Early Disconnection and Unjustified Fees

Empower disconnected my cooling service on 25th December 2024, well before the due date, even though the bill clearly stated payment was due on 5th January 2025. They charged me an outrageous 1,000 AED reconnection fee for their mistake.

To make matters worse, their customer service is unresponsive and unhelpful. Reaching a resolution has been extremely frustrating, with no clear answers or accountability. It seems like they care more about charging fees than addressing customer concerns.

I strongly advise against using their service.

Very Mediocre Service…

the customer service is 0 they are literally not professional, my AC get disconnected when i was travelling and it took them 1 month to reply back, i have no words just to say that its the worst entity you can ever deal with in Dubai

Awful customer service

I sold my apartment a couple of months ago and still waiting for the security deposit to be returned. It takes them ages to process this. Also, the only option for receiving the deposit back is cheque or cash. I'm an expat that moved away. All other providers, like DEWA, Lootah Gas etc. were able to transfer the security deposit. Only Empower does not offer transfers, and even for the cheque issuance they take months and months and months. Why is this so difficult? With the account closure there were also lots of other unnecessary difficulties.

Disappointed. Bad experience

My bill for 2 months is around 900 dirhams and because i forgot to pay, they charged me 1000 dirhams as penalty ! and they cut the AC connection. I have 3 year old son, and we are all suffocating because of heat and humidity ! The helpdesk is very bad. just recorded messages, you can not reach any representative ! the worst experience in my life

Absolutely disgusting company

They are a fraud of a company holding to your money as moeny grabbers. 6 weeks to receive a refund. Absolutely despicable! Where is the law here? Why are they allowed to offer anything to the public ?

Unbelievably Horrible Service – A Complete Nightmare

This has got to be the most miserable excuse for a service provider in the entire history of humanity! Their customer service is the absolute bottom of the barrel—cheap and downright embarrassing. And don’t even get me started on the people working in their call center—seriously, are they trying to be as awful as possible? The whole operation is a joke, with processes that are so third-rate it's almost laughable. Just pathetic.

Honestly the worst company in Dubai by miles. No one replies to emails been trying to process my final bill for a month now.

Shocking service no one replies starting to wonder if the company even exists. Quite happy to take money but when try to get deposit back.

Fraud! If you are smart you will stay away.
1stthing to do before renting in Dubai! check your chiller provider. otherwise you are going to get robbed for sure, but that's not the worst part! Just in this case you won't know what to do about it..

Worst Customer Service Experience

Dubai is renowned for its exceptional quality of service, a key factor in the city's success. Unfortunately, this company, despite charging exorbitant prices, fails to deliver even basic customer service.

While I was my summer vacation, I encountered issues paying my bill on time, largely due to their frequently down and non-functional website. Although I did not exceed the deposit limit, I acknowledge my oversight. However, I was shocked to be charged an outrageous reconnection fee of 1,000 AED (approximately $300). Despite paying this fee, I've spent hours trying to reach their customer service with no success.

Here are just a few of the issues you can expect to face:

1) High Service Costs: If possible, avoid areas with district cooling to save on costs.
2) Extremely Unrealistic Reconnection Fees: The fees are exorbitant and unjustifiable.
3) Unreachable Customer Service: It's nearly impossible to get help unless you visit their offices in person.
4) Outdated Online Portal: Their website is often inaccessible and poorly maintained.
5) Confusing Billing: The bills are difficult to understand, making it unclear why you’re being charged certain amounts.

It seems that when a company holds a monopoly, they feel entitled to treat their customers poorly.

Horrible Customer Service and Incompetence at Empower



I am extremely disappointed with the services provided by Empower. They have consistently demonstrated the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Here are just a few of the issues I’ve encountered:

The customer service team is unresponsive and unhelpful. They take an absurdly long time to process any request, and when they finally do, it is often incorrect or incomplete.

Emails and requests are ignored or misunderstood. It feels like they are completely disconnected from reality, unable to comprehend basic requests.

The level of inefficiency at Empower is baffling. Simple tasks take ages to be resolved, and follow-ups are a nightmare. They make it incredibly difficult to get anything done.

They appear to have no problem-solving skills or willingness to help customers.

It is shocking to see such a poorly managed company operating in Dubai.

Worst policies of this company

Worst policies of this company. They will never change. They abuse their power in the areas they service. I have never seen such a horrible service when it comes to managing the accounts. Refund of security deposits which has been sitting in their accounts for YEARS they wont return easily. They make it so difficult and tedious that i am shocked this company operates in technology advanced city like Dubai. Its a shame.

Domestic Ground Mount Array

APRIL2024
We have just had a ground mounted solar array from Empower.
From the first contact by Rob Mayes we have met and dealt with a whole team of capable and friendly people. Empower is to be congratulated for assembling this dedicated group. All questions and explanations were made most willingly. There is a lot to learn and understand about the use of the power once generated.
Special mention to Rob Gray and James who did our installation. ( quite a lot of lateral thinking) Christian and the technical support team in the office for patient explanation of systems. We have a ground mount to be proud of! Straight as a die and rock solid ?TJ and ?
Office contacts always with a smile which is hard to do in a busy environment, thanks Shelley and Megan

The worst customer care team i have…

The worst customer care team i have ever encountered.
They had disconnected the service when there is no bill payment outstanding and instead of disconnecting some other tenants they disconnected ours and instead of owning the mistake they have done they are reluctant to send a technician to correct the mistake and is delaying to reconnect for the past 2 days.
The customer service executive Lillibeth is so adamant of not sending a technician and is finding reasons to not forward the call to management nor speak to another representative.
We have started filing a case against this as this has caused 2 days without chiller in the apartment and at the end of the month which will be still be charged to us for sure.
Worst customer care team ever seen.

So we recently moved out of our flat

So we recently moved out of our flat. We closed DEWA and our gas connection without any problem.

Then, there was empower...

Believe me when I say this is an incredibly unprofessional service. We are tenants trying to close our account with them for the last 2 weeks
They demand stuff like landlord's trade licence (what trade licence? He's a landlord). This is on top of 10 documents they ask to close the account.

They just keep this process back and forth so they could charge you meanwhile.

Bro just let me close my account and go on my way. I gave you the NOC from the landlord. Be like other 6 million services that do it right.
