Popped into the Conwy Branch on Monday and was so impressed with the unique style of jewellery and the staff's willingness to assist with such an emotive, personal subject with no pressure given to purchase. Felt so comfy to go back the next day and purchase the Tree of Life pendant, earrings and bracelet...we now feel we are taking home not only a piece of unique Welsh gold but also memories of the warm Welsh Welcome!! Thank you Team Conwy & Wrexham's Manager on relief on Monday 😊😊

This is about your outlet. I recently purchased from your online outlet but now I’m cared it’s not legit. Can anyone confirm that it is?

Ordered to bands for ourselves. Amazing rings, so pleased with them both. The incident we had was that Royal Mail claimed they had delivered them when they hadn’t, customer service were brilliant in helping. Eventually tracked them down. Would definitely buy more items

I bought a ring from Clogau in July 2020 which was under a two-year warranty. In July 2023, it broke. I didn’t for a moment expect that Clogau could do anything free of charge given that my ring was a year out of warranty, but I emailed them asking if they offered a repair service. They replied almost immediately asking me to return the ring to them. I expected to hear back in due course with a quote for repairs. Clogau received the ring from me on a Tuesday - and on the Friday, I received a brand new ring free of charge. Absolutely the last thing I expected. Hands down the best customer service I have ever experienced. Thank you!

What a wonderful store to visit! The manager is super efficient and solved my issue straight away! Would highly recommend using this store. Can’t praise the staff and management enough! Keep up the good work!

I had a very unpleasant experience with the manager of Clogau Conwy recently. I went in to the Conwy shop to discuss an issue, that she agreed to sort out. When the issue wasn't resolved I went in again to politely ask the manager to honour our agreement. One attendant was looking after a full shop of customers. The attendant went to get the manager who when she saw me, went to each customer who had already been seen by the other woman and asked if she could help them. This was done in an obsequious manner to make a point to me – she knew I had asked to see her but was going to keep me waiting deliberately while she performed this sarcastic act. I was quite taken aback as she had been polite and friendly before, I'd even showed her the Clogau jewellery I was wearing that day. I then began to politely ask her to honour our agreement, but she cut me off saying that she did not have to speak to me. She said this in a loud imperious, rude and nasty voice in front of the attendant and all the customers who turned to look. I asked for her boss’s number and she said she did not have to tell me anything, again in a very rude and nasty manner. I have no idea why she behaved like this, which left me shaken, upset, embarrassed and in tears and must have been shocking for the customers too. I wrote to Clogau and received a denigrating, humiliating and threatening letter back from the business manager chastising me for my 'behaviour.' I can only wonder about what the manager said to her, but they did not tell me in their response. Neither the business manager nor the manager seemed to care at all that I was a Clogau customer who has bought numerous pieces from their stores. Since this experience I have heard from two other businesses in town who have had bad experiences with Clogau. They have only been in Conwy for a matter of months and this is a small town so word gets around. Given the way I have been treated, I intend to sell my Clogau jewellery, as I can’t imagine wearing it again. I have also looked at other peoples experiences and see that employees have reported a bullying and toxic culture which chimes with what I have heard and read locally. In line with what many reviewers say, Clogau is badly made. The insert of shell in my ring fell out very soon after buying it and the necklaces I have are thin and tangle easily. The earrings, like the management are very sharp - some customer service training is definitely needed from the shop floor to the business manger. I have also discovered that the jewellery is made in China and not in Wales and is only 1% Welsh gold, so it does feel like a bit of a con - scratch beneath the surface of this company and it seems very ugly indeed.

Sent my clogau cariad pendant back to clogau gold of wales as it was tarnished so badly it was black and unwearable. They wanted to charge me for getting it fixed, even though my friend had exactly the same problem with hers and was fixed free of charge! I am so angry and disappointed, ad I have been a loyal customer for many years! This is a premium brand , customer service is very poor. Won’t be buying again

Loved the Onyx Signet Ring but really disappointed as I had to return it 4 or 5 times due to the stone falling out each time. Staff were great but after the last time the stone fell out i had to settle with a ring I didn't want as much as I didn't want it to happen again as I live in Australia and was heading back that week. The stone in the ring is just secured with a little drop of glue so seems to fall out really easy, one ring only lasted 2 days before the stone fell out. Really disappointed with the rings quality as I loved the look of it.

I wanted to use a discount code while purchasing a ring and also purchase two commemorative badges (they would have cost £8 each using the discount) but as they had an offer one was free I was unable to purchase the badges while using the code.

I messaged before making a purchase as I was hoping they could fix the glitch and remove the free badge option so I could make my purchase. They assured me that they would just send them to me for free after I sent the order number. I was surprised as I was more than happy to pay but delighted that they offered them for free. I clarified it was two badges and it was made very clear there would be no problem.

