Incredible trip! Journee met and exceeded all of our expectations. While it can be a bit unnerving to book a mystery trip, Journee did a great job communicating with us prior to departure, organizing all aspects of our itinerary while overseas, and then helping us return home safely (even when a Lufthansa strike tried their best to get us to stay). Highly recommend booking your next adventure with Journee!

Our experience was spectacular! It was our first, but we will definitely be booking another trip in the future. Couldn’t recommend more, especially for those who love to travel but find the planning process incredibly overwhelming!

Overall, we are incredibly happy with our trip! We took our quiz over Christmas week and received our proposal a few days later. Journee does a fantastic job of giving a vibe to the trip without giving away anything significant. After being delightfully surprised by the total cost (much lower than we expected!), we accepted the proposal.

We decided that we wanted NO clues. We didn't even want to re-read the proposal. We both read it once and that was that, we never looked at it again! When the clues came in over the months, we immediately deleted them without looking. The format of the clues on WhatsApp made it easy to do that. We didn't want to guess where we were going!

Having the basic packing list in advance was helpful, as was the weather report.

Departure Day arrived! We set off to the airport, brimming with excitement! We found a secluded place at MSP and recorded ourselves slowly pulling the reveal card out of the envelope.......IRELAND!!!! Amid squeals of excitement, we went through security and headed to an airport restaurant to devour our itinerary. This is also when we found we would be spending time in two areas of the country.

The itinerary and the booklet are very well done. Lots of information, very thorough. The app also did a great job of not spoiling anything ahead of time and then providing all our travel info when we needed it.

Once we were checked in, it was easy for us to get a paid upgrade at the gate. The flight was great. Before we knew where we were going, we had asked to add an airport transfer to our package. Journee responded and said they actually didn't recommend that, as our location was known for having easy and cheap public transportation. This proved to be true, Dublin has a great public transportation system, and also we were easily able to figure out how to get to our hotel. The accommodations in Dublin were great. Loved the location, loved the room. Staff was friendly.

The tours we were booked on were well run, and interesting. The tour guides were knowledgeable and pleasant, and the buses were comfortable. The meeting places were easy to find. Lunch was easily available on each tour.

Transportation from Dublin to Galway via bus went smoothly, and the accommodations in Galway were excellent. We met a few other Journee peeps along the way, and it was wonderful and fun to exchange reveal stories. The train from Galway back to Dublin was great as well.

Our biggest regret is that we didn't have more time to explore Dublin in the day time. Since the trip was split between two cities, we only had a short amount of time in Dublin, and we were a bit sad that both of our tours during our time in the city took us far outside of the city, meaning that we didn't have much time to explore other things in town during the day, like museums or other exhibitions. We completely understand that this is based on our input during the survey, and stating that we wanted 2-4 days of activities, so no misunderstanding there. I think we just would've liked more time to actually spend in Dublin during the day, since it has so much to offer.

We will absolutely use Journee again! The surprise element was SO much fun. The communication and response time was phenomenal from start to finish. The trip was so well organized and well thought out. We have been recommending Journee to everyone we talk to, both home and on the road, and we look forward to becoming a return customer in the future!

We had a lovely trip with Journee this month to Marrakesh and surrounding areas. It wasn’t a location I would have necessarily have chosen for ourselves but we loved it. Everything was well organised for us with interested activities planned and any questions we did have were answered quickly. It took the stress of travelling and planning away from us and I would choose Journee again for another adventure ☺️

I loved getting the little clues to my phone it was a real talking point at work. I actually didn't guess the country so it made for a super surprise. Opening the envelope at the airport was very exciting. I loved the way that journee split the holiday into 2 places. I would not have thought to do that .Accommodation was really beautiful and had an indoor spa as well as a huge outdoor pool. The experiences were well thought out and something we were both interested in doing. Loved the whole holiday and can't wait to embark on another trip. Thankyou Journee.

My mystery adventure to Sorrento, Italy was absolutely unforgettable. Every detail was thoughtfully planned, and the surprise elements made the trip even more exciting.

The experiences were incredible and perfectly captured the beauty and culture of southern Italy. Visiting a family-owned farm was such a special and authentic touch, giving me the true taste of local life. A local farmed gave us a tour of the farm, and they served lunch afterwards using all home-grown items. The boat trip to Capri was breathtaking , with stunning views and the perfect mix of relaxation and adventure. Hiking the Path of the Gods was a highlight--the scenery was beyond words. Exploring Pompeii added such a fascinating historic element to the trip.
The apartment was perfect--comfortable, beautiful, and ideally located (no more than a 10 minute walk to any planned experience, and a short walk to the grocery store.)
What truly stood out was Journee's excellent communication whenever I had a question or issue. my first flight was cancelled due to mechanical issues, and Journey immediately re-arranged airport transfer for me. They were responsive, reassuring, and quick to help resolve anything that arose, which made the entire trip feel stress-free and well supported.
Journee creates a seamless, magical experience that balanced adventure, culture, and comfort. I would highly recommend Journee to anyone looking for a unique and memorable experience . I can't wait to book my next adventure!!

