A couple days ago I passed my driving test first time at Belvedere Centre thanks to John Bolton! I started with John as a complete beginner and was very lucky to have an instructor who was incredibly patient and clear from day one. Any mistakes I made were corrected and practised, making sure I was fully prepared not only for test day but to drive confidently once I had passed. He really understands how to build confidence and explains everything in an easy to understand way. John is a lovely instructor, and I couldn’t have asked for a better person to learn with. I’d highly recommend him to anyone learning to drive. Plus, the car was amazing too, a great experience overall!

Wish I had read the 1* review here already about trainee instructor Ralph Hart. Booked him for a lesson for my son. Arrived 34 minutes late and dropped my son off 30 mins early. Paid for 2 hours and was totally ripped off by him. Called him and asked him why he did this. He told me to "take it up with the office" and hung up on me.

Was unpleasant to my son during the lesson and spent most of the lesson on his phone too.

Having spent £2131 with BSM to date (different instructor) - I will be seeking a refund for that lesson. It was the first and last time we will use Ralph Hart.

UPDATE: BSM refused to refund despite sending in mobile phone tracking to prove the lesson ran 1 hour instead of 2 hours, we also have CCTV at home showing time leaving/of arrival - so I was scammed by Ralph Hart/BSM.

If you live in Herts Hertfordshire St Albans Hatfield Potters Bar Borehamwood Harlow - be careful of this dishonest and unprofessional TRAINEE driving instructor. BSM claim Ralph Hart refused the refund in their response.

I have now reported Ralph Hart to Trading Standards and the DVSA (driving instructor regulator) about this as he has stolen my money and his behaviour is concerning - see other 1* review about him on here as well. If you type "Ralph Hart" in here, days after each negative review suddenly a 5* review crops up for him - makes it feel all the more a scam situation.

I passed my driving test on the first try, and I’m really grateful to my instructor, Jose Caires. He’s a great teacher—calm, patient, and always paying attention to everything you do. You can tell he’s truly dedicated to helping his students feel confident and prepared.

I definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a solid and supportive driving instructor.

I passed my driving test first time thanks to my instructor, Sameer Rashid. He’s a calm and collected professional, easy to talk to and very thorough in his teaching. Without his help I wouldn’t have been as confident and able in my driving.

My instructor Sameer was extremely helpful in improving both my driving ability and my overall confidence on the road, which is exactly what I was looking for in an instructor.
Not only this but we built up a great connection, which made me extremely motivated to want to do well and to continue having lessons with him.
I would highly recommend both Sameer as an instructor and BSM as a driving school for anyone who wants to learn how to drive.

Succeeded in passing my driving test the first time thanks to the careful teaching and patience from my instructor Ahmed. I owe it all to him and my own dedication and care. Quality of teaching content and driving experience really excellent too.

I cannot recommend BSM and specifically instructor Scott Reynolds highly enough. 🌟 Thanks to his outstanding teaching, calm guidance, and genuine commitment to my progress, I passed my driving test first time!!! Scott is professional, friendly, and incredibly skilled at what he does. I’m truly grateful for all his help, and I can confidently say I wouldn’t have passed first time without his guidance.

Today I passed my driving test, and I owe it all to my amazing instructor, Kourosh Zare from BSM Driving School. He kindly took me on at the last minute, after my previous instructor

Kourosh was exactly the instructor I needed — supportive, patient, and gentle in his approach, yet firm and focused on helping me improve where I’d been struggling before. In just one week, he worked his magic and completely transformed my confidence behind the wheel.

His calm manner and clear teaching style helped me stay focused and relaxed, and his expertise is truly second to none. I feel so grateful and blessed to have had him guide me through the final stretch of my training. Thank you Kourosh, we did it!

I highly recommend Mr Kourosh Zare who is an impeccable driving instructor. He was my first instructor and was able to demonstrate great levels of knowledge, patience, confidence and thoroughness with me, a mature driver (over 40 years old who last attempted to drive more than 20 years prior). Together with BSM, Mr Zare saw me pass my driving test on *my first attempt*. He'll keep you safe from the perils of driving in terse urban environments, at speed and more. He is quite flexible for me, being able to accommodate my non-typical schedule which was greatly appreciated. In summary, if you want a good driving school I recommend BSM, if you want an example of a good instructor from BSM: Mr Kourosh.

Thank you so much to Scott Reynolds and everything he’s done. I would highly recommend him for any anxious drivers as he’s motivating and easygoing.

