Well, what can I say apart from massive superlatives! Jack came to the appointed time right on, he sought clarification on the tasks, offered options and spent time clarifying the total costs.

After his first visit, he roughed in the plumbing as agreed. The work was clean, accurate and used quality fittings. He also attended to a few odd plumbing jobs at short notice. Jack’s communication and customer service was very professional.

The service was fantastic all round. I made an urgent booking at 7am after a terrible night of flooding in the house...within 3 hours I had an incredible plumber at the door to assess and fix the problem. I was given a clear and reasonable quote and the work carried out was quick, efficient, and effective. Joseph even took all the rubbish away with him. Nice, reliable, and friendly. Aaron from fix it right plumbing worked on a complex flooding problem on my property that other plumbers could only guess what the issues were. Aaron used the latest in technology to isolate the exact problems without doing exploratory work first. This saved me time and money. He was an absolute gentleman, up front and honest. We contacted Fix It Right Plumbing to investigate a mystery water leak which had caused our water bill to double. They sent out their plumber, Arron Kirwin on Tuesday 4th August to assist.

Arron ran a series of tests and confirmed that there was definitely a leak but was unable to ascertain the exact source of the leak. He advised that he suspected it could be under the concrete driveway but needed to conduct an acoustic test to help pinpoint the source. As it was raining quite heavily that day, the acoustic test would not be able to be done effectively due to the interference by the noise of the rain.

Whilst here, Arron also checked all the internal taps inside the house, and cleaned the tap filters which were dirty and fixed the water pressure issue in our en-suite shower which has made my husband very happy! This was all done at no additional charge.

Arron returned on Thursday 6th August and to conduct the acoustic test. He was able to confirm that the water was in fact underneath our concrete driveway as he had suspected. He drilled a few small holes across the driveway and ran a gas pressure test to pinpoint the exact location of the leak and then he cut a very neat and small hole (about 50 x 50cm) in our driveway and found the pinhole sized leak in the copper pipe and repaired it. He said it looked like it had been leaking for quite sometime but because of where it was, it had made it difficult to find, especially considering the leak in the pipe was the size of a pinhole!!

Whilst here, we asked Arron if he could also check our storm water pipes. Arron put his camera and water jets down the pipes and discovered that we had a major blockage in one of our storm water pipes just near our boundary under our front lawn. By now it was 4.30pm, so he would need to return another day.

He returned again on Tuesday 11th August. He dug a small 1m deep hole in our clay soil to expose the storm water inspection pipe and junction where the blockage was and tried to blast it with jets but it wouldn’t budge. He managed to get a camera down past a tight tangle of tree roots and discovered that there was not only tree roots blocking the pipe but also the remains of a soccer ball, a tennis ball, a rubber ball and a spiky dog ball! Unfortunately, they were about 500mm past our boundary, but still technically in our pipe, so our problem.

After discussions with some of his colleagues about how best to tackle it without having to involve the local council, it was decided that a much larger hole would be needed to get better access to the pipe on our side, to try and pull the balls out and then replace the pipe which was damaged and leaking.

Some reinforcement arrived with the boss, Richard, driving from Carrum Downs to Werribee with a small bobcat digger. Richard and his digger made quick work on the hole and Arron was thankfully able to reach down into the pipe and remove all the balls and clear the pipe.

Whilst Arron was doing this, Richard raced down to buy some additional supplies needed to repair the pipe and also a concrete sewer inspection pipe surround cover to put over the storm water inspection pipe in the front lawn.

When he returned, my husband mentioned that he had been looking at getting one of the concrete surrounds for sewerage inspection point in the back yard, so Richard jumped back in his van and raced back down to buy another one and when we asked how much it was, we were told there was no charge.

Arron then replaced and repaired the storm water pipe and then he and Richard filled the hole back in and cleaned up the area as best they could, which was tricky being sticky clay soil!

We were very impressed with both Arron & Richard’s professionalism. They both followed Covid-19 Safety measures with mask wearing and social distancing and Arron even offered hand sanitizer.

Arron was very knowledgeable and was always polite and friendly. He provided a courteous phone call or text prior to arriving each day and was either early or right on time. He was also very tidy and clean and explained every step of the process, including costs involved and options for what turned out to be two very tricky issues and a huge 3 day effort.

We would not hesitate to recommend the services of Arron and Fix It Right Plumbing and will definitely be using them for any future plumbing services we may require in the future. The professionalism displayed as well as attention to detail and customer satisfaction was second to none.

Thank you Daniel for replacing my hot water system that decided to die right before Christmas. Daniel has visited a couple of times for different reasons and was very helpful and professional in quoting a fair price for a hot water unit. Install was quick and easy and I had hot water back by lunchtime.
