I recently had the worst experience with Dublin Coach, the worst service I have encountered in years. I was catching a bus from Kildare to Dublin when the driver, extremely rude and dismissive, barely looked at me as I asked if the bus was going to Dublin. He simply said “yes” with a sharp and unpleasant tone.

Once on board, I noticed the fare was higher than expected, so I questioned whether it was correct. Only then did the driver inform me that the bus was actually going to Limerick! I could have ended up in the wrong city and lost my entire day.

I don’t know if the driver’s intention was to make more money or if he simply didn’t care, but when I confronted him, he claimed he didn’t know how to refund card payments and practically threw me off the bus. I had to pay for another ticket on a different bus.

To make matters worse, I tried contacting Dublin Coach to resolve the issue and request a refund for the incorrect ticket they sold me, but nothing has been done.

Be extremely careful when boarding one of their buses – their drivers are unprofessional, and their customer service is non-existent!

The worst service I've ever had the displeasure of trying to use. Waited an hour and didn't arrive. Was told by a fellow user that it's always late or doesn't turn up at all. Waited incase it was late but didn't show up. Went for the reliable aircoach, bang on time. I will never use dublin coach again

Not the first time being left on the side of the road no sign of a bus, no alerts, no operator answering phones after five, as of how this company gets away with this I don't know for example how many others are now waiting at other stops freezing some may have to now sort accommodation for another night or miss a flight or an important appointment, that's how they get away with it people do rely and depend on public transport and I feel terrible for the results and consequences people suffer due to just negligence and ignorance from this company if your lucky to get a bus it will not have WiFi or working usb ports but will have a disgusting odor from the toilet if you can travel another way, do so.

Unbelievably poor service. I have used, or attempted to use, this bus three times. First time the door on the bus was broken so we drove down the motorway with it rattling from the air getting through the seal and the driver had to keep stopping to re-shut it. Second trip the bus was cancelled, the replacement was an hour late and had an absolutely disgusting toilet and was so overbooked we left about twenty people standing in the cold at Kildare village, and currently I am waiting on a train that I have had to book as my latest bus has been cancelled last minute. I am not hopeful of a refund. Please find any other way to travel.

Booked bus from limerick to Dublin this am 07.05 -bus cancelled no alerts on website-No heat on Bus, toilets not fit for purpose-how do they think people will put up with this unhygienic toilet -no excuses whatsoever-I’m now waiting in Burgh Quay for return journey-now 19.30 still no sign of bus - very unhappy-thus company does not deserve business -

There is no toilet in the bus its 3 hours 30 minutes journey and they said its my fault and they did not return my ticket ridiculous

Very bad service bus didn't show up we couldn't make on time for our flights for holiday. Very bad costumer service the phone number is a joke you can ring them and no answer email service to I can't get refund for ticket how is that possible.

Writing this as I'm on my way to the airport in a taxi when the 5.15pm bus from Dundrum didn't bother showing up despite knowing there was a pre booked passenger waiting. I have used this service for years and will hesitate in ever using it again. Not even a courtesy email to state the bus would not be running to give passengers time to make other arrangements.

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. Got the bus from Abbeyfeale to Dublin for an Ireland rugby game. It arrived more or less on time. We had to pull in twice between abbeyfeale and the motorway for the driver to put coolent in the bus. He continued to drive it onto the motorway, where we broke down completely. A bus came about 5 mins later but could only take 20 people. There was 40 something of us. So all the front of the bus got off first. We stood on the side of the motorway for another 20 minutes for another bus. Thankfully, we were lucky to get on this bus, but 2 other people were still left behind. We made the match on time, but it was such a rush. Coming home the following day, we waited for the 4.15 bus, which I had been tracking on the app and it said it was due to come but never did. A bus came at 4.45 and the driver said it was going to ennis. I asked where the bus for abbeyfeale was, and he said it broke down. Then he came off the bus and announced the bus was going to abbeyfeale. But the other driver said no, it's not. There were 3 men all working for Dublin bus with different versions of where this bus was going. Eventually, they rang the depot who confirmed we could use the bus to go to limerick and change over to another bus to go to abbeyfeale as this bus was to continue to ennis. In desperation, we took the bus hoping that there would be a bus in Limerick that we could get to abbeyfeale. We stopped at the luas for drop-off pick up. While we were there, we saw a bus that was the bus we needed to be on. There were about 10 of us in total that needed to get that bus. Thankfully, the driver got off and asked if we could swap to that bus and have a direct drive home, which we did. This bus then carried on to kildare village stop. When he was pulling into the bus stop, he hit the other bus with the back of our bus. We made it home eventually. But it ruined what had otherwise been a lovely day and night in Dublin. This service cost us €94!!! It would have cost us less to drive up. I feel so sorry for people who rely on this service if they don't have a car.

The timetable is bullshit. They have cancelled half the buses andeft the station times the same . The bus goes from Killarney to tralee and vice versa as one bus is gone

My last time getting this from the tralee route out. 3 weeks ago I complained about the exact same thing. It's detouring to killarney will be stationary there until half 4. I've sports at 7 so won't be able to eat properly beforehand. I asked the driver is killarney broke down again he said no just don't have the buses. The delays are absolutely ridiculous shouldn't be on the road if they haven't the sufficient buses. At least with bus eireann you know departure time and coming any route past adare always 20 mins delay.

Unreliable no show buses. About as likely to turn up for you as the missing racehorse Shergar. As reliable as a chocolate teapot in the Sahara on the hottest day of the summer.

Currently travelling to Dublin from Dungarvan at 6.10 am The bus arrived on time, but the heating is off and the bus is absolutely freezing. A very unpleasant smell also from toilet. A very cold unpleasant journey, will not use again.

No star for this company’s management

Waiting an hour and a half for a 300 bus going to Kildare village which is meant to be every 30 minutes. By the time the bus showed up, people with pre booked tickets for three separate services had accumulated and instead of making it clear who would be prioritised and who would be getting on the bus, driver just sat there with the door closed taking videos of the queue (which went all the way down the quay). Never again

Took the bus from Dublin to Dungarvan and back. The bus broke down each time, on the way there and on the way back too. Both buses looked like they were falling apart. Avoid.

Dreadful service. Will never use again. They are always late and air con often broken. They cancelled on me once 10 mins before as I was standing at stop.
Save your money and use bus eireann

Second time now that bus hasn't arrived, at all... Soooooo unreliable

Not reliable, no one answers the phone. Don’t rely on it if you need to be somewhere important. Doesn’t show up and the price you’re paying is daylight robbery €27 one way from Ennis to Kidare Village told to get out at UL and wait for the next one to come that doesn’t bother showing up.
