OK, but massive (30%) price hike without any claims - make sure you don't auto renew!
Took out home insurance last year - price was good, and reputation good. They even gave a donation to local church roof repair fund. Never had to use them in the year so was surprised by 30% price hike to renew. I contacted them to ask why it had gone up 10 times the rate of inflation. Got a cut and paste response about rising costs and so on. Got same coverage for about £150 less elsewhere. If you are going to use this company I would make sure you do not do auto-renewal otherwise you might end up with a hefty price hike.

I have found they offer a good comprehensive house insurance at competitive rates with the advantage of monthly payment that is not at an exorbitant interest rate.

Sad to leave
I was with Ecclesiastical for about 5 years Home and contents During that time I was very happy with care and speed they dealt with a couple of small claims. No claims for I think 3 years.
This year my premium increased by about 30 % to over £1000 per annum.
They expressed no concern or offered any hope of negotiating when I called and the cancelled my DD without comment. Sad to have left them but saved over £400 a year
