100' Retractable Hose Reel
Item # 144861. I've had my current reel for less than two years and have brought it inside during the winter. They have major flaws that cause internal leaking, which Frontgate has informed me is not repairable. I sent them pictures of the exact part that is leaking, and asked for a replacement part. They would not provide a replacement piece, and haven’t offered to replace the reel itself. Essentially, they’ve told me I’m on my own. If you buy this, expect to get just a couple years out of it before it needs to be replaced.
Called for 3 year old purchase
Called for 3 year old purchase, Real person answered within 30 seconds, 30 more and my order was pulled, part was found and offer to replace was made. Hasn’t happened to me in a loooong time. Wish the rest of corps would follow that for customer service!
Couldn't care less
I rarely write reviews, but boy is Frontgate's customer service lousy. I ordered almost $180 worth of towels. Then after ordering, some items became backordered and would have a ridiculous wait time. I was able to cancel the order on those items, but they wouldn't cancel the others as "they had already shipped" Yet I had no tracking information and it will cost me $9 to return. The two different women I spoke with, Pam and Jennifer, could not have cared less. Shame on me for not doing my research. Will NEVER order again!
Lousy cs
Customer service agents answer the phone so unprofessional .( How can I help you? - no mention of the store they work for.it is bizarre).ordered a holiday rug Oct 2021.it got pushed back 3 tunes in delivery!! Come Feb 2022 it was to be delivered. The rug was marked as delivered but it was not.my ups guy told me to contact them so they could file a claim and investigate. They were unwilling to help me at all. And I can't get another rug because they are sold out of my initial. Other companies look into these things for their customers. Very displeased.also ordered a dog residence and it came damaged,, used and missing parts. Gone down hill in all areas
Awful return process and lengthy refund!
While they ship quickly and on time, Frontgate is not set up for return of large items and it took 8 weeks to arrange pick up of 8 x 10 rug. When I didn't hear back, I kept calling until finally it was picked up by an outside delivery company. Now the refund will take 3 weeks until it arrives at their warehouse from the outside delivery! Customer Service is uneven and some agents are knowledgeable while some are not. Being an interior designer, I purchase from RH, Crate & Barrel, Anthropologie often and never experience return issues like this.
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service, they charged my card, never sent the order, cancelled the order, and never refunded me. I had to contact them multiple times, FAX MY BANK STATEMENT (WHO USES FAX?), and a lot more red tape, all to get my ordered cancelled, never notified, and never refunded. I'll never buy from this place again.
Order Fulfill Nightmare Starring Cust Serv
I love Frontgate outdoor furniture. We’ve spent (God help me) tens of thousands on it over a fairly short number of years. We’re now in a house in San Diego where we want to really spend on outdoor furniture, and decor, and outdoor kitchen, and serve ware, and pool floats, and pool float storage, and just stuff. Were finding that Frontgate doesn’t really believe in “due dates”. Dates are promised, then “changed” without notice (or notice to wrong spouse) to a distant date later, then undelivered at that date to another “estimated ship date” in the future. Many months pass without sign or sound. I found out when calling today, after a substantial wait and confusion about where my orders were under my profile, that furniture ordered in June (once we found THAT order) may or may not make it to me this year—There’s just no way to tell! It’s kind of like waiting for infinity to arrive, I guess. I’m just trying to order really nice outdoor furniture, though, not go on a freaky spiritual journey about patience. I am frustrated, but am trapped now. I’m not sure I’m “conflicted” about Frontgate anymore. Their customer focus is downright adversarial, if not overtly hostile.
Deceptive Business Practices
Frontgate deceptively changed a product page of what I ordered after I ordered it. What I got was NOT what I ordered and they responded to let me know that because it was on sale, it was not eligible to be returned.

I recently purchased a Christmas floral arrangement centerpiece for a dear friend. She was delivered a tabletop swag type arrangement instead. I called the company and they had no explanation as to why she was not delivered the arrangement that was order. Of course, what I ordered is no longer available. I spoke with a customer service representative a week ago and she was "looking into the matter". I've heard nothing back from her to date. I'm so disappointed in the service I received. I have ordered from Frontgate for several years, however, this will be my last order.
Bad customer service
This is really commentary on the customer service experience. Very curt and unfriendly. Will literally cut you off when they think they know what you are going to say. Terrible audio quality. Definitely sounded like I was talking to someone still laying in their bed.
Customer Service awful
Customer Service awful! The product we bought came damaged and Frontgate wanted us to pay a second time to get a new product delivered until we returned old product. Since the shipping box was destroyed in transit we needed a new one to return item. Frontgate would only pay 25% of cost of new box. A real shotty business!
