On this side are finely a lot of scammers, one oft them are Brax3 - 7 Months a go i pay 380 € and i never get this Phone every month there promises to send it out soon, so I contacted the so called service of Brax3 and asked them to send the phone now or send the Money back, the answer is We sent you an order confirmation link a long time ago for you to complete your order but you never did that, and that is the reason your order never shipped out.
We are not scammers. We ran an honest business and we will be happy to refund you if you do not wish to complete your purchase
By this mail i answered to the mail some days ago, and until I hear no more feedback from this famous no scammers

I am incredibly frustrated with my experience on this platform. I backed a project, never received my order, and have been completely ghosted by the campaign creator. Backed a campaign for the Mihogo e-bike, costing me over £1000 and still nothing has been done for almost 1.5 years.

When it became clear the creator wasn't going to deliver, I reached out to Indiegogo’s Trust and Safety team for help. It has been radio silence for almost 3 months ever since. No response, no updates, and absolutely no accountability. It feels like as soon as Indiegogo takes your money, they wash their hands of any responsibility.

Leaving backers completely in the dark while creators take the money and run is completely unacceptable. If you're thinking about backing a project here, be warned: if something goes wrong, you are entirely on your own.

I would urge anyone not to back any projects of high value on this platform.

I only gave it one star because I couldn’t give it a zero. This highly deceptive website is where scammers thrive. They say it is for the innovation of independent inventors given a chance to create through donations. The truth is that they pitch ideas to consumers , collect money from you with the promise to receive the first fruits of the product created and then never deliver. I have reported them to the better business bureau and will write as many reviews as possible to let people know this is all the way a scam to take your money. They will not refund it , and they never make the products they advertise! I don’t know how they’re still in business. They are liars. Don’t do it.

I've been scammed by 2 projects on Indiegogo. These weren’t a case of "campaign encounters difficulties and is unable to deliver", they lied from start to finish and kept assuring us that the products were coming. Total scams. This was for the iband, and the C64 keycaps campaigns. Indiegogo support is completely useless, telling me “ Indiegogo is not responsible for refunds and project management”. I’ll never trust their platform or probably any other crowdfunding platform now because of my experiences here.

Scam site. Before they got careful and revised their lingo they used to advertised on social media as shopping/ preorder / order. Now they used the term "pledge." Avoid like plague. Indiegogo is in cahoots with the scammers of all kinds of vaporware

PLEASE don't believe anything from this company as its a complete con. I invested thinking I would be in line for priority delivery but 8 years later nothing from company no product no refund and no communication. This was for Phazon earbuds guaranteed not to get anything

The worst - allowed a scam e-bike company to steal way over 1 million and did NOTHING to help us retrieve or money. They did not vet the company and allowed the scam to play out, meanwhile taking their cut. SHAME ON YOU!

indie gogo is a terrible website. not user friendly. customer service is horrible and takes weeks if not up to a month. no indie filmmaker should use this site. I campaigned 2 grand and had it all refunded just because we selected the wrong thing in the set up. I get that is our fault, but the set up was very confusing and not user friendly. I specified to customer service several times that this was a short film, and no one ever told us that we selected the wrong format, instead they wouldn't approve anything for a MONTH because our main photo wasn't moved from the draft to the campaign, whatever that means. why have a draft setting if it's not the actual campaign????? horrible horrible site. do not use

The same for me: An Indiegogo project I backed (Avarax E-Bike) which had over 1000 backers and US$850,000 in support, closed without ever going into Production, and no perks were issued. Indiegogo has done absolutely nothing to protect the backers and help us resolve this issue. They don’t give a f..k. I will never, ever support indiegogo again.

Backed a project, they took my pledge and did the backer survey. The project did an update in Feb 2025 saying that they were about to ship, but then nothing........
Lots of comments from everyone else who had lost money on this platform. I will stick to Kickstarter who are reliable and responsive. Indiegogo do not have a 'REPORT this project' link to get any action, and they do not provide any buyer protections

I want to warn fellow creatives to use this platform!
If you'll encounter any technical issues or need help in any way to proceed with your plan, customer service is pretty much non existing, they always answer eventually but always too late. I was supposed to launch my campaign mid February, postponed it to late February to wait for their assistance, but sine they still haven't helped me I'm now moving this campaign to kickstarter instead. I'm deeply frustrated that I have to change the dates of my recording plans and redo the preparation work on another platform. Hope this can warn somebody to go through the same!

Indiegogo clearly doesn't care about Backers or its terms of service. I backed a project/campaign that is already 3.5 years late. The Campaign owner refuses to comply with straightforward terms of service like providing substative updates every 30 days (It has been over 200 days!!!!) Backer's questions are NOT answered promptly and truthfully either.

I reached out to IndieGoGo but just get some generic automated response to contact the project owner... Yeah.... they are missing from the planet and havent appeared in 200 days already! sure!

So here I am reaching out to IndieGoGo again... I have tried dialogue resolution. Brutal. Really disappointed.

EDIT: They have "responded" to several messages with copy-pasted responses. I have asked numerous times about the terms of service and why it is not enforced to creators. I.e. - Why can they take the money and just disappear without meeting any of their update or other obligations. No response to that.

It really seems like a platform that will enable people to take a bunch of money from a community and disappear. A great choice if you create some fake goods, get a bunch of money and dip. They enable this behavior through not enforcing any of their rules for creators.

I used Indiegogo for the first time back in 2017/18 and, while not perfect, the experience was generally positive and smooth, to the extent that when it came to crowdfunding for my latest film project I chose Indiegogo again. Unfortunately. The experience over the past year - and especially after Indiegogo changed hands and website - has been horrendous. Supporters stopped getting my updates, the platform is unusable from the perspective of UI/UX, and customer service is worst than in the Greek public sector. Given the high fees the platform gets from creators, I would advise against using the platform in its current shape.

One star only because zero and negatives aren't allowed. It seems as if this crowd funding company is knowingly and willingly aiding complete scammers in fraudulently taking money from innocent victims. In my case I learned my expensive lesson with the Vera/Mirror smart ring. They dragged me around with promises and lies long enough that my credit card would not refund me. Not sure how these criminals live with themselves.

They help people scam other people out of money. Bought one of their things they listed. 4 years later going to court filing both against them and the company. THIS IS A SCAM STAY FAR FAR AWAY.

I just heard that you're keeping $51,000 from MintPress News. Bowing to the zionists, I see. That's the best way to lose your reputation. Although, given that you have 1.3 stars out of 5 already says a lot.
