We rented a Yacht (sloop Dufour 46) from Hermes Yachting based at Cleopatra marina in Preveza during July 2022 for 6 days. Great boat in very good condition. Our skipper Andreas was exceptional. All in all we had a great experience.

We haf an amzing time on board the Hanse 508 drom Hermes. Alltogether a great experiance

I should have been in the crew of Michael Huerth and therefore refer to his rating of Hermes Yachting.
Sad experience for us but his will not prevent us from sailing Greece again.

Super Service und tolle Boote. Alles top!

Hermes Yachting team was really helpful and our trip couldn't be better. Greece is one of our favorite sailing destinations and we highly recommend!

They are trying to shy away from the court letter and pretending not to be present at the webpage shared address - well, I trust German legislation will find a way to knock a little more intense at their door. Else, if HERMES keeps shying away the court will make a call anyway :) - I love German justice!:)
STAY AWAY from Hermes, they clearly have the potential to screw you!

After 2 years we are taking Hermes to Court - let’s see what they have to say as they refuse any reaction.

Unfortunately it seems like my reviews magically disappear from trustpilot, therefore I took the freedom to post on GOOGLE / TRIPADVISOR / FACEBOOK as well to not have fellow sailors share our poor experience.

We had a very poor experience, starting with the booking process, taking advantage of our crew-voucher for a trip that was cancelled due to COVID and finally we received a very pressuring contract with no obligations for HERMES but the ask for more down payment (which can be withheld by them for no reason!).

ADD-ON:
Till today, 14th January, there is no response from HERMES (MR. Apostolis Tsarouchas) what will happen with our down payment - I count it lost!

As of today, 10th February, there is no feedback and we will take legal action. More to come.

Overall my intention is to prevent fellow sailors from this industry harmful experience with that company.

This was my second time to rent a yacht. Everything was very professional and quick. Excellent service.

I chartered Bavaria Cruiser 46 "Oceanos" in Sept 2021. The bow thruster did not work, the mainsail (torn in half) was repaired in such amateur way, that we could hardy sail on it, 4 out of 9 door locks did not work (we had to use silver tape to keep doors closed), stern bathing platform could not be lowered (so we could not have any swimming), radio broke down (so we could not ask for the assistance entering Lavrio in the wind of 7 B). What's more, emergency phone did not answer.
Sorry to say, but if you want to waste your holidays - use Hermes Yachting !

ARIA, 2021 engine failure !!! Aria 2021 also brandneu, für eine Woche gemietet. Zunächst fürchterlich stinkende Bettwäsche geliefert. Dies auf Anfrage ausgetauscht…kann ja mal passieren. Am Tag 4 raucht der Motor und fährt nur noch mit 1600 rpm. Lässt sich neu starten und unter geringer Last weiterfahren. Laut Vanggelis von der Base läge es am Dieselfilter. Sollten nach Loutras segeln gegen den Wind obwohl anderer Hafen deutlich näher war mit weniger Gegenwind, da dort der Tachniker war. Zuletzt kam der Techniker doch an den anderen Hafen, tauschte die Filter aus, die alle ok waren. Das Problem bestand weiter. Vanggellis drängte darauf, dass wir die Yacht bei 30 kt Gegenwind und 2m Wellen nach Lavrion bringen sollten und den Motor nur mit max 2200rpm nutzen sollten. Originalton „Dont forget, it is a sailing yacht, so the main propulsion are the sails.“ Nach ewigen Diskussionen und meiner kathegorischen Ablehnung wurde ein professioneller Skipper organisiert, der am nächsten Tag kam. Nun hiess es er solle als Crew Member eingetragen werden. Wieder unangenehme Diskussionen mit dem deutschsprechenden Tim von der Base unter Vortäuschung von rechtlichen Problemen durch den Chartervertrag etc. Zuletzt transferierte der sehr nette einheimische Skipper die Yacht zurück nach Lavrion, offiziell als Skipper der Yacht, mein Charter wurde unterbrochen. Wir nahmen die Fähre. Bei Ankunft waren schon Techniker an Board, checkten den Motor, der wieder rauchte. Beim Checkout (ich war 3 x da um es zu versuchen) hiess es „wird morgen stattfinden“. Es kommt ein Techniker um den Motor zu checken und festzustellen wessen Fehler es war. Am Folgetag war kein Techniker da. Tim von der Base wollte „nur die Fakten zusammenschreiben“ und stellte im Report fest, dass nach dem Fehler noch gesucht wird und am selben Tag ich noch Bescheid bekomme, und in entsprechendem Falle die Kaution zurückerstattet wird. Es ist nichts passiert. Es wird vertröstet und auf Zeit gespielt. Nach 3 Wochen der Bescheid der technischen Untersuchung, nicht unterschrieben, dass der Motor in Ordnung war. Es wir eine Rechnung von 1240 Euro gestellt, die Seven Seas Alliance berechnet für den Transfer. Rest wird rücküberwiesen. Die Firma Seven Seas Alliance gehört genauso wie Hermes Yachting Eftymos und Maria Tsarouchas. Sogar die Telefonnummer und Adresse der Firmen ist gleich, wie auf den Bildern sichtbar. Hiermit nimmt die ganze Geschichte kriminelle Züge an. Never ever again…..

