Heliodor use tactics to keep people’s credit ratings low. They send misinformation to credit reference agencies. Also I have a loan I need to pay off. When I pay into it they split the additional payment with the mortgage even though I put the one account number on. They don’t want me to be able to pay it on time. They lie on the phone say different things each time. Why does no one care that these sharks have got people trapped? They should be closed down.
Update 14/08/26:Following me making a complaint and saying I would contact BBC Money Box (which I did) they have repaid my loan payment into my loan. Bear in mind that they had been telling me they had no record I had paid it into that account, I told them I had got a record, then they said they could split it if they wanted to, I told them this was illegal. Don’t believe their lies, they try to confuse you to undermine your rights. Still no progress with the credit reference information I have a complaint in with both Heliodor and the credit reference agency.

Anyone had a problem with Helidor let me know I Coirt them lying on a phone call today in front of a Solictor as I can’t record them and they seemed suddenly lose all my records after the stress I’ve been throw anyone had a company called let’s move with us had a letter attached to their door with not one question of Helidor on it and the debt that’s odd not the same .so it’s looks a scam .disposable horondois company taking house off I’ll people and old people and people with no debt in mortage

Rang to ask for a payment holiday 20.4 (they call it payment concession) it was far too difficult in the end i just put phone down.

Like many other people my mortgage was taken over by NRAM and they are a horrible company to deal with. After paying extortionate interest charges I was getting deeper and deeper in debt. I had a mortgage and an unsecured loan. Because of the extortionate interest charges both loans fell into arrears. It was making me ill and there seemed no way out so my son offered to buy our house to clear the mortgage but Heliodor would not give us a redemption certificate for just the mortgage. This was the only way I was going to be able to clear the unsecured loan. Every time you call them you take ages to get through to a human being and each person you speak to contradicts the last. I was so mentally affected I wanted my husband to speak on my behalf. They would send out a consent form but each time they lied and said I had filled it out wrong. They will not deal in emails everything has to be done by post and every letter would take about three weeks to arrive as it was obviously left in an out tray for ever. They are a bunch of scamming crooks and you can’t get anywhere with them. Horrible horrible corrupt company

My son passed away on 2.8.25 following a cardiac arrest. We were devastated and it has been a nightmare trying to sort his finances out, Heliodor are well named Hell Mortgages, he like everyone else had a Northern Rock Mortgage. They have continued to charge interest at almost 8% since my son died and will do that until his debt is paid in full which will come from his estate, the debt has increased by £8,000 in interest since his death even though his estate had to go to Probate and we cant complete the sale of his flat until that is done, they dont care there should be a law against companies like this operating this way.

Mortgage prisoners thanks to the government. Heliodor do not respond to complaints effectively or efficiently ongoing issues for years with poorly trained staff unable to apply proportions correctly to accounts. Most recent complaint has been ignored with request extensions for 6 months. They need addressing seriously by the FCA as unfit to lend. Absolute robbers on interest over the years.

Absolute criminals. How in this day and age is this allowed to happen. How are so many of us trapped in a mortgage we never asked for. I’m this close to telling them to repossess my property and remove all the bloody stress out of it. The interest rates are incredible, unaffordable. No idea how they even have the word “mortgage” in their name! Nothern Rock, Nram and now these. I’m absolutely exhausted and now in constant mortgage arrears! Thanks for everything Hellidor. I hope you all come crashing down soon.

Unethical and should be stopped. You pay ££££s month after month at ridiculous rates. Tie people in so there’s no way out. And there seems to be no help for the people tied into this company despite never choosing to be with them. We were failed and continue to be ripped off.

No other options but 1 star.
I have had nothing but stress, anxiety, I can't cry anymore. I wanted to take my life from all the stress and anxiety.
Locked in!! Mortgage prisoner.
Court today to fight repossession for their error on my account in 2022 during all the stress of COVID.
Wouldn't address issue just palming me off with feeble excuses.
Continuous common occurrence of errors.
Staff on the telephone say there is a problem, keep up with my contact with Ombudsman.
Don't touch this company or alternatively if you are trapped like me, we should all meet and take these glorified loan sharks to court and shut them down NOW!

