We spent an incredible day at Highland Wildlife Park yesterday with three generations—my wife, our son and daughter-in-law, and our three grandchildren. It was exceptional from start to finish!
The children were completely captivated by the animals. Eating lunch out on the deck while watching the Japanese macaques entertain everyone was a real highlight. The red pandas, snow leopards, and polar bears were absolute showstoppers.
We rounded off the day with the drive-through safari reserve, getting up close to the European bison and Przewalski’s wild horses.
Of course, no trip is complete without a stop at the gift shop! Word of advice to fellow grandparents: bring plenty of spending money because the little ones will fall in love with the plush animal toys and squishies (we came home with wolves and red pandas!). A fantastic day out—highly recommended for families of all ages!
