Not an Irish company despite having an Irish CRO number and a .ie website. Customs charges applied by An Post but no reference to same on the website. Very disappointing

As with most of the other reviews, huge customs & duty cost added on to ordered product. Waste of time ordering from here. I'm not paying this extra, will have it returned, and will source elsewhere.

Shocking. Extra charge for adm. service and Customs charges of 11,50. So in total a small element for my oven will cost me in total 46,32€
The real price on the website is 28€ plus 6€ for delivery

This is a scam site insofar as they proport to be an Irish site but in fact they are UK based. This cost me extra in VAT and handling charges which almost doubled the cost of a strimmer cable. No reply to questions and would not cancel the order.

Quick update. I found that Kingfisher Inc. were the parent company of Buyspares.ie and emailed Lorna Dunne at kingfisher. I had an apology from Buyspares.ie within an hour and a promise to refund the customs charges. After about a dozen messages and lots of delays they finally refunded the customs charges today. To all who have paid extra I would suggest chasing them through Kingfisher Inc. which seems to motivate them.

Appalling customer service only available by email and don't answer the queries put to them. They don't send confirmation emails so you can't track your order. This is not an Irish site. Customs due on order before it will b delivered. Already waiting 3 weeks for the part. AVOID this website and this company. Sorry I didn't see these reviews before ordering so I could avoid myself. Worse customer experience ever.

Ordered parts on 10/02, half the ordered
arrived the 14/02 no motor, still Waiting for second have to arrive, send message few with no reply jus automated response, extremely frustrating no contact or update provided, not recommended due to customer support.

As others have stated below…this is not an Irish company and you will have to pay VAT plus other fees.

It’s weeks now and no item…no tracking…no confirmation email…no phone number. Very dodgy. Regret buying.

Unfortunately, didn't realize when I ordered, that they are dispatching from UK: had to pay customs. But some of the parts came quickly and simply did the job. Next time I would try to order within the EU.

Company just set up .ie website to con Republic of Ireland customers into buying thinking no vat required . They are based in UK so you will end up paying through the nose on even tiny replacement parts. Save your money and avoid these con artists.

Bought some freezer trays from the .ie site in August. Got a message from An Post saying there were customs charges due. It was the courier "Connect Distribution services" based in Birmingham who were responsible for declaring the charge due . This is a scam on excise duty perpetrated by the courier. I messaged the supplier to inform them i would not accept delivery as i ordered from a .ie domain and nowhere did it say i would have to pay customs charges. Lo and behold the goods were delivered without further ado. Scummy shenanigans.

UK website pretending to be Irish. Returned an item and they refused to acknowledge receipt of the part and issue refund. AVOID.

Paid nearly the same costs for customs as I did for the part . Not a EU website. UK based so customs apply .
Misleading website using an ie domain .
Don’t bother raising a ticket with them because it will keep saying that you are raising a new ticket and it goes around in circles never getting an answer .
Will not use again .

Buyer BEWARE you are buying from the UK and you will be charged customs not shown on website. This is NOT an Irish company.

Also I tried to contact buyspares.ie using their Contact Form to raise an issue with them. 2 weeks later no response, After the first week I sent a second email via their UK address, no acknowledgement or response. My advice. Do business elsewhere

As with almost all the previous reviewers I ordered a part on their Irish website (not a UK one) and it guaranteed the lowest price and never mentioned additional custom’s tariffs. They purport to be an Irish business and collect VAT, but are intentionally very deceptive to steal business from REAL Irish businesses and EU member states’ businesses.
Beware of this British business.

Really bad using an ie domain then the customer has to stump up import charges from the UK in order to receive the product.

Company is merely pretending to be an Irish company. I ended up having to pay custom charges on top of the price they quoted, because they are not in fact based in Ireland. It's a trick. Avoid them.

Following my complaints, they rebated the customs charges. They are still illegally advertising themselves as an Irish based company, however, choosing just to pay off those who speaks up. Not good enough. Anyone got any ideas on how we can put a stop to this illegal practice?

Ordered a replacement washing machine door handle on Sunday & received it via DPD Today (Wednesday) paid extra for express shipping so total cost was €27, which is reasonable in comparison to the price of a new washing machine! I didn’t have to pay any extra VAT like most people have claimed. Based on my experience I would definitely buy from here again.

Was led to believe it was an Irish company, bought an item for 11 euro then got a bill for 6 euro custom charge before An Post would deliver . Won’t be using them again

Apparently an Irish company but they ship from UK. Got hit with customs charge and they don't care - the reply I got from them is shown below. Hiding this info away in Ts&Cs is underhand - they know ppl will incur these charges and don't care. You can buy most of these spares from Amazon who guarantee no customs charge. AVOID