First time ever we rented a yacht and indeed we had an amazing time. We will definitely come back next year.

I'm really sorry but my opinion is that you have to avoid these people. The boat was really in a bad maintaince status. A lot of things where not working properly. We left the port for our 2 weeks holiday without anchor light, steam light and all the indicator (fuel and water) were not working. The day of the check-in we had to wait from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m to take the boat (don't worry they ask you anyway to come back a day before because the out will be on time at 9.p.m). The boat was dirty and the end they charged us a lot of money on the deposit for damages that we didn't. I was not so clever to check everything properly and did not report promptly all the issue, trusting in their professionality. I did a big mistake!!!

Alles hat super geklappt. Unsere Lagoon 42 war brandneu und auch der check-in war wirklich hoch professionell. Vielen lieben Dank an das Hermes Yachting Team

Everything was superb! from day one to day seven. shout out also to the great base staff!

Wir hatten eine Bavaria 46 gechartert und hatten sehr viel Ärger mit Hermes Yachting.

Folgende Punkte störten am meisten:

- Die Yacht Übernahme hat einen halben Tag gedauert, ohne Segel Check im Hafen.

- Das Großsegel hatte einen Riss, dieser wurde rechtzeitig gemeldet nach verlassen des Hafens. (Innerhalb drei Stunden und innerhalb 3sm)
Trotz einem verlorenen Tag sollen wir jetzt noch >50% der Reparaturkosten zahlen. 🤯

- Die Service Batterien waren so schlecht, dass in der Nacht zwei Mal der Batterie Alarm kam…immer und egal wie lange der Motor lief.

- Eine Festmacherleine wurde uns auch noch komplett berechnet, da diese einen Riss hatte. Wir können uns nicht vorstellen, dass dieser von uns kommen kann. Leider hatten wir nicht alle Festmacherleinen zu 100% geprüft.

- Check out…Wahnsinn, wir waren um ca. 16:40 am Liegeplatz und 20:30 konnten wir zum Essen gehen. Da muss man dann am Ende Schlange stehen am Büro und für angebliche Schäden gibt es noch nicht einmal etwas schriftlich.

Nie wieder Hermes Yachting!

Der Base Manager Vaggelis versteckt sich vor der Kundschaft hinter seinen Laufburschen.
Das ist nicht sein Job wurde mir dann gesagt, als ich Reklamationen direkt mit Ihm klären wollte.

WE had an excellent experience this year with the boat we charted fro Hermesyatching. Eyrything was perfect from the very beging up to the end of our vacation regarding the boat, the politness of their staff, the organised business, everything was ok We would like to recoment this charting business to everybody that would like to have a great experience in Greece

As requested, we were able to yearly check in at 10 a.m., the boat - a Hanse 508 - was in great condition! Hermes organized everything. Even the delivery of groceries ordered over the internet arrived on time at the pier, even though it's very busy on Saturdays. We're leaving at 3 p.m., what more could you ask for? The support from Hermes Yachting was very punctual and the annoying and time-consuming seals of the authorities were taught very quickly.

One of the best charter companies in Greece, Maria and Tim they are always available to inform the best boat charter options with good and new fleet.