They sent one badge and basically called me a liar for implying I had required two, I mentioned that it was all in the message stream and they could easily check (it was specifically mentioned in at least two emails) but they don't care.

****They have refused to keep their word.****

I have bought a lot of items for myself or as gifts for others and am disappointed at such poor service over £8.

I contacted them like they suggested below but they clearly only suggested that to make themselves look reasonable to people reading the reviews.

It's like talking to a brick wall and they take no accountability for the fact they promised something that they didn't deliver and then lied about it.

For the third time, this ring has broken. First time it was reluctantly repair by Clogau themselves. Second time it was repaired by a local gold specialist. The material and pierced design appears to be very brittle and not durable enough for day to day wear. My wife is totally dissatisfied having purchased many pieces of Clogau.
It won't be repaired for a third time.

Bought Kensington Love Story Pendant from Clogau on line and customer service and delivery excellent.
I love the pendant but find the chain very fragile and knots very easily. Also the extension links I feel are too large for the chain. I'll probably use one of my better silver chains and enjoy wearing this lovely pendant

Bought white gold wedding ring which turned yellow after a couple of months. Email sent but no response.

I was in Cardiff branch today hunting for the perfect birthday present for myself.

A lovely young lady I believe her name was Kate or Katie wow what a lovely lady.

She was super nice helped me get my 3 clogau rings cleaned. helped me with styles even though I couldn't choose at the time she made me feel so valued even though I felt bad about not choosing. She was an absolute delight and fun to talk to.

I did choose in the end and have a ring coming from your website.

Visited your Chester store and was served by Amanda. Professional, knowledgeable and do helpful. It was a pleasure to visit the store. Such an asset to your company and no doubt will be calling in again

Received a ring for my birthday 22nd July 2022. Loved it. Was perfect. October 2022 I lost a gem stone. After emailing back and forth fast forward to beginning April 2023 and I took it into Clogau store. (I live 100 miles away from nearest store.) Got a replacement under warranty. Looked like the replacement was a reject as the gold had a very sharp pointy edge and I had damaged clothing. Tried for hours to get through to customer service to no avail. Sent a complaint form through website. Head-office emailed and said I needed to call. I emailed back and refused as after 7 hours they were going to call me. Got ring sent back and replaced. Replacement arrived today. Wore it for 6 hours and gem stone fallen out. I’m absolutely livid so I’ve got to do the whole carry on again. So 3 rings in 10 months and it’s still faulty.

I bought a past present future bangle which has arrived and exactly as ordered, unfortunately the whole experience has been tarnished by Clogau customer service, when I ordered the bangel I took advantage of the introductory offer I was given a code to enter at checkout which was accepted but the full payment was taken off My card I emailed Clogau immediately no reply I emailed them again 3 days later and still no repy

Me and my husband used clogau for all our wedding jewellery we bought both wedding rings necklace earrings and bracelet after getting married my wedding ring was causing a painful rash on my finger I have contacted clogau about four times about this asking if there is anything they can do to help even willing to pay for help I went in store twice sending them two emails gave my contact phone number and told by store staff that I would be contacted but clogau have not contacted me at all this is rude and disrespectful even if the answer was no they can’t help they could of contacted to say so but nothing from them at all I will never buy from them again and I am going to put this on all social media platforms I am disgusted and disappointed with there aftercare they take your money and then ignore you the date is approximate

We recently visited the Carmarthen branch and all 3 members of staff that we met were super helpful, so polite and courteous. Nothing was too much trouble and we were able to spend much time deciding and trying on the rings. Stephanie was very patient and gave us much needed advice. We would have no reservations in recommending the Carmarthen branch and staff.

I bought a complete charm bracelet many many years ago , unfortunately lost and unable to claim during transit from Aussie. But paid over £1,600 in 1980’s . Unfortunately when I approach company to purchase what I actually lost , was told all welsh gold is a actual sent to China , then designed. So basically is this actually welsh gold???. As for a company true to our Welsh heritage, should actually be made and designed in our country, to keep our heritage. It’s a absolutely disgusting also a hurtful embarrassment to our culture.

After loving Clogau designs and an owner of the Tree of Life wide ring £600 - 800, a bracelet £1200.00, necklace £? earrings £? Plus a few silver and gold items.... Necklaces and bracelets I'm no longer impressed.
I had to return two bracelets after the catch broke shortly after receiving them. I dare not go out in the bracelet for fear of it failing again. Disappointed that clogau is now made in China. My sister has just had her second ring break in under two years.
To sum up clogau.....
POOR QUALITY for the prices charged. The postage to return faulty goods are not refunded which is a poor policy.
I will not be buying anymore items and will ensure I am removed from their mailing list.
