I am very disappointed with my experience purchasing a Strelitzia Nicolai from Hutch Houseplants.

Before buying, I explained that I have young children and wanted an easy-care plant. We had recently visited the Eden Project and loved the tropical feel, so were excited to recreate something similar at home. One of the reasons I felt comfortable buying such a large plant was my understanding that support would be available when it eventually needed repotting.

When the time came, I was disappointed to be told that no such support had been offered. Had I known I would be expected to manage repotting a plant of this size myself, I would not have made the purchase.

While the plant itself is beautiful, the after-sales support fell well below my expectations. I would advise customers to get any important promises or aftercare commitments confirmed in writing at the time of purchase.
*adding this after reading Rob’s reply- Rob, I have never met you, so you can’t comment on my experience. The information my husband and I were given by Jenna before purchasing the plant — including that it would be repotted when needed — was a significant factor in my decision to buy it.

Absolutely my new favourite store, the inside is gorgeous and like stepping into a dream! so clean and lovely, all of the plants look so healthy! making orders online is also so easy especially with ordering to click and collect, my order was ready the next day and the lady working recognised me from my previous trip and was so helpful both times, providing excellent customer service!
