Shady business
Ordered a dress in February 2025 that was supposed to arrive about 4-6 weeks later. By April I still hadn’t heard from this company about the status of my dress ( which I needed for my daughter’s engagement party) so I called the manufacturer myself. The dress ended up being very cheaply made , didn’t look at all like the website so I shipped in back and never received a credit. I have been contacting them for over a year and got a response that they’re waiting for the dress to be returned to the warehouse to issue the credit. BS bc I tracked the shipment and it says it was delivered to a house in NJ . Then they “ revamped “ their entire site probably to keep from getting caught for their illegal activities , as I now see other reviews on Reddit etc that this business is a scam. Stay very far away from this shady business!
Unprofessional Dispicable Liars
District 5 Boutique received a single star because that was the lowest possible rating I could submit. I have had an ongoing issue with District 5 Boutique for more than two years, with absolutely no resolution. I am presently crafting a letter to the BBB to lay a formal complaint against them. After which, I will seek legal counsel to file a lawsuit against District 5 Boutique. I ordered and paid for a dress in 2023. The dress was never delivered( They ceased production), yet they utterly refuse to refund my money. Hazelle, one of their customer service rep, has been dishonest and lied several times to cover for District 5. While I was awaiting the above merchandise, I ordered a second dress that was described as a maxi dress. After several months, the dress arrived soiled and was a midi with a huge split in the back of the dress. This was not included in their description of the merchandise. I took pictures as they instructed me, and they told me to return the dress. To this date, they have not refunded my money. Hazelle stated that the merchant is no longer with the company. This is merely the tip of the iceberg. I can go on for days about the lies, the dishonesty, the hide-and-seek, and the silence. Please take this review seriously. Think long and hard about doing business with District 5 Boutique. The guile and unprofessionalism will frustrate and leave you flabbergasted. BUYERS BEWARE!!!! They are morally reprehensible. I am owed over $4,000, which they refuse to repay.

Extremely Disappointing Experience — Lost Over $1600
They will make you regret the day you were fooled by their ad, stole more than 1600 $, we never got a refund or even an alternative dress. They had the biggest red flags on them but I was blind. They don’t have a review section not on instagram not on their web, when I tried to warn everyone and expose them they threatened me. I know now that they can’t actually hurt me (more than they already did) but At this point, I’m exhausted and drained from trying to get my money back, I don’t have any fight left in me. I just hope this review helps someone avoid the same situation, I saw at least 10 to 15 victims on social media
Extremely Disappointing Experience – Never Received My Dress or My Refund
I placed an order on August 23, 2024, and to this day I have not received the dress nor my refund. When I ordered, the website clearly stated that the dress would be made and shipped in September, and I was completely fine with that timeline.
However, September passed with no shipment. When I contacted them, they told me the order could not be canceled because they had already “confirmed it with the designer” and that due to the “expensive fabric” and “pre-order policy,” cancellation was not possible.
Despite many follow-up emails — most of which went unanswered — I received a message in February saying there was “good news” and that my dress would be shipped within 4–6 weeks. I was hopeful and waited again.
Then in May 2025, they apologized and offered me a $200 compensation and told me I could choose another dress from the available collection. I selected a dress, only for them to ask me to pay the price difference.
Why would I pay more when I never received the original dress I ordered last year, and when my refund still hasn’t been issued?
As of today, they no longer reply, I haven’t received any compensation, and my refund was never processed despite sending them all required information multiple times.
This has been an extremely frustrating and disappointing experience. I do not recommend ordering from this website under any circumstances.
