First time visiting stayed in the lifestyle lodges with a hot tub Monday till Friday had an absolutely amazing time staff were friendly and helpful nice and clean and comfortable will be going back again
No care for the environment or any…
No care for the environment or any animals in it. This has been heavily demonstrated through their appalling plan to build 104 woodland lodges, a water park, hotels, monorail and much more on scotlands treasured loch lomond front, taking out hundreds of ancient trees, the quiet serenity of the place and endangering the surrounding wildlife. The North of Scotland has been relatively untouched and preserved making it one of the few beautiful places left in the world. Evil acts such this are destroying natures work. Me and so many others are beyond upset with the news and will do everything we can to make sure this does not go ahead or else this satanic company will gain no business on the land.
Dirty place...
Dirty place. Most of attractions closed. Loads animals not there anymore. Not the same as from years ago. Even f1 cars caused injury to my daughter hand as steering wheel went crazy....could write longer but most of other reviews will have same info..
Actually shocking!
No option to give it a zero!!
We arrived at the place for a football tournament weekend.
We arrived late around 9pm, we were checked in by a women whom had no interest in being there and was discussing with another colleague the fact she hadn’t had her tea yet and was so hungry. She handed us our paperwork and gave us very vague directions as to where our accommodation was. She did not inform us of a map being enclosed within the paperwork. However I had recieved a text message from BT promotions with the accommodation details so I knew where we needed to be.
After circling the area for 40 minutes in the dark we eventually found what we assumed was the caravan we had been allocated. It was not numbered. We typed in the code in the key safe however this wouldn’t work. After trying 3/4 times, I eventually gave up, during this time I was calling the number we had been provided if we came into any issues, there was no answer, then I realised that the key the hungry lady at the check in had given us was the key for caravan 36.
So I thought it was my mistake and drove to caravan 36 to find a family in full swing in there!
At this point I was outraged, I returned back to the check in point, I called the number for BT promotions again- still no answer .
So I had to call 24/7 flamingoland security .
What I endured that night by 2 grown men was absolutely shocking, sarcasm, intimidation and patronising hostile behaviour. Luckily my daughter recorded they way in which they were talking to me, they told me they had nothing to do with BT promotions and that I should be greatful that they were helping me, a women alone in the dark with 2 children at now 10.30pm. They didn’t apologise for the inconvenience nor did they sympathise or show any empathy situation or the with the mix up of accommodations.
Instead I was told I had problems and probably did this everywhere I went.
They confirmed that the key safe needed reset and therefore that’s why the key wasn’t released originally. So mistake by flamingoland and BT promotions.
They also did not care for the fact that check in had given me a key for a caravan that was already occupied by another family. Instead they found it amusing. One of them laughed at me. It was 11pm before we were able to get into the caravan, which the security men had already been into and turned on all the lights.. weird.
I spoke to Tom from BT promotions the following day whom admitted to knowing about the mix up with the accommodation and regretfully said he put his phone away and didn’t see the missed calls the night before .
He arranged a meeting with Rob the flamingoland manger for that evening.
Rob was apologetic and said he would investigate the issue with the security men in question. He also said he would like to make the rest of our stay enjoyable and to take any hostility away from the experience of the night before. He said to leave it with him and he’d be in touch with a solution/ resolution. I heard nothing. Since returning home Iv emailed Rob 3 times and left a voicemail . Iv had no response . Shocking that this place is meant to be for families and the people in charge are far from caring towards families. Ruined the experience and positive memories of a place I visited since a being a child. Never ever again. Paid £690 for the weekend!! Robbed.

Went today (Tuesday 6th may) for the first time in 13 or so years. Was really excited, but honestly, it was just completely ran down compared to how it used to be. Half the rides seemed to be closed or simply opening and closing all day, with me and my partner walking around for around 45 minutes trying to find a ride that was actually open. We watched pterodactyl get stuck with people at the top just hanging there. I’d say a rough 70% off the shops/food stalls were closed and I felt anytime I tried speaking to shop/food staff there was some level of language barrier. Thought we’d try the zoo to which it just looks like a building site and the old log flume ride rivers being completely dried up making the area look worse. I currently have a Merlin pass but wanted to try flamingo land with it being so close to home being a 45 minute commute compared to a 3 hour Alton towers commute, possibly get a flamingo land annual pass, but after today, we left at around 1/2pm and I can’t say I will probably ever go back to flamingo land, just feels like a fair ground now😔
Splash Zone Aquarobics
Although I can only review the Splash Zone and aquarobics class, I give the staff, facilities and class top marks. We have found the staff to be most helpful, polite and cheerful. It's great that we have the pool to ourselves for the duration of the session, as we have with the jacuzzi and sauna. The lady that runs the class is lovely and very professional. The price of £12, which also includes a drink and chat in the cafe afterwards is my best investment each week. Thank you 😃
Giving this a 1 as no option for zero.
Giving this a 1 as no option for zero.
Having stayed at the park many times over the past 20 years we decided to take the family for the day while staying in primrose valley.
