Nice & easy collection. The staff are always pleasant in the Stirling store, which is a bonus. I'll continue to do all of my DVD shopping here.

Absolutely no respect
I spent £130 on vinyls from them in one day. One they didn't have in stock. "Unknown pleasures". So I bought it in store for £28 and got it shipped to my house. It was slow.
Once received, I read on the cover that it was pressed from the 2007 remasters. I wasn't convinced. Had I seen that in store I would not have bothered.
I tried it and again, I wasn't convinced that the vinyl sounded like a true vinyl and so I complained that I wasn't happy with the mastering and I wanted a refund because the quality was inadequate.
To which Dan responded. That's my problem.
Mind you I spent £130 on vinyls in one day.
So, after more digging. It turns out there IS a limited edition repress of unknown pleasures original master tapes. I purchased it for £80 unopened from elsewhere. Not cheap. But would've been £28 cheaper had HMV been more cooperative and more transparent.
And by the way. The difference is huge. Who presses a vinyl from a digital remaster? I would answer that but then my review won't get submitted. Even though it's the truth.
In future. Have stock. And clearly notify if it's a digital pressing or not. Have a bit more respect for loyal customers. Saying "it's my problem" and it is "personal preference". It's not personal preference at all. Youre selling people a total gimmick. And then telling them to beat it when they find out.
Dan is disrespectful and has absolutely no compassion for loyal customers. I might never go back. And I've spent a lot of money at HMV over the years.
Thanks for nothing

We were very sorry to hear of the issue which you have brought to our attention. We are very sorry that the delivery was not as swift as we would hope. We can see that the item was dispatched within 24 hours and reached you within 3 working days. Please note, we do advise 2 to 5 working days for standard deliveries. We have reviewed all communications between yourself and our team and we can see no evidence of the words 'that's your problem' being used. We did, unfortunately, advise that, as the item was opened and unwanted, we could not accept this as a return as this is not in a resellable condition. With regards to the edition of Unknown Pleasures that is currently sold by hmv, the only version available to us is the edition which you have received. Should you have any specialist knowledge or concerns about the pressing of a particular title, we would certainly be happy to look into this for you, prior to the transaction being put through. Regrettably, our stock database may not have a full specification list, regarding the mastering and remastering quality and edition dates. This being said, we do sincerely thank you for your feedback, which we will take on board and we apologise once again for the disappointment caused.

Easy to navigate the website and find albums in the deal. Easy to pay. Communication by email was good including notification of the order being ready. Collection was easier than anticipated. Items were well packed in their box to prevent damage in transit.
Absolutely no issues with ordering online with HMV again.

Good, friendly staff. I also had to return a faulty dvd and the staff at Stirling were excellent. No problem getting a replacement.
Fopp in Edinburgh is a good place for a browse.