Absolutely cannot recommend Travis Joseph enough passed first time with 2 minors ! From the start Travis has always made me feel comfortable and calm providing an excellent environment to learn and progress with my driving. He has truly supported me through every step of the way with pre- exam nerves, learning how to park smoothly, practicing test routes ahead of time and feeling confident within myself own abilities. His extensive knowledge of the Highway Code and exam tips is truly impressive and I appreciate how well he has always answered any questions I’ve had in such a direct but informative way. Thank you Travis !!

I passed first time thanks to my instructor Shafiq Hafeez. I'm a naturally shy & cautious person but Shaf was intuitive enough to know when I needed more direct tutoring but also when I needed to be gently pushed to take more responsibility and trust myself. I felt that Shaf went above and beyond to teach me the necessary skills to be a good driver and not 'just enough' to pass the test - which in turn made me more confident in my abilities and thus more able to pass. Whenever I made mistakes he was always encouraging and a calming presence. Shaf was also accommodating if and when I needed to move lesson dates, and I would wholeheartedly recommend his services as a driving instructor!

Sheriff was a highly knowledgeable, professional and supportive instructor who took me through a three-day refresher driving lesson. All the time spent with him was a learning experience, as I passed my driving test on the first attempt. Besides his good nature and understanding of what it means to be a 'learner', Sheriff ensured we prioritised the same area of my test, so that I was familiar with the test route rather than just learning the dos and don'ts of driving. All in all, 5 stars to Sheriff. BSM should be proud that they have him as an instructor.

Travis Joseph was my instructor. From day 1 he was super helpful and understanding. Was quick to identify any weak areas and provided great insight into driving. I’m truly grateful for his support and motivation during my time as his student, it was a pleasure to learn a lot from him.

I cannot recommend Daniel Bradley highly enough. My son switched to him after having difficulty getting a consistent and regular lesson with his first instructor. The first thing to note is how responsive Dan was to queries I had, always replying quickly and with proper replies.
Dan gave me an honest assessment and I appreciated this. We had a test date booked and Dan could have used the shortish time frame to push for more lessons but he didn’t. As a parent I really appreciated the feedback that Dan provided. Most importantly my son enjoyed his lessons with Dan and he passed his test first time.
I liked the fact that we could log on and book lessons at different times that suited our availability.

BSM preston is not recommended, they keep training you then tell you last minute like 3 or 4 days before exam you are not ready, they don’t know exam roads.
Waste of money and time, unfortunately happened with some people I know also.

Just be aware of the technique: I can call it: Manipulation and selfishness you will find the instructor telling you I have score and if someone with me fails this score gets affected, he kept repeating this despite getting the highest paid hours as driving school wise.
Happened with me then I contacted one of the local driving school 4 days before exam and I went through and passed.

Just more details to help, if you are having a mock, the instructor gives you unrealistic marking to justify telling you that you are not ready and make you feel unready, one of the mocks before the exam gave me 6 majors and 22 minors then days later I passed the exam with different local driving school, unprofessional way unfortunately.

I started my lessons in mid‑July with pretty much no driving experience at all, and I’ve just passed my test first time! My instructor, George Whorms was really calm, supportive, and great at helping me feel more confident every week. Every lesson felt really productive, and he always made sure we went at a pace that actually worked for me.
The thing I liked most was how he explained everything in a way that made sense. No confusing terms, instead just helpful advice that I could remember when I needed it. He ensured I had the skills not only to pass the test, but to drive safely in real life. He was always on time, and very reliable.

Ralph Hart (Hertfordshire) was a great instructor, I passed first time with only around 10 lessons. He gave elite driving tips and was a very good talkative instructor
I strongly recommend Ralph.

Mario Trapasso was an excellent driving instructor, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the start, he was incredibly patient and detail-oriented, always taking the time to explain things properly and make sure I fully understood where I went wrong and how to improve.

What I really appreciated was how supportive his teaching style was. He didn’t just focus on mistakes — he also made a point of highlighting what I did well, which really helped me feel more assured about my driving. That balance made every lesson feel constructive and motivating rather than stressful.

Thanks to Mario’s dedication and calm approach, I passed my driving test first time. More importantly, he helped me become a much safer and more confident driver overall, not just someone who learned how to pass a test. This is critical as anyone with a license would need to know how to drive safely and legally beyond test routes!

I would highly recommend Mario to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely caring instructor.