Paid nearly £300 between us all which was a complete waste of money.
Hardly any animals in the zoo for the kids to see and the park is now very run down and dirty. In my opinion the park should have been spotless due to being closed for the winter months and only 1 week before the new season opening. They are good at taking money off everyone but not putting it back into the park. Tickets are also £2 more expensive at the gate pp than advertised on the website.Rip off and will not be back.
We stayed at a lodge for 3 nights…
We stayed at a lodge for 3 nights during the February half term. We had really nice time.
Check-in was quick and we were in our lodge in no time.
The lodge was spacious and clean. Kitchen was well equipped so it was easy to prepare cooked meals.
The stay included entry to the park, zoo and also to the waterpark and evening entertainment. It was nice that we could use all the amenities for all day after the checkout time.
The zoo was fantastic! We have very much enjoyed the keepers animal talks and I would very much recommend these.
Being February only certain rides were open, but this was clearly advertised on the website and also after booking we had a call to remind us of this. We loved the rides that were open and there were actually many open (our kids are primary school age), so it was perfect. The queues were not long, only a few minutes wait, some rides had none. For the rollercoaster, if the spaces in each wagon were filled to full there would be hardly any waiting too.
The waterpark was very good too. There are water slides and a jacuzzi for adults in a sperate room. We enjoyed the swimming pool and went twice during our stay.
Overall really nice half term break.
Absolute scam
Absolute scam. Booked tickets to come today, not once did it advertise that non of the rides are open. 3 baby rides in operation, thats it. Apparently its on the website if you “search”. Shouldn’t have to search if tickets are being advertised. It should advise you at the checkout page before you pay
. Kids used to love coming here but wont be returning. In addition the park is scruffy and run down. Wouldn’t be worth the price if the rides were operational.
I have always thought highly of flamingo land but think after reading reviews on here over a couple of years it might be good if the owner could put some kind of statement for the future together.
I have just been reading on hear and maybe the owners could put a statement together about the future of this once a fantastic place . What they might do to bring it in line with the modern theme parks and what they might to to allow owners have friends and family visit then in their own caravan without having to purchase an owners pass. My friends and family want to see me , stay with me etc just let owners who don’t sublet use their passes for their friends and family so no photo iD just the owners of on them and the owners have to be present on site during their visit. Job done
Because I also was told by someone on site and I googled it to find that your probably better buying a cheap house or flat and just live in the village near by as they get FREE PASSES TO THE PARK and they can use facilities out of season like pool for a small charge but our friends and family need to buy outrageous price passes. When those in the village paid nothing you as owners pay £5600 plus if you need another 6 passes that would be another £1080,00 how is this fare or acceptable. Googled and found this

"I am looking forward to the pub opening up again too." The pub is set to reopen in summer after a refurbishment.
Nick, who has lived in the village for 20 years, said: "We love it. Villagers get a free pass to Flamingo Land so we get to go to the zoo a lot which is a perk of living here
Glad I found discounted tickets.
To be completely honest even at £84 for a family of 4 it was still a complete waste of money. Our children have been wanting to visit, so whilst on on holiday in the area decided to run the risk the poor reviews were over egged. Sadly they proved to be accurate. Our first issue was our tickets disappearing from their app the day before, thankfully a quick call was all that was needed with instructions to go to the information building & they could print them.
On our arrival we noted just how quiet it was and how there seemed to be a lack of noise from the park, which should have been red flag number one. We decided to start with the zoo and it was sad to say the least, whilst I understand there was work being carryout the signage was incorrect, as animals had moved. The animals we did see looked fed up and of they'd had underpants they would have ended it all with them. After a wonder and what was probably best described as a nice walk not a day at the zoo.
We decided to go on a few rides and that was all there was actually running, the children were bored after 4 hours including a trip to the Costa for coffee and cake for an hour, which was one of the only places open, we had planned on the refillable drinks but it would have been a waste of money as there were limited places open to refill them.
The staff all seemed fed up and at 17:00 you could actually sense the happiness that their day was over.
There are better places to visit and spend your money with.
Too expensive
Too expensive. Rides closed including main roller coaster. Halloween a let down. At £50 a person and rides closing from 3.30 turning people a way and then letting others after on .. still light at 4.30 and nothing to do from 3 45pm ! Park very run down in areas ! Food places dirty !
Rainy day was the best!
We bought a voucher on planet radio for £100 for 4 of us. We are a family of 2 adults and 2 kids aged 12 and 15. We went on a Saturday in October and it was raining! We couldn't change the date so dressed like we were going hiking and off we went not really expecting the best! But wow! What a day! I advise anyone to go on a rubbish weather day.... We walked onto almost every ride or queued no longer than 5 minutes. With the right clothing and attitude we had such a blast! We managed to ride at the front of the big rollercoasters and what an experience that was. Such a buzz! We all agreed the experience was whey better on a poor weather day than queuing for hours on a sunny day. It even added to the thrill .. just expect to look really ugly and make up down your face hahaha. Great times!! Staff were great, friendly and seemed keen and alert when securing people on the rides. Attention to detail was spot on. Fantastic day. Thank you Flamingo land!
