home

My wife and I purchased a car for approximately £15,000 from this dealership on 15 April 2026. On the journey home, a HEV reduced power malfunction warning appeared on the dashboard, and we returned the car.

We were told it had been repaired, but the same warning returned when we drove it home from Coventry to Wellingborough again. We also raised concerns about incorrectly fitted interior trim. The service history, which we had been told would be included, was not supplied, and we were subsequently told it had been misplaced or lost.

When the fault continued, we were directed to a Nissan dealership in Northampton. A recent software update there has also failed to resolve the warning.

Months after purchase, we still do not have a reliably functioning car. This has caused considerable inconvenience, particularly now that my wife needs it for work.

The staff have been polite in person, but we are very disappointed with the handling of the recurring fault and the missing service history. We have raised a formal complaint and want the selling dealership to provide a clear resolution. I will update this review to reflect the outcome.

In the main, all went well with the experience but there were 3 relatively minor aspects that I would put in the survey. Two were self-fixable and the other was inconvenience. To be specific …

• The driving seat position was changed and not returned to its original position.
• The dash-cam cables were unplugged from the front camera and not re-connected.
• At the time of leaving the car, I asked if it could be ready for 12.30 pm. The lady receptionist checked with the service mechanics/manager and returned to say she’d asked for 11.30 am and they had confirmed it would be ready for the earlier time. At around 11.30, I received a phone call to say the car was still being worked on and it would be another 30 minutes or so. I eventually got it returned at 12.45 pm.

As I said, minor items with the 3rd one being the biggest irritation.

Such a warm welcoming from the staff on our visit, Emily was brilliant, helped us from start to finish and was a pleasure to work with, helped with all paperwork, also great communication, explained everything so well . Very pleased with our choice!

Didn’t repair the car despite the faults being pointed out several times.
While I was there ANOTHER customer complained about repairs not being completed.
The car was supposed to be serviced however something as simple as checking the tyre pressure was not done and the dash highlighted the tyres were under inflated.
Braylees imply that the car is kit washed when serviced as most reputable dealers do on the basis of not using water however it doesn’t stop them washing the cars on the forecourt.
Suspect it was a penny pinching exercise
