Our pre-trip advisor Jenny and our guide Akemi were outstanding. Jenny answered all my questions promptly and in great detail - that helped us a lot to get ready for our trip. Akemi was simply amazing - excellent organization, knowledge about Japan, positive energy and human kindness was contagious!
Our whole group loved her. We also loved all destinations and points of interest that Akemi highlighted for us.
One complaint - most of hour hotel rooms were too small.

Inside Japan advised us, they planned our trip tailored to what we wanted, as a self guided holiday. They booked hotels, trains, guides etc. Everything worked smoothly. They made it easy for us to have a wonderful trip - the holiday of a lifetime. Totally recommend them.

Planning by Inside Japan on our self-guided adventure exceeded our expectations. Hotels, transporation, guides, and experiences were all wonderful.

The entire package was tailored to what we wanted. We had a few key areas we wanted to visit. Jess made a clear, entertaining and concise tour pack. We had a good mixture of busy days and casual days with many good food suggestions. Everything was made easy and when an issue occurred (weather). The entire team helped and ensured we were safe and got home with as little stress as possible.

The organization of our tour and the information provided to us was first rate

Our trip planner was fabulous - every detail was attended to - great selections of hotels, cost, timing, and logistics - we expect to go back again and use IJ.

I feel everything was rushed and we had little time to see a few original museums.
We did not need to stop for lunch the day we went to the spa. We got there late and hardly had any time to enjoy the facilitie.
In Hiroshima we were rushed and did not get a chance to see the museum.
Also in Tokyo there was no reason for us not to see the Sumo wrestlers. We were right across the street. Very disappointed. We were also so tired we could not go to the Edo museum and the other art museum.
I did appreciate the civilized time we got started each day
When we went to the island I think we could have been given a choice if we wanted to go on the tramway

All the accommodations were booked and had excellent locations for ease of access to transport and site seeing. All ticketing was booked and worked seamlessly for us. The tour guides were knowledgeable and helpful. Andrew was so easy to work with to tailor our trip and experiences. Everything went without any issues and when we came home we were still in awe of what a perfect experience it was. We cannot recommend this company and the people that worked with us enough. We will definitely return to Japan and will be using Inside Japan again. Domo arigatogozaimasu inside Japan

We spent time in many interesting places. Each day was organised well. The accommodation was great, with many different experiences. Our guide was first class.

Good communication, delivering exactly our requests

Our guide was amazing. The small group was why we choose this tour and it worked out well. There was enough time to be on our own but still all inclusive. Our guide took our individual needs into his planning. I feel like we all experienced the flavor of Japan on this tour

Our trip was organised exactly the way we wanted. The tour guides we had in different places were excellent. All transport tickets and food tour were organised exceptionally well. The info pack and additional digital information were excellent. We would recommend anyone to use this company especially newcomers to Japan. If we would revisit Japan we would definitely use this company again.

They did a great job. Gave us a great experience, enjoyed Ryokan, they arranged for vegetarian food for family, the shibuya vegetarian tour was unique.
We asked for help with a last minute trip to Hiroshima and they responded immediately. The accommodations were great.

After the bad experience I had with the guide tour man plus the B hotel where
I left my sunglasses at the reception desk unfortunately they did not return them.

Plus I have paid again and again for train and buses it was very disappointed the extra cost after
I have paid you NEARLY £5.000

Wonderful, large hotel rooms in great locations.
Very good guides but some were hard to hear (very quiet voices in noisy locales)
The suggested side trips were very good experiences.
What we did not like was our schedule was too full. Less free time than we realized (our fault for not catching that).
One day in particular it would have been better to have a guide with a car…we took so many trains and taxis…exhausting.
The trains were a big inconvenience…lugging our carry on size bags up and down escalators and stairs.
We were told to only take a carry on size suitcase yet we saw many, many people with much bigger bags.
TIGHT connections on some transfers.

I have so much praise for Inside Japan’s supportive and professional staff. They tailored my experiences so well, specifically for exploring Japanese culture, its history and its Buddhist temples.
Their 24hr customer service line is a rare feature today. From personal experience there’s nothing like receiving prompt, responsive and friendly care when I sought help or needed to clarify any details of my itinerary.
