Intel is still my number one choice. Their technology is definitely irreplaceable. All my phone use Intel based processors. I have not gotten any problem with them so far. Their website is easy to use too.
New CPU thanks to customer support
It was the customer support, unfortunately these 13th gen and 14th gen CPU's crash due to voltage issues and unfortunately my CPU was a victim of it. My packet got sent with DHL express and it got stuck in netherlands and they decided to send me a new. Sure it took some time but it's worth the wait. Thanks Gautam K and the Intel team for replacing my cpu with a brand new one (CPU 13700KF).

Intel 14th Gen elevating power defect
Ich habe mir vor einiger Zeit Teile für meinen neuen PC gekauft.
Nachdem dieser Monate lang einwandfrei funktioniert hat, gab es in den letzten 2 Monaten immer mehr Bluescreens.
Da ich selber IT-Techniker bin, habe ich mich mit dem Thema beschäftigt und ganze Gruppen von Personen gefunden, die exakt dieses Phänomen analysieren.
Wie wir jetzt wissen, gab es von Anfang an einen Microcode Fehler von Intel. (Intel musste sich genau einem Monat höchstpersönlich diesen fahrlässigen Fehler eingestehen)
Der Fehler hat sich bestätigt, als ich testweise mit einem Freund CPU getauscht habe und er das selbe Problem und ich plötzlich keines mehr hatte...
Der Defekte Teil ist somit: "1 Stk. ---- - Intel - Core i9-14900KS Prozessor 24x 3.20-6.20GHz boxed EUR 757,00"
Ich selber habe inzwischen erheblichen finanziellen Schaden davongetragen, da ich auf ein Arbeitsgerät angewiesen bin... (das nicht ständig abstürzt)
Mal abgesehen von all dem Verbrauchsmaterial, das ich beim Troubleshooting verbrauchen musste. (Wärmeleitpaste, Alcohol pads und vor allem Arbeitszeit)
Das Microcode-Update das ich noch am selben Tag eingespielt habe, als es von meinem Mainboard-Hersteller veröffentlicht wurde, hatte den gegenteiligen Effekt.
Ohne die zig Einstellungen die die Leistung meiner CPU limitieren, stürzt mein PC jede halbe Stunde mit dem bekannten bluescreen of death!
Damit stehe ich nicht alleine da. Der Schaden ist bereits entstanden, da die Komponenten durch die zu hohe Spannung bereits beschädigt sind.
Selbstverständlich habe ich mit Intel Kontakt aufgenommen, die mir nach wochenlangen hin und her einen RMA-Auftrag zugesendet haben.
Jetzt habe ich aber die CPU unberührt zurück erhalten.
Und ich Zitiere:
" This is Sonali from the Intel Escalations team, We would like to inform you that the processor that we have received does not have markings present on it. "
Da Intel mir keinerlei Zusatzinformationen geben möchte, obwohl ich mehrfach darum gebeten habe, habe ich mir wieder selber belesen.
Es geht um die Beschriftung der CPU, auf der Oberseite.
Diese war mit Wärmeleitpaste verdeckt und daher nicht lesbar...
Ich habe die letzten Wochen jeden Tag mit Intel diskutiert, bis ich jetzt nach über 30 Anrufen/Mails keine Antwort mehr erhalte.
Die Antwort, warum es ein Problem ist, dass Wärmeleitpaste auf der CPU ist, wird immer mit " the processor that we have received does not have markings present on it. " beantwortet.
Auch die Frage, wie ich jetzt weiter vorgehen soll, bzw. wie ich den Rest der Wärmeleitpaste entfernen kann, wird mit exakt demselben Text beantwortet.
Da ich leider nach dem ersten Banchmark vor 4 Monaten Liqide Metal Termal Past von Grizzly aufgetragen habe, ist die Schrift nicht mehr perfekt leserlich, meiner Meinung aber eindeutig sichtbar.
Mit einem Spezial Reinigungsmittel (aceton oder so) könnte man sicher den Rest entfernen...
Aber mich interessiert es nicht mehr! Es wird mit aller Macht versucht, den Support zu sabotieren.
Jetzt ist Wärmeleitpaste auf einer highend CPU ein Thema?
Ich habe 750€ für etwas ausgegeben, was nie korrekt funktioniert hat, unzählige Stunden an privater Zeit investiert, nur um mich vom Intel Support verarschen zu lassen!
Ich habe einfach aktuell weder Zeit, Nerven, noch das Geld, mich weiter mit diesem Thema aufzuhalten.
Es war mal interessant und lustig, aber davon sind wir jetzt schon weit entfernt Intel!
Ich als überzeugter Intel Enthusiast werde jetzt nach 15 Jahren im Beruf IT-Techniker keine Empfehlungen mehr aussprechen, noch viel mehr zukünftig auf andere Hersteller umsteigen, die nicht nur aus Geldgier handeln.
Ich würde an dieser Stelle 0 Punkte für euren miserablen Support vergeben, leider muss ich euch doch einen geben. :')