I just hate them and thank god my parents paid my mortgage off for me. Never in my life will I get a mortgage again. Absolutely NOT.

I give one star because there is no option for none or negative stars. I have been receiving non stop mail for people who do not live at my address for over 4 years now, it is relentless. I proved to Hell Mortgages that I was the sole home owner, and also proved single occupancy. I was advised to put in a written complaint about receiving mail for people who did not live at my address and did so, it took them 8 weeks to say……”further to a meeting regarding your complaint? We have decided no further action is necessary". I receive on average, 6 letters per month. I told Hell Mortgages that I was worried a Bailif would turn up at my door one day and they responded…..”until we are contacted by our clients to say they are no longer at the address? We will continue to send correspondence". I have sent them prints of one of their clients Facebook page showing he lives in Australia, nope, they’re not interested. The only way I can stop this is to permanently put a notice on my front door stating as the homeowner? No mail for Blah and Blah is to be posted through this mailbox. Why should I have a permanent piece of paper on my front door saying this? I have no dealings with this company 😡. Unbelievable.

Same as a lot of reviews my experience with hell mortgages has been horrendous. I was with Northern Rock then NRAM who then sold to Heliodor. You don't choose to be a Heliodor customer Hell mortgages choose you. I have lost thousands, my credit score, my future chance of ever owning my own home and nearly my sanity. I am with Harcus and parker for Mortgage prisoners claim which I think most people should join who are reviewing here. What else can you and I loose?

The incompetence of this company is staggering!, how the Financial Conduct Agency allow it to even exist is beyond belief. After years of miss reporting our regular payments, which I believe was to prevent our credit rating improving we managed to finally free ourselves of them or so we thought. Only after trying to remortgage did we discover that they have illegally been holding a charge against our property for over 12 months!! The battle continues hopefully with the compensation we deserve.

I am only writing a review on this site re our experience of Heliodor to let everyone who is suffering here know they are not alone .Heliodor (a v appropriate name for a Hellish company!!) We are all trapped (I was happy to see at least one person has escaped )and having to cope as best we can .We have been with them since 2019 (originally N Rock in 2009 ) and now in our early 60s have no chance of paying off the large amounts still owing thanks to horrendous interest rates . No happy retirement for us but the stress of knowing we cannot stop working for a long time .Only get out would be to sell up and rent but why should we leave our family home ?..have looked into remortgage but too high a risk apparently due to our age .
As so many people have said they deserve no stars and my only advice is to carry on as best as we all can and don’t let Heliodor win by breaking us .Thankyou for reading this and it did help me reading all of yours too stay strong everyone!

After months of putting up with this appalling company I have now remortgaged with a decent mortgage provider.
No more 9.5% interest rate, no more unanswered letters and phone calls.
Bye, Bye Heliodor, it was not nice knowing you.

This company bought my mortgage package from NRAM, affiliate. I'm on an SVR this company are extremely slow in passing on the BoE rate cut. The rates are really high they are milking people who are not able to change mortgage providers. Talk about money for nothing.

Literally 5 minutes of selecting various options from their automated service then another 15 minutes of listening to music on hold, before finally connecting to a human that asks you to verify more information.

My mortgage interest rate has increased to 9.4%?
These people are nothing short of criminal.
No chance of getting in touch with them to discuss the state of our mortgages, they don’t care anyway just chasing the money.
Our day will come, of that I am sure and when it does I hope Heliodor will be hung out to dry just like they have done to their customers.

As many people have said this is an absolute sham of a company how they can have the word ‘mortgage’ in their title is beyond be. They are just leeches who are after your money in any way shape or form. Our mortgage with them doubled what help did we get yep nothing other than if your struggling’sell up’ what and give you the equity!! You are the most money grabbing company known to man just a debt collection agency for topaz finance we have equity but as your ‘not a mortgage company’ and we have arrears we can’t move our mortgage to a company that would help us but your day of reckoning will come and I will love every single minute of it

Dont get a mortgage from this company not got a clue ,go round in circles trying to get answers ,avoid if you can ,at end of my tether with them now,very bad company.
