I do not like their return policy
I do not like their return policy. Customer pays $5 handling fee and return shipping after paying the original shipping. Makes it hard to buy online. Customer is out approximately $15 when something is sized wrong, or is not described correctly.

Bought online
Bought online, easily two sizes too big, so I tried to return it to a store. The lady refunded me too much. So I went back a second time to make it right, which resulted in her charging me too much. Trying to be honest literally cost me. I will not buy online again, and will be so so careful in purchasing here again.

I was kept up to date on my item shipping and received it in 3 days. I recommend this site to anyone. The one thing i did want to comment on is the clothes themselves run about 1 size too small so order up. I definitely liked the Adirondack jacket I ordered.

Poor Quality
I have loved shopping at Downeast for years, but I've noticed that the quality of the clothes has diminished. I recently bought two blouses for work and within 2 wears and washes, both have seams popping out, the fabric looks worn in spots, and there are threads hanging out everywhere. The blouses have not been worth the money I paid, and because of the horrible return policy, there's nothing I can do about it. I am SO disappointed in this brand and I won't be purchasing from Downeast again.

Not good if you need to return items
Don't order from here unless you're 100% sure you aren't going to return anything. They charge $5 to return it (restocking fee???) and they don't pay for return shipping or even give you a return label. So I paid $11 to ship it back plus the $5 fee. Might as well have kept it since the item was $30. Never buying anything from them again.