Awful place now
Been going for around 14 years in the Scottish October week, every year it’s been getting worse and more run down, this year is our last!! Rides closed, which then has a knock on effect on the few rides that are open causing big queues, the zoo is very run down and reminded me of the scene in Jurassic park when no dinosaurs can be seen on the tour, eating places closed, and the ones open are an absolute rip off, can see this place closing in the next 10 yrs maximum.

Arrived Saturday 7th September with a family of four, including 2 children aged 7 and 3. Half of the rides for my young children were closed or out of order these included dino roller, go gator, cyclosaur, zooom, flip flop and navigator. My youngest was only able to go on helitoys and muddy duck tractor and my eldest daughter was extremely disappointed as most of the rides she was suitable for were closed.
There was no mention of these closures on the website and left us all deeply disappointed and feeling ripped off as we have spent a fortune for tickets primarily for our children.
I have photographic evidence of the closure signs for these rides if required.
The zoo was not much better hardly any animals on show and the pens in a very dilapidated condition. The lion container had a massive crack in one of the windows which is extremely dangerous. The sea lion show wasn’t on either.
Very very poor experience and I will not be returning as I feel extremely ripped off and have two very disappointed young children.
Worst theme park ever
What I thought would have been a great day out at flamingo land, turned into a disaster.
I am a 32 year old who unfortunately is Just under 5ft tall. However being this tall has never been an issue ever in my life until now. I have been to flamingo land a few times and rode every coaster/thrill ride there. Today I went to a ride a ride I have been on many times in my lifetime, to be met with a "sorry you are too small" The ride itself now has a height requirement of 1.52m instead of the 1.4m is previously was. When asking why they have changed it, apparently it's for health and safety reason but with no explanation as to what that was and why? I was told that they decided to change it within a 24 hours period and was also told that if I'd come yesterday i could have got on no bother but today...nope I'm now too small. Baring in mind I am and adult and have been to plenty of theme parks In my life, i have never ever had any issue getting on any rides with heigh requirements other than when I was like 10 years old. Not only this, but it was quite humiliating having to do the walk of shame out of a queue full of adults answell as children and teenagers that are able to ride this ride. I have never heard of anything so ridiculous in my life. I have also been to a fair few theme parks across the UK and some outside of the UK and not one theme park i have been to have had a minimum height requirment of 1.52. OHHH And to top this off, most of the rides that we could get on where either out of action completely or we had to face multiple break downs whilst waiting in line...... what a completely wasted day and a complete waste of money.
I've have since emailed flamingo land outlining how humiliating my ordeal was and that fact I feel discriminated against for being smaller than 1.52. I also kindly asked for a refund as I feel the service that was provided was not met by the cost of the tickets, to be told no sorry we can't refund you.
I will be taking this further and I will not be returning to a theme park, that clearly doesn't care about its customers!!
Holiday "Treat"
Decided to visit Flamingo Land as a last day of the summer holiday treat, and that's where it started to go downhill...
Firstly, there is a ridiculous booking policy where if you book less than 7 days in advance, it costs 10% more than if you book before then - and be aware, if you buy on the gate it costs even more. So, with the thick end of £150 spent on tickets, I looked forward to our day out.
In fairness, the venue is quite attractive over all, but unfortunately the park itself is looking very tired. Add to this that the main ride - Sik - was down all day, the Lost River Ride was closed for renovation;along with parts of the Zoo: and the railway, plus other rides not running reliably, the whole experience very disappointing.
Oddly, the first thing we saw was a sign saying you could come back tomorrow for half price - in all honesty, if the half price was the standard price then this review wouldn't be so poorly marked
I can't criticise the staff, as they are battling a lack of investment while trying to make the day enjoyable. And despite other comments, the food and drink are on a par with other similar venues.
Maybe, once the renovation work is completed, the park will be worth nearer the high prices charged for entry, but until then I will be looking elsewhere.
rundown
rundown, over priced, waited in queue for 90 minutes for ride, height restrictions on big rides this should be reflected in price. Zoo area is very run down half cages are empty, train around park not working. Rides closed for maintenance. Food and drink prices very expensive and poor quality . Got sausage and chips and a drink x 4 was over £40 , £17 for a refillable soft drink
Great day out!!
Great day out! People moaning about how run down it is.....its not. People also complaining about price!! Book the tickets on planet offers its only £93.75 for 4 adults!!
More fool you if you pay full price!! Work is being done but it doesn't stop you seeing the animals. Will be back!!
Staying at flamingo land.
Been coming to flamingo land for 2 years staying for a week.
Cannot complain the staff especially make this place special and welcoming.
For me they is a few things management could do better with deals around the park, and maybe maintain all the rides and have more rides in the park especially with how many caravans are in site, seemed alot quieter this year but still had an amazeing time and really didn't want to come home.
The zoo was fantastic never experienced hippos like it.
I had the dog with me all week also.
We will be back as kids never complained they are bored!
