We purchased an Outback Saturn Pro BBQ from Homebase in Hull (22nd May) but as one of the burners wasn’t working properly we needed to take it back for an exchange. This was definitely an Outback manufacturing problem.
Homebase in Newark is actually our nearest branch so I communicated with both the Hull branch and the Newark branch regarding this. On every occasion the team were excellent. Jenna from Hull was especially efficient and Tony and Douglas from Newark were very helpful, efficient and therefore made this a very easy process for us. Bravo to both of the Homebase teams. Having Jo's help was just what I needed to make sure I didn't forget all the little extras I needed to make sure everything was there when we came to put the kitchen together. Nothing was too much trouble when explaining everything and showing me my options. Having the Homebase discounts was also a plus and the large range of items on offer meant there wasn't any need to go anywhere else. Would definitely recommend and go back for other DIY projects.

My 84-year-old husband had to collect the Brabantia washing drier. It's quite heavy and the staff at Homebase, Newark were very helpful and helped him get it into our car.

Staff very helpful - I had not brought my reference number for a collection . However staff dealt with it to my satisfaction.

I ordered on line and payment details were taken only to be told my order was cancelled. I repeated the process and received another cancellation E mail which I thought was for the second order so I fetched one from a far off store. The second E mail was a repeat of the first cancellation on checking the order number. I then had to cancel the second order which was for a delivery. Much wasted time and effort for me and you.!Must add that the staff at the store were very apologetic and offered me a smaller model which I did take but then returned because my husband wanted a spike to make it secure.

Click & collect worked perfectly. Shortly after ordering I received the message that it was ready to collect. On arrival at Newark store, Customer Services took me to the trolley with the 10kg rapid cement on board, ready to wheel out to my car. Excellent. Many thanks.
