A Community That Actually Shows Up
From the moment I joined, I felt genuinely welcomed. Not in a performative way, but in a way you can actually feel. The encouragement here is consistent and sincere, and it makes a real difference when you're navigating the pressures of career growth, career change, and personal development.

Solid program for beginners trying to get into IT
I don’t usually write reviews, but I felt like this one was worth it. I went into GovTech Academy not really knowing what to expect, and honestly I was a bit nervous since I’m new to IT. But it turned out to be a really good experience overall.
The way they break things down makes it easier to understand, especially if you don’t have a technical background. There were times I had to go back and rewatch certain parts, but that’s normal when you’re learning something new. The instructors were helpful and didn’t make you feel dumb for asking questions, which I appreciated.
What I liked most was that it wasn’t just theory. They actually focus on stuff you will use. It gave me a better idea of what working in IT is really like and helped me feel more confident moving forward.
It’s not some magic shortcut. You still have to put in the work, but if you are serious about getting into IT, this is a solid place to start.

GovTech has helped me structure my learning. It gave a step by step guide. It took me some time to learn and understand, but anytime I expressed some struggle they game me tips to get through them. Now I have passed my test and look forward to all the additional guidance from the program. Tatiana was my accountability buddy. She checked in and gave me many tips along the way. There were calls weekly that helped lock in my understanding. All in all. I had a great experience

I want to take a moment to express my…
I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to the incredible coaches at the GovTech Academy. Their unwavering support and encouragement gave me the motivation I needed to reset my mindset and fully embrace the wealth of knowledge I was acquiring. Last August, I decided to take my exam, but things didn’t go as smoothly as I had hoped. I found myself rescheduling multiple times—first in November, then again in January and February. Just as I was poised to take the exam, it was unexpectedly canceled, and not by my own doing.
With a mix of determination and faith, I pushed through the uncertainty and decided to reschedule for March 4. But fate had other plans, ultimately leading me to settle on March 10. I held on to the belief that God had already mapped out my path, and I took comfort in it. My personal mantra for this journey was "You've Got This," and I truly embraced that spirit.
On the morning of the exam, I was wide awake by 3:30 a.m. and committed to reviewing all essential materials, including Domains, PQS, and PBQs. For two solid months, I dedicated myself to intense studying, immersing myself in practice questions from the Sec+ Study Group and diligently reading every single day. The effort showed; my Sec+ book became tattered and worn, a testament to the countless hours I had spent preparing.
As I finally stood up to leave after completing my exam, an overwhelming rush of emotion hit me. I couldn’t help but exclaim, "Thank you, Jesus!" Tears streamed down my face as I struggled to collect myself for a couple of minutes before stepping outside. This was not just about passing an exam; it was the culmination of dedication, resilience, and faith. Now, with this milestone behind me, I am filled with excitement for the next chapter of my journey and eager to pursue my next certification, knowing I can conquer whatever comes next.

So worth it
The program is overall very well structured and everyone is very accommodating and welcoming. I haven’t fully gotten everything I could out from the program but I’m already getting so much attention from recruiters after getting three free revised resumes. The accountability partner is also a very nice feature that definitely helps.

Future in tech
As someone who has had a passion for technology, but had no idea where to start. Joining Govtech academy gave me a way to finally start working towards my future in tech. My check-in specialist Tatiana has been a huge help and made everything much easier to understand.

The amount of support that this community has built into the program. It makes it impossible to fail! Everyone that I have met so far has been extremely helpful and supportive. I'm honestly taken aback by it because this isn't even given at a university. It's nice to be surrounded by people who want to see you win. I am loving this community so far!

Great community and advice
My experience has been great in the program. It’s always good to have someone help you stay accountable. It also helps to have the community on Telegram. Having others going through the same thing just lets you know that you’re not alone. The modules on speaking to recruiters and preparing for interviews has also helped. The technical modules gave me a head start on learning as well. Finally, the weekly calls on Monday with Symone and the Saturday calls with Ace always give great insight on the best next steps. I think all of those things have helped me progress. Along with finishing my Masters degree and passing the Security X exam, the resumes and labs have really helped me go the next level. I’m proud of what I’ve already accomplished but I have much more work to do.

From Where Do I Start to I Know Exactly Where I'm Going
The amount of growth I have experienced within myself over the past couple of months since starting the program has been remarkable. When I first began, I truly did not know where to start or have a clear picture of the steps I needed to take to stand out in today’s job market.
After receiving my personalized roadmap and being able to put it to effective use, I now have a concrete guideline to follow and feel very confident in my ability to navigate an ever changing job market. Being able to attend the online calls and participate in one-on-one coaching sessions has played a significant role in my growth. Even the way I have learned to leverage LinkedIn, gaining strategies to build an online presence that attracts recruiters, uncovers future opportunities, and fosters meaningful connections, has been nothing short of amazing.
I am even more excited to build upon the success I have achieved so far and look forward to accomplishing my goals.
