New Furniture for House Renovation - Jay has been consistently beyond helpful on the 2 trips we’ve made to Furniture Village. He made us feel totally welcome, relaxed and provided all of the information we required to assist us in making the purchase.

We will certainly be back to make additional purchases.

I went in to look at a table and spoke to Andy Mottley, he went through everything and answered all my questions without feeling pressured to buy- the whole process was very quick and easy

Furniture village Preston be very wary or don’t order at all from this store

Ordered our link small corner sofa in the short measurements with 2 power recliners and power headrests to fit our lounge in August. The salesman was made aware of the exact size of the space we had to work with when we ordered, and that we had no opportunity to change this in any way. 2025 sizes when we visited (and that we ordered from their order sheet)

Sofa arrived after 12 weeks wait

When sofa arrived we found they had ordered the large full corner not in modular sections so not what was requested, and they had done this without checking whether we wanted to make any changes because “they thought” it would be right.
These sizes

99mm right hand arm
75mm mid section (which was joined to the arm section and not a separate module, like we ordered)
117mm corner

We rejected immediately on delivery and they said sorry we will re order and are happy to knock off £400 for the trouble and the sofa would land with us just in February (12 weeks)

As I hadn’t heard from them by early February 2026 I called and was told that my sofa be on its way soon, but not in February, as it was only ordered on the 13th January and then had to be reordered again more than a week later as there was an issue and the order didn’t go through. We ere advised that the new sofa would be with us early may and that it would only be the new section (to make the sofa smaller) any way we wouldn’t be getting a whole new sofa, as was originally agreed because of possible colour differences. Eventually they acknowledged that a new section would likely not match the existing sofa we have, after 6 months of use, and they re-ordered the sofa with these measurements:

75mm right hand arm
117mm corner
59mm mid section
75mm left arm
The 75mm right arm was ordered because the 99 mm one was no longer available apparently
Also with power recliners and power head rests again and we would have the sofa 12 weeks

We were told by the store manager to ignore what was written in the paperwork and go off what hand written drawing was there this was what was being ordered

As we still had the original sofa we thought ok let’s go with it

Another 15 weeks wait and the sofa arrives and again is wrong: no power recliners this time and,to boot, they have ordered the 99/117/59/99 which is too big on the wrong side and also came without having recliners/power head rests on at all

Not the 75/117/59/75 sections so again on the main wall the couch is too big the comment from the Store Manager who said “well, the sofa wouldn’t have worked symmetry wise so that’s what we ordered”.

I ordered what I ordered so it would fit in our room, which had nothing to do with symmetry, however there was no conversation over this and they just ordered what they thought not what we wanted again. This was the second time this had happened.

As a result the order they placed was completely different to the specific agreement that we reached with there own store manager to resolve our complaint

How can one store order the wrong thing 3 times and lie every time about what had gone on?

Great quality products and good value, Danny was very good at looking after us made the whole process easy and simple would highly recommend furniture village

Shiva was an excellent help, explaining all available options and building our purchases with the options we selected. All the other sales staff were also extremely friendly and helpful.

Furniture was delivered in 3 weeks when told it would be 3 so that was the first good surprise.

Due to quality of our previous purchases and the quality of sales staff from furniture village they were our first port of call when looking at a new sofa.
