We visited Evans Halshaw Gainsborough last week to look at the Omado electric car, after spending half an hour looking round the showroom nobody approached us to offer any help or advice so we decided they don’t really want to sell cars so we left and went elsewhere.

Bought a car that seemed fine to start with. After a week, started experiencing issues with starting. After multiple times ringing with no response I finally got the car booked in to be looked at. This left me with no car for 2 days, costing me train tickets and uber's to get to work with no curtesy car available to me. When I came back to the branch to collect the car after being looked at, I was told the team had gone home. A member of the sales team then had to find the keys for the car as they weren't left with an appropriate tag to find. After 20 minutes of calling around staff members who had gone home, they had to unlock a tool box that the key had been left in. I then had to drive the car home with no explanation wether the car was fixed or what the issues actually where. When I called the next morning to find out the issue, I was told I'd get a call back from the person that worked on the car when he got in at 9am. I still haven't heard back from them. Poor communication from everyone involved in resolving the issue and I have had nothing close to an apology for this.

24/04/26 despite assurances on my original review that the lack of contact would be investigated, I’m yet to hear from anyone.

Scratches and chips on used car I was purchasing and was assured these would be repaired by their professional ‘paint guy’. I could have done a better job at home. Wax left on car, salesman quipped that at least that showed it had been waxed. Personal item from previous owner still in car on collection and personal data not wiped. Tyre low pressure light on at collection and one key not working. Complete lack of care. Made clear I wasn’t happy and was advised to contact manager the following Monday. Detailed email sent via Kieran, completely ignored. Avoid.

I purchased a Ford Puma ST Line X at Evans Halshaw Ford today , Ben Harrold dealt with me , he was excellent from start to finish , from enquiry , test drive , trade in , through to purchase of my new vehicle and all relevant documents .
He was pleasant , patient and explained everything fully through every step , putting me at ease , through to driving my new vehicle away , I did not feel pressured regarding my purchase at any stage which I liked , Ben was excellent , would highly recommend , very happy with my purchase .

I purchased a car from Evans Halshaw (Gainsborough). While the sales process was fine, the after-sales experience was disappointing, particularly due to safety-related issues identified shortly after collection.

I experienced braking problems, which required urgent attention and multiple follow-ups. This raised concerns about the quality of the pre-delivery inspection (PDI) and caused unnecessary stress.

Although the issue was eventually addressed, communication was poor. I am also still awaiting reimbursement for a brake pad invoice and an update on a missing locking wheel nut.

Overall, the lack of urgency around safety issues let the experience down.

I can say .the staff brilliant. Hayley was outstanding.
Evans Halshaw did exactly as I required going through the hole experience of me buying a car.

Do this branch actually want to sell cars? Walked round lot, saw a car we might be inerested in, went into showroom, some staff dealing with customers 3 or 4 just standing around chatting to each other. One asked if we were being helped. We said no, before we could ask for car to be unlocked told to come back in half an hour. All we wanted to start with was sit in and look round. Walked away, you have lost a cash sale and won't be back. Customer service non-existant.

My wife and I visited Evans Halshaw, Gainsborough, it was there that we were dealt with one of sales executives, Hayley. She dealt with us in a very professional manner. Hayley took time to explain everything regarding the purchase of a new car. Hayley is a credit to Evans Halshaw organisation.

Hayley at Evans Halshaw Gainsborough was most helpful, supportive, knowledgeable and professional throughout the search for a new used car. I had to go from manual to automatic, gave criteria I needed, 5 doors, petrol etc. At no time was I pressurised to divert off what I needed. Hayley knew my criteria, price range and this was adhered to at all times. As a lone female, I never felt intimidated or uncomfortable in the showroom. Thank you Hayley, Lewis and Kieran.
