We were looking for a new bike for our 10 year old-it’s a birthday surprise so we couldn’t try her on it for size and it is only her second new bike (the downside of having 2 older sisters!) so it’s a special one for her.
John was amazingly helpful….he told me which measurements to get from both her and her current bike so that we could be as confident as possible that it will be the right size, and we now have a beautiful new one hiding in the garage for the big day.
I am super confident that if it isn’t a perfect fit then John and his team will make it so, and it’s great to buy local 😊

I think this is probably the best bike shop in York, the level of service and quality of their work is excellent and most important of all if you have a subsequent problem they sort you out with no questions asked, it’s just come right back and we will fix it! That’s customer service at it best. These guys really walk the walk, not take your money and forget you ever visited. Give them a try, you won’t be disappointed.

Honest, excellent advice about replacing my old bike which had sadly become uneconomic to repair. The replacement that was recommended to me by Jon is ideally suited for me & the cycling I do. The rest of the team were great getting the new bike set up exactly as I needed it too. Thanks!

Good non rushed assessment of what we wanted from purchased bikes as first stage. Opportunity to try out in carpark more than 1 bike. Time to go away and reflect. Good experience then of ordering chosen bikes and on collection day help & advice, re using the bikes, saddle height, loading onto tow bar etc. Have since used the bikes on the terrain we wanted to access and they’ve been perfect.

I saw a very helpful member of staff and there was good communication during the puchasing process (bike2work scheme).

I've used Cycle Street numerous times and they've rescued by temperamental VanMoof on many occasions. They are completely honest, always being straight on what can and can't, should and shouldn't be done with a bike - with fair prices for necessary work and sometimes nothing at all for tweaks and advice. I've never had an issue with any of the jobs they've done and they are a friendly lot and patient with my almost complete lack of knowledge. I can't recommend them highly enough.

Dropped my bike off for a full service, and they text me a few hours later to say it was ready for collection.

Great experience getting a mini service for my Road bike at Cycle Street. Done in a day and on a day that worked for me. Excellent and friendly service and very pleased with the result.

I have had my bikes repaired there for many years and have always had a great job done at a reasonable price.
I have just bought a new bike from them and when I went into the shop they had the perfect bike for me.
Jon, the owner, is very friendly and knowledgeable about what he sells.
