I moved in to a Chancellors-managed flat as a tenant three weeks ago. Upon arriving I found that the mattress was in a disgusting state, the storage spaces were full of unwanted items (some obviously personal belongings), and there were numerous electrical problems. The mattress in particular is really not up to the standard one would expect at the rent I am paying.

Three weeks later, none of these issues have been resolved. Trying to get an update on progress is like trying to get blood out of a stone (calls are never returned). And, to make matters worse I have received several "courtesy" phone calls and emails from different people at Chancellors asking "if everything was OK with my move" which are quite galling given all the issues I have reported: does no-one there read my file before calling me up?

I endured some 10 years' poor customer service from Chancellors when reting another property in the 2000's so I am very disappointed to find that nothing has improved with their levels of service since then.

Jason Byrne has been excellent as a Chancellors representative and has been very easy to communicate with as well as quick and efficient.

My application as a tenant was dealt with swiftly and professionally. Jordan has been very helpful throughout the process.

£80 for ID checks is a disgrace

Be aware that Chancellors force purchasers to pay £80 for id checks to be able to buy a property
Made offer on a flat then made to pay £80 to id checks - I feel so upset and disgusted.

Nice custumer service

Jack has been consistently pleasant and always professional in all our dealings. If I need a question answering, he is quick to respond and to reassure and always kind and understanding. It’s been a particularly difficult time for me as my mother died and we have to sell her home and Jack has always been extremely mindful of this circumstance, helpful and patient. I can highly recommend him and he’s made a difficult period a great deal easier.
