Absolute disgrace
Ill you this. We had a quote today for a lean to style conservatory with a dwarf wall, tiled roof, 2.5 metres sq.
My wife was the person dealing with the salesman, they had the conversation etc and he advised my wife that the side which faces next doors conservatory HAD to be a solid brick wall. Absolute rubbish. And to top it off the quote they came back with is £37,000. Absolute extortion, Ive no idea how you have so many positive reviews. Imagine trying to charge someone nearly 2.5 times more than what the job should be. Youre an absolute disgrace.

In relation to the wall you refer to, without having all of the details of the proposed structure and its specification, it would not be appropriate for us to comment on the specific design. However, if the lean-to conservatory being discussed was to have a solid/tiled roof, Building Control requirements can mean that a suitable solid wall is required to provide the necessary fire protection and compliance. This is dependent on the individual design and specification rather than simply being a requirement for every lean-to conservatory.
We appreciate that the quotation did not meet your expectations, but pricing reflects the individual specification, materials, structural requirements and works included within a project and can vary considerably between quotations.
We’re sorry that your experience has left you dissatisfied and would always be happy to clarify the specification and reasoning behind a quotation where a customer has questions.

Failing at the final hurdle
My extension was going really well. Every contractor I had worked really hard and the project management seemed to be going really well with everyone turning up when they should and the work progressed really fast and very smoothly, but the extension is now supposed to be finished but I have some elements that aren’t finished. I contacted the project manager over a month ago to let him know that the flashing hadn’t been cemented in and finished off and that some of the soil which is above the damp course still needs removing. I got a response to my messages a week ago saying the work would be booked in but still no one has been in touch and we now have torrential rain and I have big gaps in by brickwork where the rain is getting in!
Update 14.09.26 - unfortunately since my last review the guttering came away from the front of the extension when it rained, where it hadn't been attached properly. The team who had previously been introduced to me as the cleaning team were sent out to come and put some waterproof sealant around the flashing and they re-affixed the guttering. As the waterproof sealant was being applied cement was coming away and falling onto the roof. All the brickwork needs looking at as it's not up to standard and there are still gaps and irregularities all over the place. The soil issue still hasn't been addressed.

We fully appreciate how frustrating it must be to now be experiencing heavy rain with gaps in the brickwork, and we apologise for the additional concern and inconvenience this has caused.
We have raised this directly with the Project Manager and asked that the outstanding issues, including the unfinished flashing and soil above the damp course, are addressed as a priority. We will ensure this is followed up so that arrangements are made to complete the necessary works as soon as possible.

Excellent company with aftersales service second to none
In 2019 I had doors, windows and roofing products installed. I was very pleased with the quality and workmanship.
After about 5 years I noticed that about 20% of a door panel had started to lose its shine and the colour was fading. It gradually got worse, so I decided to contact Clearview early June to enquire if this would be covered under warranty.
On 9th June 2026 I sent them, as requested, two photos to show the extent of the issue. The next day I was advised that a new panel had been ordered. A date of 27th August 2026 was given for its fitting and a few days before I received a phone call to confirm that it would be a morning visit.
On the day, the fitter gave me a ring to say he was on his way. He duly replaced the panel and advised me that the keep (lock recess) was damaged, and a new one would need to be fitted. This was done on 12th August 2026 after I again received a phone call a few days before to confirm it would be a morning visit.
I have been extremely satisfied with Clearview and the way they dealt with my warranty repair work. They are very well organised, use quality products and their aftersales service is excellent, keeping you in the loop at all times. I would thoroughly recommend them.

Brilliant after sales service…
We had a problem with a patio door and telephoned them in the morning. They rang back that afternoon with an appointment for the following day. On the morning of the appointment I received a call asking me to attend the surgery for an urgent consultation for 12 noon the same day. I rang Clearview and explained the situation and they contacted their mainteance operative and arranged for him to call early enough for me to attend my doctors appointment. Both doors were thoroughly checked and adjusted by the operative who was friendly and polite and I made it to my appointment. I am impressed with Clearviews after sales srvice and would unreservedly recommend them.

Excellent after sales service
Having reported a fault with our front door lock Clearview arranged an emergency engineer to call. Within only a couple of days the engineer had fitted a new lock barrel and adjusted the door to ensure it was working correctly. Excellent after sales service.

Clearview Home Improvements Leyland…
Clearview Home Improvements Leyland charged just under £5000 for one window and one composite door. Upon the fitters attempting to fit the window , the fitters cracked the glass in three different places, and did not mention this to me, leaving me to find it this way. The interior window UPVC has been left bent.
Clearly the window had not been measuted correctly at the survey stage, despite two surveyors being sent out, causing the glass to crack upon attempting to fit this . The rosewood UPVC has deep chips exposing white plastic beneath. We found the composite door is also chipped. We had ordered a side panel next to the door with satin glass, however a clear glass side panel was issued. The door lock functioning is inadequate, it requires pushing on the door and several attempts to turn the key before it locks. The interior was ordered in white woodgrain across the door and the side panel. Thd side panel is a mismatch cream colour, and it is smooth not woodgrain.
We sent a complaint regarding all the issues to the manager Gary Oakes, there has been no response from him. There has been no apology from the Clearview Home Improvements team, reporting that they will change the window glass and door side panel glass, as well as the door panel so the letter box is in the initial agreed place as per survey photograph. However, there has been no mention about replacing the Upvc window frane which is bent , and most of the mortar above the lintel has washed away due to rain. Just as an update from the reply below from Clearview Home Improvemebts, Gary Oakes the complaints manager, and his secretary have not replied to my complaint at all, and they have not apologised. A shockingly poor experience in every way. I would
not risk my money with this company ever again. Its supposed to be a 20 year guarantee, but they can't honour even 20 minutes.

Let down badly out of warranty
Good experience at first but let down by aftercare team. We had an orangery fitted in 2015 and were very pleased with it despite several issues in the first few years (leaking roof, leaking gutters, water ingress under bifold doors) all of which were resolved reasonably well. Now the warranty has expired and we have another leak from the gutter system they have said they cannot help. Fully understand if we need to pay for it, being out of warranty, but they won't even quote because they have 'too many in warranty repairs to complete', which I guess tells its own story!

We completely understand your frustration, particularly as you were prepared to pay for the repair but were unable to obtain a quotation. Unfortunately, due to our current service capacity and the volume of warranty repairs we are committed to completing, we are not currently able to undertake chargeable service visits for products that are outside their warranty period.
We appreciate that this is not the outcome you were hoping for and apologise that we are unable to provide the aftercare service you require on this occasion.
There are, however, a number of independent conservatory repair specialists who provide services of this nature and may be able to inspect and repair the guttering for you. These companies can be found through an internet search and may be able to offer a quotation for the required work.

new aluminium door and side window
we ordered a new aluminium door to replace an old door, and to fit a new side panel with window. The surveyor took a thorough look at the wall/window which other companies didnt. The quote once made never changed. The worker turned up on the day promised, and all the works including the small things was completed as per my request. The workmanship was excellent, no complaints and the finish superb. The worker tidied up and took away all the rubbish (and other items he didnt need to). I am very happy with the work done and finish and would definitely recommend this company.
