Spoke to the rudest Irish girl today. Kept putting me on hold to check with the boss. About 4 times. Been moved to a sham of a mortgage with no choice. Will be lodging a complaint about the rudeness

Nothing more than government enabled legalised theft. I hope to live to see the day when this greedy company is made to pay back all they have stolen from their customers who have no option but to stick with this sham of a company.

1 star is an exaggeration, this company do not respect your personal information. Break GDPR rules and have been fined by the FOS for doing so. They constantly make mistakes on your accounts.
They are completely incompetent and should have their licence to trade removed from them. Looking at other reviews I am not in a minority.

I don't see why I should even give this so called 'Mortgage' company one star. They abuse their customers with their consistent harassment, phone calls, letters, even two a day! They have changed the terms and conditions of my mortgage from when I took it out with Northern Rock 30 years ago. They said I didn't have a porting mortgage which would have saved me from their clutches but they sent me a copy of my so-called signed contract which states it isn't porting. They lie and don't help when their letters state they want to help. Stay well clear, they aren't a mortgage company just part of Topaz Finance which is a loan company.

Don't ever get a mortgage with them !! Mine was passed to them when northern rock shut down. They are awful!! They tel your credit score that you haven't paid. I have raised a dispute about this as they for the last 3 years they keep saying I haven't paid them ! The customer service is rubbish they really don't care and leave your credit history affected. I only have 2 years left of my mortgage with them and then I am mortgage free but my credit history is rubbish from them !

Utter scammers under the cloak of a mortgage lender. Heliodor are closed book loan sharks. Legal efforts will hopefully force these companies into repaying millions back to former Northern Rock mortgage holders. We are mortgage prisoners since 2009

Shocking company. Can raise interest rates but cannot reduce them when BOE reduces.

This company has locked me in a mortgage for 40 years. The house was only 35 thousands pounds yet when I have finished paying they will of leeched 250000 pounds from me. The theft and suffering is currently being investigated by solicitors. Words can not describe how lost and victimised I am feeling. My life has been ruined by them

45 minutes i was passed around their very rude, far to direct CS staff! none of which had the capacity to help! once i was put through to the last person, who asked the same questions, i laughed and she angrily said , i will hang up on you'' in general, just avoid them.

We are basically stuck … with this lender … since nov 2007 … paying over the odds … but can’t see any other option … hoping in time credit rating will improve so we can get a better mortgage deal … but it’s already been 16 plus years …: hindsight is such a wonderful thing…would of stayed away from northern rock ….

This company advertise about reducing payments equal lower payments . I have been overpaying and now have to take them to the FSA .A real let down of a company when Northrrn Rock went bust this company must have paid a massive back hander to the government. Had no help or support despite the government making £13 billion profit from the sale of NR. I have complained time and time again about the interest rates which has meant we’ve all paid loan shark monthly payment rates and stayed mortgage prisioners. My husband is very ooorly, we’ve had to fold our business, we literally have £0. Helidor won’t help as no protection under the mortgage charter as we all have “closed book mortgages”. 0% empathy and despite the completion of income/expenditure which confirms we now only earn £1700 a month they are insisting we can afford ghe £1002 a month . This is 8.74% on a £117k mortgage with an 18 yr term left.no other lender can help due to other debt and zero LTV. They are aware I have committed suicide 3 times (last toke was a success but thank fully a police man found me and gave me CPR).suicide notes have all said how I can’t take this pressure caused by Helidor and they have all this information but don’t care. They have caused us hell. All

When i bought the mortgage from northan rock it was interactive with overs all the time so you could always look for a good deal. Once sold off i became a mortgage prisoner and all the offers they had vanished and my fixed rate ended and i was put on the loan shark Heliodor standard rate . This mortgage was mis sold when the implied offers when bought were withdrawn. I feel very let down the government did nothing to protect customers and sold to loan shark company that had no interest in being competitive or looking after customers. Terrible company and government for allowing this misleading behaviour

