1. My husband took an Omega watch in to hopefully sell. They valued at £200. He knew it was worth at least £400 and as luck would have it, sold it the next day for £400
2. He overheard a guy having a large gold coin valued. He was offered £3k which he declined. Last offer was £4k. BIG mark up. Even so the guy walked out saying it was worth more.
3. My elderly parents took some gold rings which were my grandmas. The guy threw them on the scales as if they were loose change from his pocket and valued at £230. Absolutely no respect for the attachment to family jewellery. The local jewellers valued at £70 more same day. Both will have made a profit but this company will fleece you.
