Very poor quality sandals
Very poor quality sandals - worn out after very short time. These were bought from another retailer but with DP brand and extremely shoddy. Waste of 'real leather' straps which are cracking after a few wears and terrible plastic sole which is lifting at the toe end. The right sandal was also constructed with a shorter length strap which fitted too tightly and misaligned! Not recommended.
Delivery charges not clear
Wasn’t clear on delivery charges .Did explain that the website didn’t show the details charges already on .So they won’t refund .I did explain that my options were not clear .

To make matters worse, I was charged 3 separate return fees, even though all the items were from the same order. These additional return charges, along with the extremely time-consuming return process, weren’t made clear when I placed my order. Had I known, I would never have wasted my time or money on this company.

I am so pleased they have an online shop because they have always just understood my size in clothing ranging from a 12 from college days to 18 and i’m now 14-16. And the same for my footwear. They are Quality & Affordable and extremely underrated.
Terrible customer service via AI
Terrible customer service via AI and it is impossible to speak to a human to sort out a problem. The clothes might be nice but it is not worth the hassle!
Hidden charges
I placed an order the price was clear and as expected, I click pay and as I did the price increased
I had to wait until the email arrived to see what had changed, it seems I was charged for insurance something I would never have taken out
I raised this and was told everyone is automatically opted in and you need to opt out - yet I saw no evidence of such a thing
The experience wasn't great prior to this to be fair, I was searching for items and being shown 14/71 without an option to see the next page, cleared it tried again the same but different numbers. Perhaps I should have simply deleted by basket at that stage as it wasn't performing as it should have
I think charging people automatically, in a world of Consumer Duty where products should be what the Customer needs and transparent along side the expectation of treating Customers fairly that this is not an acceptable practice, perhaps Watchdog need to investigate
I won't be using them going forward and hope they review their processes, as a Customer should be asked if they want something and if so, they can select it - it should not be added assuming it is need, especially when there is no mention of it, it reminds me of when banks were adding insurances on Customer loans and agreements years back

Why is this company still running online? There is no customer service whatsoever. I wanted to place an order but payment wouldn’t go through. My bank said there was no problems their end. I tried contacting them but there is no number and process is laborious! I remembered all the problems I had with returns about two years ago and nothing has changed. Want to order but this is my sign not to.

Just been informed that a refund will be processed for product, not postage cost ??? , and have not received any notification about my request for compensation, due to having to dispose of a dangerous damaged product. Absolutely disgusting companies, don’t buy anything from them
Shocking customer service. Parcel nowhere to be seen
Probably should have looked at all the shocking reviews before bothering to shop with you but here we are. I purchased two pairs of shoes for a wedding, and paid for next day delivery. These should have come on Wednesday 3 June but of course you chose to send my parcel with Evri who are the most diabolical delivery company known to man. They of course decided Wednesday night at 9pm that they couldn’t deliver that day. Well, the wedding was yesterday (Friday 5 June) and the shoes never came and the tracking never updated since then so god knows where they are. The issue I have is that the shoes are too late for my event and now I just want a refund but apparently I have to wait until either 9 or 14 of June to ‘see if they turn up’. I just want a refund so you may as well do us all a favour and just refund me and track down the parcel yourselves? Not to mention your customer service is impossible to get hold of on every available channel. Of course you don’t have a phone number as I imagine you’d ne truly over run with thousands of angry customers by the looks of things!
After using DP for many years
After using DP for many years, I'm sadly sick of the terrible customer service (taking far too long to refund returned goods) and now the SEEL 'postage protection' charge of £5.99 which is automatically added to your cost unless you untick it, which is easy to oversee. After opting for next day delivery (£5.99), I then accidentally paid £5.99 extra for SEEL protection, confusing the two. A very costly price for ordering 6 items, 4 of which I have sent back anyway. On top of this, I inputted a code for 25% off from Blue Light card which was honoured at checkout but then not when payment was taken. There's no way I will use them again.

Why as DP gone down hill as l used to love their clothes but will not order any more, luckily lm only £22 out of pocket unlike other people on here.
The order came through quickly
The order came through quickly. Had to return as too small. Would have never of bought from Dorothy Perkins if I knew it was coming via Debenhams as last year had to wait over 5 weeks for a hundred pound return from Debenhams, said I would never order from them again.
I have been waiting 4 weeks this time for my refund. Now not ordering from DP again. Such a shame as I like DP clothing.

Told them Evri dumped my delivery at front of public communal entrance. Ie tech on the street and its not there. They are insisting its been delivered. Its breach of contract as the contact is my door number. They are ignoring further emails so I wont be buying from them again. Update still evading dealing with the issue. Happy to take your money as the seller contract is with them re delivery but they evade taking responsibility. Shocking customer service and attitude!

I returned an item on 13th April 2026 and I still haven't received my refund, I have lost count of the minutes, probably adding up to hours now, of time wasted on trying to resolve this and still no refund on 21st May! Utterly disgusting. I had the same issue last year with Debenhams and swore never to use again, not realising that DP was part of the same group now. It has to be illegal, or at least something needs to be done. I'm going to contact the press as it's disgusting in this day and age. How can I give it minus 10 stars :(

Such a shame and not what they once were at all. I have been trying to return a blouse for OVER a month and contact their customer services team. I had returned the blouse, which was then sent back to me !

Since they ive just been communicating with their facebook account and have been asked to generate a new label. This has really wasted my time. Im really not happy at all! Avoid at all costs.
To add further insult to injury I have now been told I wont be entitled to a refund as too much time has passed. Which wasn't my fault as I have been trying to contact them for over 30 days.
Complicated returns service
Complicated returns service. Single order required items to be returns via 3 different methods : post office/Evri/Inpost. Resulting in my making an error in returning items via Inpost instead of Evri. BooHoo parent company customer service have only social media customer service. Parcel apparently not delivered despite Inpost confirming that it was returned to DP warehouse. Many, many, many emails later BooHoo have reluctantly decided they will refund me. But not after being admonished by them & treated as if I am conning them.
Stay clear
Would never buy again cost delivery and return to send a terrible quality blouse cheap rubbish at a high price £5 out of pocket
Poor company, poor customer service
I placed my order on 29/04/2026, I received it on 5th May 2026.
When I was placing an order, they failed two times the card I regularly use everywhere for my shopping even online. Anyway, it was free delivery as my order was over £70. After two failed attempt, I decided to change different card to pay. I entered my card details, went through bank authorisation and came back to DP. Payment successfully completed with £2.99 surprise cost.
When I received my order, one item was missing. I sent full query in iMessage customer services, received the response next day with “I understand your concern.
As I can see, you are asking about the delivery fee. Yes, there is a delivery fee applicable with your order amount of supersaver Delivery £2.99.

My missing item query completely ignored.
Sucking customer service, poor response, poor policy. No more orders from this company. I am waiting for this company to shut down.
