Bike delivered to home address found…

Bike delivered to home address found had not been set up properly. Had to take my bike to a retired motorcycle mechanic who said the clutch had not been set right. Too tight if I had picked it up myself I would have brought it right back .very disappointed maybe because the bike was only £3999 I did not get the full attention it needed looking forward when I bring it back for its first oil change to meet these people .I've have motorcycles for over 45 years never had this before

Excellent service

Visited John Banks Suzuki Ipswich for MOT. It was straightforward from booking through to MOT and took the time to explain everything clearly. Always my preferred garage for honest advise and looks after my car well.

Motorcycle Mechanical issues

I went to JB BSE for a service and valve clearance on a motorcycle. However, this turned out to be a protracted and unfriendly experience. My bike was retained for a period of 6 weeks, I had to call several times to chase them up and the information was vague and unhelpful.

My experience with them ended up with me sending an email advising about my legal rights and suddenly, the motorcycle was repaired within 2 days.

I feel that their staff have more experience with technology as opposed to mechanical issues, as it should not have taken such a long time to repair and I should also have received regular updates on progress. To be honest, I believe that they were incapable of solving the problem and should have advised me at inception.

Please be aware if you want a mechanical issue on a Honda CBR 1000 RR (06) or any older model of motorcycle.

We are genuinely sorry that your visit did not meet the standards that we expect to deliver and that the repair took significantly longer than either you or we would have wanted. We fully appreciate how frustrating it is to be without your motorcycle for an extended period, particularly when communication does not meet expectations.

Whilst some diagnostic and mechanical faults on older motorcycles can prove more complex than initially anticipated—particularly where parts availability and fault tracing are involved—we recognise that this should have been communicated to you more effectively throughout the process. Regular updates are an important part of good customer service, regardless of how complex a repair may be.

We are pleased that the motorcycle was ultimately repaired and returned to you, but we regret that the overall experience left you feeling disappointed. Your feedback has been shared with our management and workshop teams so that we can continue to improve our communication and customer care.

John Banks Honda Motorcycles has represented Honda for many years and our manufacturer-trained technicians work on motorcycles of all ages, from the latest models through to older machines. Whilst some repairs inevitably present greater technical challenges than others, we remain committed to resolving them professionally and keeping our customers informed throughout the process.

All the staff were helpful and…kind

All the staff were helpful and explained everything carefully. They were friendly and professional and did not rush me at all, so I felt comfortable. Kimberly and Rhys made sure I understood everything they said (I am deaf) and I appreciated their care.

Kymberley was super helpful

Toyota GT86

Had been looking to get a Toyota GT86 for years as part of my 30th birthday I finally decided to go for one.

Saw the ad for John Banks Honda in Ipswich and I’m pleased I did. Both Rhys and Edd were brilliant with their communication and made the buying process easy.

I felt like I was purchasing with confidence knowing the car had been well maintained and looked after. Would throughly recommend them if you are looking for a new car!
