5 Stars! Fantastic survey report and service
I'm really pleased with the service we have received from Crest Surveyors. The Level 3 home survey was very thorough and covered all areas. We initially had quite a few concerns regarding this property as it is nearly 150 years old, mainly of its integrity due to its age and current condition. However, the Surveyor was fantastic and wrote a lengthy report which gave us great peace of mind going forwards. He gave us feedback on the areas we had submitted in the original form. We were even able to speak to him after we had received our report to discuss a couple of areas. Overall, we are really pleased with Crest. The admin staff who dealt with us were friendly and always happy to help. In the past other surveying companies have made the process feel very rushed in comparison. So it was refreshing to feel like we could call and ask questions, also being kept updated with email responses. We will be using the company again soon and recommending them to all of our friends and family! Thank you all

Terrible
Up to the point of booking the survey and payment, the company were extremely responsive. Post the survey being conducted, I have not been able to reach anyone with both e- mails and calls going ignored. This is holding up my purchase as I wait for clarification on two enquiries raised by solicitors - and also for a copy of the actual survey!
* Update * We have now received the survey and to mirror other comments, it is extremely vague and not fit for purpose. No firm comments are posted and instead constant references to employ additional third parties are made. The report makes reference to ‘inaccessible’ attic space, despite the picture provided showing the attic ladder. This is poor. Despite multiple requests made last week, I am still not able to speak to the surveyor for further clarification - again delaying a response to an enquiry raised my solicitor.

Thank you for your response. Although we value every feedback, we can confirm that your report is not actually due until next Monday 14th November. This is line with our terms of engagement of 6 working days following the inspection which you agreed to, this was communicated in our very first response to your request.
We are sorry that you may have had difficulty getting a hold of us, as we sometimes deal with a high volume of calls and enquirers however, we have responded to your email. All your initial questions and comments have already been passed onto the surveyor to be addressed in the report which is not due yet. We can confirm that we have not received any new queries from yourself or your solicitor. Once your report has been completed, we will issue this to you latest by the due date Monday 14th November 2022. Following receipt of your report should you have any queries regarding any item raised in the report or should you require any further information or clarification, we are always happy to arrange for the surveyor to contact you and we will provide support where required.
We hope we have answered your query and we have reassured you that your report will be issued on time

Amazing company to work with from start to finish. We was in a rush and needed support promptly, we received a turnaround of just 5 days from me calling to receiving the report, each individual I came into contact with was helpful and polite. Thank you to you all!

Avoid! Very disappointing service
I am very disappointed in the service we received from them. The communication in particular was incredibly poor. Our first report was late and due to very ambiguous wording I landed up paying an additional 2/3rd of the price in order to get my remortgage complete which I was very unhappy about. When I tried to open conversation about this I was first ignored then when I followed up was met with an antagonist and unhelpful attitude which is not at all what I was expecting. Would avoid at all costs.

Thank you for your feedback, we appreciate you taking the time to provide us with feedback. Unfortunately, we were unable to re-issue your Market valuation report with a more recent date as you requested in your email on 04th July 2022, implying for us not to charge a fee. There is a standard fee for a Desktop Valuation, and we do not believe in unfairly applying a charge to some clients and not others.
The requirement set out by Target HCA is that a Desktop Market Valuation is required to extend your report after 3 months of the original report. Although this is a requirement set out by Target, we do understand that this can be frustrating for our clients and as a result we never charge the full fee for a desktop valuation. This was clearly communicated to you on our initial response to your enquiry to which you responded to agree to our terms and conditions of engagement. We do also provide this information on our webpage (Shared Ownership Valuation Surveyors | Crest Surveyors).
We believe that you were happy with the Market Valuation Report provided without any issues prior to this request which your feedback is based on. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer a free desktop Market Valuation Report.
We wish you all the best and hope that your application is processed promptly without delay. Should you require any further assistance from Crest Surveyors or have any queries regarding the content of your report, we are here to be of assistance.
Level 2 survey
We was a bit skeptical with getting a survey if it was worth it, but we had ours back within 3 days and any questions we had the surveyor called us and talked us through. He was very friendly and extremely helpful (his name was Wilson). Don’t usually write reviews but they have been excellent.

Extremely disappointed with the service…
Extremely disappointed with the service and lack of response with Crest. I chose them because of the ‘raving’ reviews and ratings from TrustPilot but I totally regret it. I had to constantly chase to get a booking in place (their phone line seems to be ‘busy’ all the time and email is like a black hole, I very rarely get a reply back). The report wasn’t very clear and there was a lot of generic points that doesn’t really add too much value. I sent through some queries to the surveyor and after a week I still haven’t had a response. So I’m not very happy with the my experience overall.

Although we aim to answer all our calls and respond to our clients’ emails as quickly as possible, we understand that when we are unable to do so it can leave our clients feeling frustrated. Although we are unable to identify or verify this particular case, we would nevertheless like to apologise that we have not met your expectation. We do offer all our clients the opportunity to have a telephone consultation with the surveyor following receipt of their survey report and this service is provided as an ongoing support to our clients should they have further queries about the property or if issues are raised by their solicitor. We would be happy to arrange for the surveyor to contact you to go through any queries that you may have in regard to your report in addition to a written response to your queries. We do ask our clients to bear in mind that there are differences between the different levels of the RICS Surveys and we do provide the RICS Guidelines for each level of survey, so our clients are well informed on what inspections are carried out and what to expect in their report.
Please do kindly contact us or provide us with your details so we can look into this matter to try and resolve any pending queries that you may have.
Superb service
I used Crest Surveyors for a Help to Buy redemption, and they are excellent. Reasonably priced, superb service. Very quick to respond to questions, very quick to get reports out.
I dealt with Anu and Thomas the surveyor, both did a brilliant job.

I am very pleased with the service…
I am very pleased with the service I received from Crest Chartered Surveyors. They were professional and carried out a thorough RICS Home Survey report. With the results of their report, I have a clear understanding of the condition of the home I look to purchase, prior to exchange of contracts. I am now in the position where I can take remedial action steps based on the completed inspection.
My experience with Crest Chartered Surveyors has been pleasant throughout and I intend to use their services again in the future.

I recommend!
I can honestly recommend their services. I used them to get a HTB repayment valuation. The whole process took roughly a month (around 2 weeks to get an appointment in the week after, then a week to get the report back). Thomas, the surveyor was very helpful and respectful.