Again Journee has provided an amazing experience and all I had to do was fill out a questionnaire, pack, and show up. This has been one my favorite way to travel and see the world!

I truly enjoyed my Journee adventure. All my family & friends were involved in solving the clues to guess my surprise destination. Every detail of the trip was thoughtfully chosen while allowing for free time to explore on my own. The Journee staff were professional and responsive to my questions. I will definitely schedule another trip to let the world surprise me.

Honestly the best adventure we've ever had. They actually listened and created the most fantastic experiences that i would never have put together. We kayaked, explored and did the complete opposite or our usual get away. We are both over the moon with Journee and are already planning our next trip.

Journee gave me the best stress free trip to Portugal. I never would have taken this trip if it wasn't for them handling literally every point. As a solo female traveler I felt very safe. I will be booking again!

I have been on a few Journee trips, and this time brought a friend along. We were treated to beautiful Bilbao and the Basque Country!

The excursions planned helped us make the most of the trip, and get to know our destination. The suggested places to eat, and things to see and do really helped us to find our feet.

The suggestions about public transport were really helpful, and saved us a lot of money! Our accommodation was a short walk away from the bus stop, so the recommendation of no transfer saved us some serious cash each way!

One huge, and pleasant, surprise was that they saved money on our flights, so used the savings to make our accommodation nicer, and boy, was it an amazing stay! They said it wasn't Premium Standard accomodation, I would have said it definitely was, it was luxury, an amazing surprise and really was the *chef's kiss*!

We were after Emotional Wellness from our break, and this was delivered in spades, it was a trip that took us to amazing sights, amazing food and also to relax and enjoy the city.

Not only do Journee organise the flights, excursions, and accomodation, but they provide a list of phrases/words to help you get by (no need to buy a phrasebook at the airport), as well as a fun bingo card, and suggestions both digitally and on paper (because hey, phone batteries run out) - and a packing list, so you aren't caught short!

I have now gone on Journees with friends, and more on my own, I love the surprise as well as having almost all of the hard work done for me, as well as the chance to try/go to places I never would have thought of, as well as the little touches that make the trip sparkle!

My mother and I took a chance on Journee and ended up on a lifelong dream of a vacation in Athens. Our entire trip (aside from catching a bit of a cold) was lovely, and lasted 5 days. We had transport provided for every excursion, and the drivers were amazing! Beautiful (and helpful!) accommodations in a boutique hotel in the city center within walking distance to the Acropolis. The only slight hiccup we ran into was almost missing our last leg of our return flight (back to the States), but it was due to a plane issue and no fault of Journee. They were incredibly helpful, and quick to respond to any questions we had. I will absolutely book through them again in the future.

I went on a Journee trip February 26th and it was wonderful! I had a fun time trying to guess where I was going, and everything on the trip went smoothly. It was amazing and I would do it again!

My first Journee trip ended 2 days ago. It lived up to all my expectations.
The worst thing about it was the very turbulent flight home - not Journee's fault!
Special mention to Akash on their helpline, who helped with my questions before the trip, rather than pointing me at a useless FAQ - something most companies do nowadays.

Just back from my first Journee trip and it went perfectly. Great communication - when one of our excursions had to be cancelled Journee were in touch straight away. Travel was fine, boarding passes were there on my phone. Hotel was gorgeous, destination exactly what I asked for. I absolutely intend to book again.

This is the second time I've done a Journee holiday and I'm already planning my third. Fantastic service right from the start, I had some questions about my proposal and they answered straight away. I told them that I didn't want a certain tour booking and they immediately reassured me that they wouldn't and took the cost off my budget. Every time I had a question or concern they replied on WhatsApp very quickly. The holiday was perfect. I never would have chosen the location at this time of year but I already want to go back, one of the best holidays I've ever been on and I didn't even pick it. The things that were planned for us were lovely and added so much to the experience. The guide book that is given to us was used a lot, we didn't have to make any decisions at all because they had laid everything out for us. We got to do what suited us, without any of the headache. I couldn't recommend them more.

Journee really missed the mark for us on this vacation. We requested an outdoor adventure type of trip. Instead, our destination was a huge, crowded, noisy city with marketplace vendors hassling us to shop, children begging, and the expectation to pay anyone even for help with directions. It was very stressful. Public transportation was difficult to use, so we could only experience things in walking distance. Our one outdoor adventure involved spending 3 days crammed in a transit van with 14 other people for long drives with few stops. We did get to spend one night "glamping", but we got to the campsite after dark and had to be ready to leave the next day before sunrise. No time to explore. I liked the idea of having someone plan everything for us, but this was way off from what we would have liked to do. I wasn't worth the money.

Just got home from my first Journee trip — a solo international adventure to Spain — and it was absolutely amazing. From start to finish, Journee made the entire experience completely stress-free.