Worst customer service experience in my life.
They have been dicking me around for 2 whole weeks through phone calls and emails over my processor having voltage issues which is a very common issue with this gen (14). Been told every time I was getting my warranty and each time something comes up where they need more information. No clue when I’ll end up getting the real warranty replacement, literally just waiting on my shipping label but they are holding out.. like I said worst experience ever and I feel for the guys on the phone because it truly seems like there’s no management oversight for them
Intel ist das einzig wahre
Ich habe Erfahrungen mit vielen Intelprozessoren gemacht. Ich habe einen i5 3470 einen i5 4460 einen i3 4. Generation im Laptop und ich muss sagen es sind zwar alte Prozessoren haben aber Heutzutage immer noch gut Leistung. Ich bin super zufrieden.
DevCloud and oneAPI do not work!
Trying to access the Intel devCloud oneAPI service is impossible. Intel support team won't reply, a lot of people have this issue and nothing is done. Once you access the panel one time, you cant access it anymore. It asks you to enroll in the Development program but if you try, it tells you that you are already enrolled. If you try to go to a oneAPI page, it tells that you need enrollment.
Also, if you somehow manage to obtain a toolkit, is breaks in a few days, if not before. I was using the AI toolkit to run an AI model and not even an hour in the toolkit gave issues such as "sudo: who are you?" or that the login node was maxed and that i needed to run a interactive shell, if you try it says "sudo: who are you?" and crashes.
Horrible service.

Intel is unable to provide an official ARC control panel for Linux because they totally rely on Linux community.
The official page gives a sort of beta driver for Ubuntu only (which is one of the ugliest distro based on Debian) and not a more indicated Linux based system page with the instructions for all the major independent distro like openSUSE.
So, I've sent an Intel ARC A580 to LACT author in order to start testing and implement all the basic functions via the i915 driver (the real key of everything about these cards under Linux). Well, the programmer provided an outstanding result in only three days!
Now, from Linux kernel 6.13, we finally have the readings like voltages, temps, fan speed and VRAM usage even through a simple Xfce DE sensor manager. But I suggest all of you to support this author because he deserve it. Can't copy the direct link here but just look on Github about LACT by Ilya Zlobinstev.

Gab nie irgendwelche Probleme oder Performance einbußen. Abgesehen davon das Intel bei den Preisen ordentlich zulangt, kann man doch von der Leistung und der Zuverlässigkeit in meiner Erfahrung nichts negatives berichten. LG Luki

So Intel is great if you want a company to waste your time, come up with excuses, pretend they are looking into options, or overall just really don't care about customers. After wasting an entire month trying to troubleshoot and fix my faulty Intel i9 processor and them telling me I'm "very important" and would assist me in fixing the issue. Today they decided to say, "Since you didn't purchase directly from Intel, we can longer help." They never helped in the first place and knowing that I had made a purchase through Newegg they still "attempted" to help me. They came up with "fixes" I could try on my own, many of which cause my PC to crash. Intel is by far the worst computing company to go to for any kind of help. I pray this company gets bought out and ran by someone who knows what their doing or burnt to the ground. Either way would be an improvement to how they are as of today.

Sono rimasto molto deluso dal comportamento di questa azienda e premetto che ho sempre avuto PC con processori Intel, infatti l'ultimo assemblato da novembre 2023, monta una CPU Intel Core i9-14900K e ho da subito riscontrato problemi di crash soprattutto nei videogiochi e problemi di surriscaldamento della CPU che arriva addirittura a 100°c di temperatura e con il caldo ambientale i problemi si presentano più facilmente, ho provato in tanti modi per raffreddare la CPU tra l'altro non overclockata montando anche un dissipatore a liquido ma non risolvo il problema, chiamo l'assistenza e danno la colpa alla scheda madre Asus, chiamo l'Asus e scopro che i processori Intel i9 dalla tredicesima generazione soffrono di un grave problema di surriscaldamento e che quindi la cosa può essere risolta downgradando il PC sostituendo la CPU con massimo la dodicesima generazione o cambiare proprio azienda produttrice.
Richiamo Intel e loro dicono che non è un difetto della CPU, ok, ma magari mi potevano dire come posso refrigerare la CPU per non avere problemi? Zero assoluto, assistenza incapace di risolvere il mio problema e questa CPU per me è l'ultima che ho acquistato della Intel e non ne prenderò altre in futuro.
Assemblo un PC da gaming e proprio questo non può fare perchè crashano i giochi.

Intel Air mattresses…
I bought a deluxe queen mattress from Intel That specifically says on the box that it will not sag in the middle. I am went from Wisconsin to Louisiana and Texas on a 3 week camping trip. I gave the mattress 10 days to stay inflated. I figured first three days might deflate a little bit from stretching.I The mattress never did stay inflated throughout the night usually around 2 AM and then definitely at 6 AM when I woke up, I would have to re-inflate The mattress. So I went out and bought a twin size intel mattress to use for the rest of my trip that didn’t stay inflated either. So after about four days that I went out and bought a Coleman mattress which I use for the last 12 days of my trip and it worked perfectly firmly inflated. Now I returned home and I tried to go get my $75 back but I can’t get a refund or a store credit they will only exchange it for another one of their crappy mattress. DONT buy Intel air mattresses, unless you like sleeping on the ground!
Support an ASUS übergeben

Jetzt nach knapp zwei Jahren beim Folgegerät genau das selbe Problem, nur hat seit Anfang des Jahres ASUS den Support für Intel übernommen. Über die Websites von ASUS ist keine Geräteeingabe möglich und wochenlanger Schriftverkehr mit ASUS hat keine Lösung ergeben. Mittlerwile unterstelle ich Absicht. Habe heute das Reklamationsverfahren eingestellt, da es mich schon über 10 Stunden gekostet hat. So lange ASUS den Support macht kaufe ich nichts mehr von Intel.

Apart form that, I really like all the power in PC's that are powered by core i7 and i9 series basically. Very impressive robustness, those computers can do some heavy lifting!
