I bought two Volt electric bikes for myself and my wife about six months ago. I don't normally write reviews but we get so many people asking about them and they really have been great so here goes!

I bought a Volt Alpine (mountain bike) for myself and Volt Metro (folding bike) for my wife. Before purchasing we'd spoken to and visited a lot of shops however without a doubt the guys at the Electric Bike Store were the best and most helpful. They offered good advice and really knew what they were talking about.

Price wise the bikes are good value considering that you get a two year warranty and that they use all the latest technology such as Lithium Polymer batteries. We found that most other manufacturers were using older technology and trying to pass it off as new. What we didn't realise until we did our research how important it is to have the motor in the rear wheel and not in the front wheel. Like the guys in the shop said 'have you ever seen a front wheel drive motorbike?'. Also it's not until you try a bike with the battery fitted on the rear pannier that you realise that the weight distribution on the bike is all wrong - this is not a problem on the Volt bikes as the battery is fitted onto the bike frame directly under your seat.

Ride wise the bikes have been excellent. Even though the weather hasn't been great over the past six months we've still managed to clock up almost 700 miles. Incredible considering we never used to do more than a couple of short rides a year on our old push bikes. The bikes are easy to control and the pedal assistance is easy to operate. Also the fact that they have a thumb throttle is a god send. When we bought the bikes we didn't think we'd ever use it but reality is we use it all the time for that little burst of extra power when you're going up a steep hill!

To conclude, I couldn't recommend the Volt bikes highly enough. They're well built, use the latest technology, the guys in the Electric Bike Store are great to deal with and if you want to guarantee getting out on your bike and feel healthier and fitter....get an electric bike.

Love my new Volt Alpine and I'm very happy with the service I received from the guys at Electric Bike Store. They answered all my question and I was able to test one of the bikes out before I decided to buy it. The power of the motor is really impressive and I can't get over how much fun I'm having using it. Thanks again.

Looked at loads of electric bikes, then chose the Volt Alpine Mountain Bike from these guys.I've really put this bike through some pretty tough riding which I genuinely didn't think it would handle, but it's outperformed my expectations and this is why I'm writing the review. They said in the shop it was one of the best electric bikes available.. and they weren't wrong. The staff at electric bike store were very helpful and you can test-ride the bikes at their store on London Bridge.

Love my new Pulse, bought it last week from the Electric Bike Store. I used to get the train to work and spent over £200 a month on tickets. This bike will pay for itself in under a year! Love it.

I live on the south coast and ordered my Volt Pulse online on a Saturday of a bank holiday weekend. I had a call later that day from Electric Bike Store confirming my order. They then arranged delivery to a local bike dealer near to me so that my bike would be fully assembled and checked out prior to me taking delivery. Considering it was a bank holiday weekend I was still able to collect my bike on the Thursday whichI thought was outstanding. Electric Bike Store kept me informed all the way through the process and then phoned me once I have taken reciept of my bike to confirm all was okay with the bike and to advise on how to get the best from my new bike.

I woud whole heartedly recomend Electric Bike Store to any current or would be electric bike riders. Other stores could learn a thing or two on customer service from Electric Bike Store.

Just had a bike delivered in Cornwall. Excellent company, a pleasure to do business with. Love my Volt Pulse, it is by far the best looking hybrid electric bike I have seen (and I've looked at a lot!) It also performs above and beyond what I expected and tackles the Cornish hills and cycle paths with ease. Electric Bike-store what can I say ? I did a lot of research before buying and and spoke to a lot of stores and these guys stood head and shoulders above anyone else. High recommend both product and Store you will not regret it.
