The overall vehicle pick-up process is excellent. There was a minor miscommunication initially when Tow truck driver contacted the vehicle owner the night before. I did not respond a text message because it was late at 10:30 PM on Friday night. When the driver call at 07:30 AM if I am available. I did not hear the phone ring. He’d almost rescheduled the vehicle pick up for another date. Fortunately, he called and decided to go back and pick up my vehicle. He performed an excellent service.

My wife and I already missed our 2006 Mercedes Benz S500. It had been an excellent transportation for 20 years. We purchased a new Mercedes S500 with only 6 miles displayed on the odometer. It was a reliable and dependable car with only 131,560 miles for those 20 years.

We decided to donate this vehicle because the remote key is stop working. I have to manually open the doors and trunk. I bought 4 band new Michelin all seasons tires last year. I did not think that I will donate it this year. We think that it is time to let it go and allow a new owner to enjoy it. The proceed from the auction would help the Habitat for Humanity in Loudoun County. It will help many other unfortunate people and homeless for a better day-to-day living assistance.

This is an update concerning the auction of my 1970 VW Bug. After my posting was read by Capital Auto Auction they contacted concerning the actual auction price of the vehicle and informed me that WAMU misspoke on the final auction amount as they would not know the actual amount for awhile. While Capital Auto Auction could not quote me the actual amount it was higher than the last amount I saw before the auction ended. They said WAMU will issue me a 1098C in a couple of weeks with the actual auction amount but until then I am giving everyone the benefit of the doubt. Update to follow in three weeks. I am giving Capital Auto Auction 5 stars for reaching out to settle and clarify things so quickly.

The scheduling and the pickup were both great. Your folks are efficient and very courteous. The driver picked up my vehicle right on time and was helpful in removing my license plates.

This was such an easy process, from the initial phone call to arrange the pick up of the vehicles to the actual pick up. It was a great experience.

The Capital Auto Auction team were customer-friendly and very helpful from the time they contacted me through the pick-up of my vehicle. Upon contacting me, Mel verified the vehicle information and explained the process. She was friendly and thorough. As promised, the tow truck operator, Tony, contacted me regarding the time he would pick-up the vehicle. Tony was on-time, professional, explained exactly what he was going to do, efficiently completed all the steps, including the paperwork, removed the tags, provided me a receipt, explained what to do with the tags, and asked if I had any questions before he left. As important, he was kind, considerate, and a very nice person. Wish more companies had Mels and Tonys on their staff. The best to everyone!

I went online to donate my Suburban to the Salvation Army on a Thursday or Friday, and the tow truck picked it up the following Tuesday. It was quick and easy.

Everyone I dealt with in the process of making the donation was courteous and expressed gratitude for our auto donation. I didn't know from the outset that other organizations would be involved. I think an overview of the entire process would have been helpful.

Jose kept me updated, when he would areive to pick up the car. That was really considerate.

Everyone who coordinated and scheduled the donation was organized and clear and began the whole process quickly. The only glitch was that the driver who picked up the car didn’t take the documents I had ready, per the phone calls. Thus I needed to send them the day after—though Capital Auto Auctions folks made that as easy as possible by emailing a FedEx label.
It was a fast and easy process—kudos!