So me and partner had a mortgage with northern rock about 18yrs ago.
Turned out he was a cheating, thieving prat. The house was sold before northern rock went busted. The redemption penalty was supposed to be settled via my ex as he had fleeced me dry. I ended up homeless and actually lived in a tent for a month and lost my job through depression and having no fixed abode...I filed for bankruptcy approx 2008 and have got on in life.
In 2014 my ex contacted me through Facebook demanding money because he had not paid up, just interest only.
I had a baby 6 months prior and had split from my husband and starting out as a single parent (dad is involved and a wonderful father).
My ex I had the mortgage with was partaking in strongman competitions, worked as a chef/bouncer and APPARENTLY was into debt collecting.
Needless to say he made my life at that time hideous, threats and all sorts.
Anyways with specialist advice from CAB and free half hour appointments with solicitors I finally got him to go away.
As I had gone bankrupt I was not liable for any of the monies.
Roll on a further 10yrs and my mother receives a letter to her address from these people asking for my whereabouts.
I called the number on the letter, waited patiently, cut off twice and the threat of being cut off again because the lines crackly. It wasn't!!
So explaining to their "apparent customer service" guy the situation he could offer no help as I didn't pass questions like an account number, how much my monthly statements are etc. I don't have one, never have since sale of house under northern rock.
So I'm a little confused and very weary and would and will not give over my current address from fear the prat may somehow get hold of it.
They will not give me any details of what is supposedly occurring unless I write in with proof of my existence, account number etc which I don't have, never had a mortgage with them.
Apparently they do not have a customer or complaints email address either....christ it's 2024.
I had noticed my credit score has had a fair amount of searches lately and has gone from healthy excellent to good.
If anyone has advice I would be grateful.
Will be seeing CAB at earliest opportunity too.

EUREKA at long last I have finally paid of these absolute intimidating, low life vultures.
Like everyone else my unsecured loan was sold over to them from Northern rock. I paid my Mortgage of in 2007 and had a manageable loan with N/R but unfortunately I got cancer and my life was turned upside down and then Heliodor came on the scene and my god they were an absolute nightmare.
I actually approached and had help and advice from Step Change debt charity and I have to say they were brilliant and helped and advised me along the way and with all the help with budgeting advice etc. I finally paid the vultures of 4 weeks ago Yipeeeee.
For of any off you out there trying to contact Heliodor if you go on the FCA site there is contact information on there and on several occasions I have contacted them via the registered email address listed, now don't get me wrong they don't email back, but I did get some weeks later! a written response, so it is obvious they do receive and read the emails.

Had to sell my house because of constant rate hikes but as my mortgage was made up of 2 parts (secured and unsecured) which I took out with northern rock and was sold by the government to these sharks,
the sale of the house only covered the secured and part of the unsecured, I had 19k left to pay on the unsecured loan after the sale and 15 years to pay it, thinking I'd have £87 a month to pay these reptiles hiked the interest which means I'm paying £275 a month which adds up to 68k over 15 years for what is a 19k loan, highway men used to wear masks but today they operate out of PO Box!!!!

Absolutely awful greedy life wreckers!
This company has ruined my life for years. Charging extortionate interest rates to me and many others trapped by the collapse of northern rock. The government or FCA are not interested in the suffering caused by this company, and others. Stay clear!

Been paying over 4.2% since 2008. We should by now be living in mansions for what these greedy companies have charged. But instead and 22 years on….. we are still in negative equity . This is like living in hell. They want £999.98 on a £112k mortgage with 16 years left. How can this be lawful and legal knowing we are all trapped . Pure greed and I’ve complained to FCA, financial ombudsman etc but no one has helped
Found a above but the government have done nothing to help us all. No protection under the mortgage charter as we all have closed book mortgages according to the useless customer care team. My credit score is now very poor as I haven’t worked for 6 months and not been able to pay the mortgage . I think the best and only option is to post them the keys but also place a brown log in it addressed to the CEO. Heliodor you are a disgrace and caused me severe mental health issues and many suicidal attempts . Let’s hope you are soon held accountable by the courts

I have complained endless times . My latest complaint was dated July 23 and I am still waiting for a final reply. I’ve had letters saying sorry for the delay but it’s not good enough when you are causing sleepless nights and adding to my mental health. I don’t know how your CEOs sleep at night. Greed pure greed
