We got married in May 2026 and we booked Harlequin as our wedding (Band & DJ).

We could not have asked for nor anticipated a more amazing experience. We LOVE music & we LOVE dancing. It was important to us to spend the night on the floor. Not only were Harlequin able to provide an outstanding service in relation to their music, singing and instruments alike, but they embodied the very heart of our celebration as if it was their own and really made an effort to settle our nerves ahead of our first dance.

Eugene was absolutely incredible! When we gave him a first dance idea, two nights before the wedding, he ran with it & got so genuinely excited about it that it had us buzzing also. He rose the crowd and the energy we felt as we entered the ballroom for our first dance was nothing short of electric.

Massive thanks due to all the band members - each one giving a huge amount of energy and displaying spectacular musical talent. Any song we requested was not a problem. The DJ service was also amazing! There were the same amount of people on the floor at the very end of the disco as there were for the main band event.

We are delighted we booked the band. Special thanks to Eugene for his kind words and reassurance throughout the whole process. His magnificent talent and quiet confidence that all would go well, allowed us to switch off and fully enjoy the night!

Booking Harlequin was the best decision of our wedding day and we hope it will be yours also!

Horrendous experience with Harelquin in the aftermath of our wedding
Had this band during the summer (2025). We booked them as the lead has a great reputation (so we thought). He is meant to be the only singer and we wanted to know who we were getting. We paid 6k which is double to triple the price of many Irish wedding bands. He advised us on phone that he never missed a gig in 20 years. On the day of our wedding he didn’t show up. We were told his brother would perform instead as he was unwell. We weren’t happy with certain issues on the night including the fact what in the middle of the dancefloor I was approached by two of the band to pay 4k instead of 3k, this is after my husband had already explained we only owed 3k as had paid 3k deposit already. I had to stand there in middle of my wedding and trail through my phone to find evidence of this. Was very stressful. Couldn’t get through to anyone in the band after our wedding. The phone numbers didn’t work. The band manager phones reached an Asian man who didn’t even know who Harelquin were. Two other numbers belonged to people who hadn’t worked with them ever or in years. Very strange. Eventually text Shane the lead (this was last resort incase he really was unwell). He told us he had left the band and didn’t respond when I asked if there was anyone else to phone. I found out in weeks that followed that there was other people who Shane hadn’t turned up for. We got worried. I searched for Eugene the other singer. Found out he isn’t really Shane’s brother (how odd to make this up!). Emails to the band were very unsatisfactory to say the least. Told they had undisclosed information relating to our wedding when I said we would go public. Threatened with legal action. It’s been so stressful and just a horrendous experience. We were told in email then that it never happened before and Shane was not doing weddings anymore on his own. Three days later we find out that Shane is playing one venue while Eugene plays another venue. This was all denied by the band despite us confirming it and having the evidence. The singer admitted they aren’t brothers and are just like brothers! Their is so much more I could say but I will just say this for now. They have two other reviews here and one of them (the positive one) is from the lead singer himself!!!

I would not recommend this band. From the start, communication was extremely poor and disorganized. I was promised replies multiple times was told I’d be called in 5/10 mins never would receive the call. When they finally responded, I was told that all the details had been sent to my "wedding planner" even though I don’t have one. I left it a few weeks, re-asked them, and even showed proof that I had already been in contact, but I was ignored again. My mother also reached out, only to be told the same incorrect information. On top of that, I was contacted by three different people, none of whom seemed to know what was going on. It honestly felt like we weren’t important to them, as if they didn’t need our booking. Thank god I didn’t waste my hard-earned money on such an unprofessional and unorganised group
