3 step system
I ordered the 3 step system and it arrived really quickly. Have been using it for a little while and I really like it so far. Probably a bit too early to hell how well it's working but it's super easy and the ingredients all seem fab. Hoping to see some good growth over the next few months

Wow the Growband actually helps a lot
Wow the Growband actually helps a lot. I don't even need to use it that much each day but my scalp is more flexible and less hair loss each day since I started.

Seeing great results from the shampoo
I've been using the Hairguard shampoo the last 6 months and it's been great for my hair and preventing hair loss. I have very sensitive skin and used to get a very itchy scalp and shed lots from using Pantene and head & shoulders shampoos. But since changing to Hairguard my hair has been much healthier with no irritation and it really feels thicker as a result. Cheers!

The shampoo works great
The shampoo works great, gently cleans the scalp and I noticed much less hair fall after the showers. No need to add horrible to a shampoo. Nice tingle on the scalp too after using.

I'd been using traditional hair loss treatments before, but always noticed side effects, and not much results anyway. I started using Hairguard products, including the topical, shampoo, hairbiotic and growband and I've been really happy with the results. Plus no scalp itchiness whatsoever. It's worth a try, it worked for me

Terrible
I tired the old formula when it was called scalp elixir for about 7 months, and it didn't help. When I saw a new formula called Biogaine, I gave it a try for 3 months and it also did nothing. Hair loss became worse while using them. They also made the hair feel extremely dry and damaged. They were the only things I was doing differently, so I don't think it was something else. I stopped Biogaine a couple months ago, shaved off all that dry damaged hair, and the new growth feels healthy. I don't think this is a good company.

Unfortunately, treating hair loss is a complicated thing to get right since there are often various underlying causes. That's why we suggest a multi-faceted approach (e.g. micro-needling, scalp massage, topical serum, diet etc).
Biogaine is packed full of some of the most powerful non-pharmaceutical ingredients available, and as such, should be effective in encouraging new hair growth. However, unfortunately we can't guarantee that it will work for everyone.
If you haven't yet been to see a doctor about your hair loss, we would suggest doing so, as there may be treatments that they can offer you which will help.

Caveat Emptor
Just a warning to prospective buyers: Hairguard states on its website that it offers a 180-day money-back guarantee to allow customers to try Biogaine. If not happy with the result, a full refund was guaranteed. However, when you click on their return policy at the bottom of the page, there is no mention of this guarantee, but instead a very contradictory 30-day return policy (and ONLY if the product remains unopened/undamaged). Alarm bells rang out upon reading this. Will not be trying this product based on this alone, but now also based on other reviews highlighting other concerns.

What happened was that we previously offered a 180 day money back guarantee (for any reason), but found that it was being abused by people. We therefore updated our refund policy to a 30 day return period for unused/unopened products - which is still the case.
Unfortunately we must have missed some bits of text that needed to be updated to the new policy, and that is where the confusion has come in. We really apologise for that, but can assure you that there was no ill intent at all.

Loved the scalp Elixir, feel like hairguard have let me down
Absolutely loved the Scalp Elixir, sad to find out my subscription has now been cancelled and the alternative to the scalp Elixir costs 3x as much. I will not be buying this new product. If they bring back the elixir I will happily re-subscribe, but I find the new prices extortionate.

Slow but consistent gains
I've been using their products for 5 months now, and although progress has been a bit slow I'm seeing good regrowth now.
My crown and temples were thinning pretty badly. That's now completely stopped and they are filling back in with new hairs. Happy so far. Planning to stick with the regimen.

Perplexed and very unhappy.
I was quite happy with their scalp Elixir product but now they have replaced it with a product that's three times the cost without all all of the proven documented beneficial natural ingredients the old one had and now they want to give you a new Derma roller and other accessories that are not needed with every order.
Stopping a good product, tripling the price for an undocumented product and offering accessories every order that are not needed.
Are they trying to lose customers? It appears by the other reviews they are.
If they do not give me a subscription to the original product I will be one of those customers they lose

such a shame the new product
i always bought the previous scalp elixir, and now they just put some new ingredients and put the price for a little bottle of 100ml to 124 dollars!! : )) Before it was 40 dollars....
For sure i wont buy it anymore, really a shame

Hi, thank you for your review, and sorry that you are not happy with us upgrading the Scalp Elixir to Biogaine. We decided to revamp the formula because we are aiming to make the most effective product on the market. Unfortunately this has meant we have had to increase the price.
The new hairguard scalp elixir-versions…
The new hairguard scalp elixir-versions are continuously disregarding former ingredients
(for example Reishi, Taurin, Rosemary Oil, Saw Palmetto Berry Extract, Nettle Root, Gotu Kola, Snyfolex etc. are some ingredients that are no longer in there.)
Instead they are replaced by cheaper ingredients that are made from soy and wheat protein. No reference to scientific studies about those "new" ingredients on their sales page.
It might also have reasons like texture or scent. But price has also gone up 3 X.
I was very happy about the research and integrity in former years, now I am unsure what is their mission apart from what they claim in public.

Hi Eric, thank you for your review, and sorry to hear that you feel like we have lost our integrity. We decided to upgrade the Scalp Elixir to the Biogaine Serum because we wanted to try to make the best all-natural hair growth product possible.
Unfortunately, after thoroughly reviewing the Elixir ingredients some of them just weren't up to standard, so we removed them. We instead replaced them with the best scientifically-proven ingredients we could find, like Adenosine and Redensyl, which generally tend to be very expensive, hence the price increase. I can assure you that all our primary ingredients are proven in studies, otherwise we wouldn't include them.

Don’t trust Hairguard if you want consistency.
I have been using their Scalp Elixir product for years. Now they stopped producing it and replaced it with another product that is 3 times more expensive. There is no way I will pay 3 times the price but unfortunately I’m left without a choice, as consistency is key and if I stop using the product, this will negatively impact my hair.
