Havasupai Falls is incredible.
We are experienced hikers/backpackers and have backpacked in 6 continents. The guide arranged for us by Explore-Share had only been to Havasupai Falls one time. We were basically "guinea pigs" for this trip. Whether or not he was even authorized to charge a fee to guide in the reservation is still in question(which we didn't know when we signed up). His knowledge of the area was minimal (especially compared to other "regular"hikers we met at the camp). He was late 2x for arranged schedules the first 24 hours causing a cascade of problems leading to hiking in the heat of the day and arriving at camp when all the desirable campsites were taken. We lost trust in him very quickly the first day and after the first evening, we basically didn't believe anything he said. When we sent an extensive list of our grievances to Explore-Share and our guide, they comped us for lunches(which were never provided but paid for in the itinerary). Explore-Share expressed that they are an intermediary and don't really control any refunds unless approved by the guide. They took no responsibility for the poor guide service but did offer us 10% off our next trip. Sorry, but that will not happen. If you tolerate mediocrity, that is what you will get.
This is the first review I have ever posted(either positive or negative). Please do not use this guide service for Havasupai Falls.

Amazing experience with spectacular views and really friendly guide

I had 2 really great days of climbing with Dimitris. He chose beautiful routes that were appropriate for me and he impressed me with his professionalism, expertise, and safety. Add his climbing stories & interest in listening to mine and they were truly memorable days.

Javi and Teresa have assisted us from the beginning, not only in planning a tailor-made tour, but also pointing us to a local rental for the equipment. Javi is very friendly and highly experienced, a very reliable guide, and we had a great time all together. Sure, we will book with TRAD again if we get back to Lofoten Islands.

I was looking for Guide to help me with Mont Blanc skiing. Maksim was great, he knew what he was doing and considering options of possible routes and conditions. On first acclimation day my girlfriend joined us and he was friendly and helped her as well. He was patient and he knew when I start to struggle to slow down pace and help me a lot. Mostly he is a great person and we had a lot of fun and new friendship

I had the absolute pleasure of doing a sunrise photo trek to Laguna de los Tres with Daniela E. Astudillo, and she was simply outstanding.

What really set her apart was her flexibility and commitment—she adjusted her schedule to match the weather forecast so we could experience the best possible sunrise. That alone made a huge difference, and it paid off in an unforgettable morning.

Daniela has an incredible eye for photography and took me to the perfect spot for capturing the sunrise over Fitz Roy. Beyond that, her knowledge of Patagonia is exceptional - she shared fascinating insights into the region’s history, geology, flora, and fauna throughout the trek.

What makes her truly special is her passion. She genuinely cares about delivering the experience her clients are hoping for and goes above and beyond to make it happen. Knowing that she has climbed Mt Fitz Roy herself adds another level of authenticity - everything she shares comes from real, first-hand experience.

The fresh strawberries Daniela shared at our final picnic at Laguna Capri were so yummy and beautifully refreshing. Thank you!

I can’t recommend Daniela highly enough. If you’re looking for a guide who combines deep knowledge, flexibility, and a true passion for making sure you get the best sunrise shoot, she is the one.

I did the Grand Canyon rim to rim with Gallant Wind Guiding through Explore-Share.
James and his company (Gallant Wind Guiding) was fantastic and incredible. Super helpful, excellent meals, great conversations, I could not ask for more. I would go with him again, in a heartbeat. Super!!!

Marine was knowledgeable, patient, and kind. She was an excellent guide!

My experience at the "Rjukan Universe" was phenomenal! Jørn was an exeptional guide and instructor with enormous experience and unique hospitality skills. Rjukan truly is a magnificent ice climbing destination and Jørn made sure that I could experience all the possibilities in terms of route difficulty and variety. He has greatly expanded what I thought ice climbing could be and I am definately going back first chance I get.

I've used explore-share a few times now and it has always been a great way for me to connect with guides while traveling.

Nicolas was a fantastic guide and knew the mountain and conditions like the back of his hand. He knew exactly when to go for it on the off-piste adventure, checking the snow regularly. He was very pleasant, friendly, put me at ease and inspired confidence as I was quite nervous due to it being my first off-piste experience. We had an epic day that was the highlight of our holiday. Can't thank him enough.

I have used Explore-share a few times to find a guided trip when travelling solo. They carry a very wide range of options which is both inspiring and great for a solo traveller like me looking for a group to join. They are very professional in their approach and also actively seek feedback after the trip. I cannot fault them and would not hesitate to use them again.

The guide was amazing! As well as the course he gave us lots of local history. The guide’s equipment was top notch and saved me having to take my own. 5*+

We were very lucky to get Patrick Carminati to be our guide as we were very happy with his services.

He was very kind and patient to explain the steps and prepared us very well for the ice climbing course. We felt very safe throughout the journey and very well taken care of. He was also very knowledgeable and experienced as he taught us the skills for ice climbing.

We also appreciate the transparency from his side with the sub-optimal conditions with the thick snow covering the waterfalls and are grateful that he proceeded with the course anyway.

It was an overall very good experience and I’d highly recommend to anyone out there.

Unfortunately the guide was late to arrive but did stay on a little longer to make up the 1/2 day.

Katsuhiro is a very experienced and knowledgeable guide. He knew where we could get some good ski lines even though conditions were not awesome.

Constantly evaluating conditions and snow and safety along the way.
He’s been doing this for over 20 years. He knows Hokkaido.
If you want to support local guides and just get out and ski this is the way to go!

AVOID! AVOID!! My trekking holiday was doomed from the start. Explore-Share’s “itinerary” was not what was provided. Firstly I was advised in the week before departure that airport pick up was not available as promised, so I had to throw away my hotel booking close to the airport. Then a relaxed day 4 summit on Mt.Kenya was reduced to a 30min hike on day 1 and summiting on day 3 leaving me at risk of insufficient acclimatisation and altitude sickness. Most annoying was that “inclusive” accommodation and meals (according to Explore-Share) turned out to mean the local operator would try to make me pay again for almost everything (except on the mountain). I was even coerced into lending over $700 to the local operator because quote “the money has not come through yet” (from Explore-Share). I only got the last refund for all this several weeks after getting home - and still lost money because of bank charges which Explore-Share did not pay. I HAVE FELT LIKE THEY WERE TRYING TO RIP ME OFF THE WHOLE TIME AND IT IS SO ANNOYING!!
