Unable to renew a domain with them.
Paid the invoice but the domain stays expired for several days.
Their support says exactly this:

"The registrar" is Enom, actually.
My support ticket is #AP457761 in case somebody is listening on their side.

Adding one star - my domain is finally renewed. It took 5 days(!), two messages to the support team and this review.

I've been using HostSailor for a few years now, the plans are very competitive and affordable, the support team is very friendly and effective.

I strongly advise against using this hosting company. They refuse to refund unused funds and instead try to blackmail customers into removing negative reviews. Their servers have significant security issues, and they are quick to blame customers for their own shortcomings. My experience has been extremely frustrating, with poor customer service and unprofessional handling of complaints. If you value your projects and want reliable service, look elsewhere. This company does not respect its clients and fails to provide secure, dependable hosting.
It all started when they shut down the VPS server without any warning. When I tried to find out what happened by contacting support, they claimed that 'my' IP address was blacklisted by some monitoring system unrelated to them and that this IP had connected to the server, supposedly with virus-infected software. I informed them that I had no connection to this IP, which is indeed true. They agreed to change the server's IP and reinstall it. Fortunately, I had a backup, as they were unable to transfer data to another VPS (which I am sure was due to incompetence). After that, the situation repeated itself. I checked the IP from which the supposed connections were made, and it belonged to Hostsailor themselves. My computer was clean, and I only connected using WinSCP and VSCode. Then, I wrote a review about this on another platform. They saw it, and I requested a refund for the unused period. This led to an endless correspondence where they insisted that the blacklist issue was my fault, not theirs, and that I needed to remove the negative review before they would process the refund. I did not agree to this, as I had no confidence that they would actually issue the refund. They continued to insist otherwise. I consider this pure blackmail, indicative of their own security problems, a lack of competence, and a complete disrespect for their customers.

And even now, responding to this review, you write as if the VPS is mine. No, dear Hostsailor. The VPS, IP addresses, and all servers are yours and only yours. I am only renting them from you. It is your responsibility to ensure the security of YOUR servers. Instead, you simply shift the responsibility onto your clients. Your response completely underscores this. Also, please stop lying. I did not threaten to write reviews. As a customer who used your service and was dissatisfied with it, I have every right to write reviews whenever and wherever I want. In my communication, I did not threaten anyone. I merely stated that if you blackmail my attempt to withdraw funds by demanding the removal of my review, I will make this public, which, I emphasize, I have every right to do. It is not up to you to decide what reviews I write and about whom. Writing reviews is my full right and it is completely legal!
Moreover, you closed my tickets on your own, which previously confirmed your refusal to refund the money. This is theft.

it was an incredibly easy - straight forward process, i found the img choices to be much more than adequate. i hit a few snags - all my fault and HostSailor was responsive, timely, accurate and most of all their support was SUPPORTIVE. I will be using this service for all my spin up projects!
oh yeah - you can't beat the service, the performance of vps and the plethora of options and choices for the price they charge! so very affordable

I'm a client of hostsailor for 3-4 years now, I would not move to another company. I have everything here, tehnically and friendly client support service, always helpfull.
Services are stable, I have no worry about them going down, 99.99% uptime.
Long term use for this service, always having support when you need, very afortable services.
VPS instances is fake. You cannot get acces to it after the payments

HostSailor embodied a severe disappointment in the field of web hosting. My experience with them was extremely negative, and I can do nothing but warn others against dealing with this company.
Among the appalling drawbacks I encountered, it was truly disgusting that HostSailor does not respect the privacy of its customers. Continuous privacy violations and a lack of regard for personal information were evident. There was no effort on their part to provide a secure environment or protect data.
Additionally, server performance was excruciatingly slow and highly unstable, significantly impacting the user experience of the website. This poor performance cannot be justified in any way.
Customer service was another dreadful experience, with slow and unprofessional responses. There was no genuine interest in resolving issues or improving the service.
In conclusion, HostSailor is nothing but a major failure in the web hosting industry, and I do not recommend anyone to approach this company. Beware and look for other options that respect your privacy and provide at least a decent level of service.

Unfortunately, my experience with this company has been nothing but frustration and stress. Since the beginning of my subscription with them, I encountered numerous technical issues and a level of service that does not justify continued partnership.
One of the major issues I faced was regarding the website's performance. The loading speed was exceptionally slow, significantly impacting the user experience for site visitors. I also experienced frequent service outages without any prior notice or explanation.
I reached out to customer service for assistance, but the response was slow and ineffective. They seemed disinterested in resolving issues seriously or providing any satisfactory explanation for the recurring problems.
Additionally, I discovered hidden costs in the invoices, with additional fees imposed without prior notification. This adds to the overall negative aspects of my experience with this company.
In summary, I cannot convey any positive recommendation for this web hosting company. They lack professionalism and dedication to providing reliable and satisfactory service to their customers.

Hostsailor is very good for the price. For only 2$/month i got a working Debian server but some thing are kinda strange. First C-Panel dont allow much we cant re-install os, or start any kind of service such as RDP + Debian version are outdated so i cant install some package even after editing apt sources.list file version isnt compatible with yum for example which make sense. Yes the support is really reactive as says a lot of reviews
I'm almost from 3 years or more with hostsailor, i've got 4 vps's and I can't say i found a better ISP for my hosting, fast answer from support, best prices for me.
Let's just hope they will expand all over the europe with one datacenter.

I signed up for a hostsailor Reseller Account in January 2023. I was intriged by their good prices and quick replies to my queries. The infortunate thing happened in March, 2023 when I received an Account Suspension Notice even though my payment date was not due. When I contacted susport, I was told one of my hosted accounts has an SBL Listing. So I sought to find out the way forward, but support said there was nothing they could do, but I had to wait for abuse department. I even suggested terminating the hosted domain responsible for the SBL listing, but support said they could not help until I am contacted by Abuse Department.
All my queries to abuse department went unanswered. My Reseller Account was suspended on the 16th of March, 2023. It was on 19th March that I received a response from Abuse Department. And even that was after I had sent hundreds of messages to support and also using live chat such that an agent decided to contact Abuse deparment on my behalf.
For 4 days, my Reseller Account was suspended and I could not tell the way forward. Customers were on my neck. They could not access they websites for 4 days.
As if that was not worse enough for Hostsailor, I finally received a Resonse from Abuse department with just FIVE WORDS "that's it for your server". That is all the abuse department I had spent 4 days anxiously waiting for had to say.
Simply put, they will not give me any opportunity to fix whatever problems there are. Neigther will get me backup copies of my account.
Hostsailor needed to understand that I was a reseller, and it will be entirely wrong to take down a reseller account with several sites hosted just because one website has an issue. I lost several customers because of this and I would not blame them.
I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND HOSTSAILOR TO ANYONE RESELLING HOSTING ACCOUNTS. They are not considerate. You may never know when any one of your sub accounts will go against the almighty ABUSE DEPARTEMENT. STAY AWAY FROM HOSTSAILOR even if it is not a reseller account.
Oh and by the way, they offer a $10 reward for positive feedback/review, so don't trust most of the positive reviews you read around about them.

Looking for hosting services with crypto payments, I found HostSailor. After an analysis, I decided to bet on their service, and until today I don't regret having made this decision. I'm currently using shared hosting, but I'm sure I'll be switching to a VPS.
Prices are attractive and the support team is very interactive.