I navigated Spain’s public transportation system on my own with total confidence, met fellow Journee travelers along the way, and every single tour they scheduled was incredible. Each day was perfectly planned and unforgettable.

The moment my daughter picked me up from the airport, we were already talking about our next trip — and we’ve already requested a proposal for the two of us to travel together. I cannot wait to share this experience with her.

I truly don’t have a single negative thing to say. If you’re even thinking about traveling solo, Journee is the way to go. This trip exceeded every expectation. 🇪🇸✨

I actually sent a email with these concerns, but I got no response, so I am posting it as my review.

I just returned back from my trip with you. I have a few concerns and suggestions hopefully to make better packages.

First, I DID have an amazing time, however, I had to do some work to make that happen. I never would have gone to this area of Spain on my own and I’m really glad I got to experience it. The clues and figuring out where I was going was fun. BTW, I guessed Seville and pre-created a list on TripAdvisor.

I had a budget of $3000, and originally you came in at $2100, which was great. However, there was a flight change, supposedly done by the airline and the change cost me an additional $500 (or so). I have traveled to Europe from Florida several times and most of the time I get my flights around $700 and if they need to change, it’s at their cost. So, this is a bit concerning.

There was some confusion on baggage costs as well. As I said, I have flown to Europe several times with 3 trips in 2025 alone, and each time I have purchased baggage. It’s always been a package, with being the same price in both directions and did not need to be paid for by each leg. It’s also generally cheaper to purchase it ahead of time versus at the airport. This case was very confusing, inbound but not outbound (or vise versa), but one leg being included but not the other. A set price for all legs in both directions would have been nice.

When I received my itinerary, I saw that only 4 activities were included. Since it came in well under budget, I would have preferred that the leftover budget was used on activities, which as a tour company, you can usually get better prices than I could. Instead, I got on TripAdvisor and added several more activities at an additional cost.

This trip was to celebrate my birthday and having my passport with birthdate info, you knew which day this was. I would have thought this would have a day for one of the activities, instead, I was scheduled for a bus between cities during the middle of the day, limiting me on activities I could schedule for myself. I was given the option to change the time, which I did and that cost me an additional $30 (or so).

Issues about the bus and transfers. I do not believe changing cities during the middle of the trip was very well planned. It would have been more feasible to go to the second city toward the end of the trip, take the bus back the night before the flight and get a hotel near the airport. This may have saved on bus to hotel to bus transfer fees as well. With that being said, if this is done frequently, I would recommend that local transportation options and even costs be included in the itinerary along with the things to do and places to eat section. Or recommend that an explorer download City Mapper, Uber/Lyft, local taxi apps or public transportation apps (if available).

The hotel accommodations were a little rich for my taste. I would have preferred little boutique hotels with included breakfasts. The 4/5 star accommodations were beautiful, but it was too much. I also would have preferred if the savings were used on activities. Even during the planning stages, my only requirement is clean, safe, shower and bed. In this case, I requested an electric kettle. Which I had to request a second time when I arrived at the hotel. Coffee was not even included at either location, only tea at Hotel Sevilla Center.

Finally, it was a wonderful gesture to provide a bottle of champagne for my birthday, however, I cannot drink alcohol, none. I have a tremendous sensitivity to it (as well as many foods) and it can make me ill. If this gesture is common, it might be wise to ask such questions. I took it to the desk and they exchanged it for non-alcoholic sparkling juice. It did take a day to exchange it, so I did not get to have it on my birthday.

The activities selected were perfect, I enjoyed each one.

With all this being said, I would not do this again by myself, but I WOULD do it with someone. I have a friend who has a credit with you from a trip she needed to cancel and I purchased the gift card for the extra credit.

This is just feedback and you can do with it what you see fit. But any future recommendations would be appreciated.

I tripped upon this travel agent while planning for a 30th anniversary trip. I had gotten very stressed out and bogged down with trying to make it all work and decided to turn it all over to this company that I knew almost nothing about. What a great decision! One of the best trips of my lifetime. We ended up in a beautiful place that I never would’ve considered going. Everything was planned just perfectly and any questions I had were quickly answered by the staff. It is definitely a small staff of people so you always feel like you’re talking to a real person but they’re very very responsive. I am a total control freak about travel so any of you thinking about this who don’t think you could “let go“I assure you you can and you will be better for this experience. We will definitely be doing another trip with this company. Don’t worry, they ask you every possible question to make sure you won’t be stuck doing something that you wouldn’t enjoy. They even ask you how busy you want to be so the schedule is tailored to you. We had three full days in our city to explore on our own but had we said we wanted to be busier I’m sure they would’ve filled every day. Don’t think about it anymore. Just do it! The ONLY caveat, I would say, is if you do say that you would like to do outdoor activities be sure that you are in decent physical condition. If you are an American tourist and used to getting off of a bus and walking on a flat paved path, that is not what you will experience at least not in Portugal :-) We thought it was amazing, but we could think of a few people we know that might’ve thought the physical end of it was a bit much. BOOK WITH JOURNEE!!!
