Honestly everything was great, during the climbing the whole team was very kind and filled our every needs. Hornest and David were 2 great guides, we’ve talked and learned a lot by their side. They were adapting to our pace so we’ve never felt too slow or too fast during the walking. As Hornest said, the mountain is never easy but they sure put us in the best conditions which made us feel that the climbing was in fact, not that difficult. We’ve shared music, dances and laughs with the whole team and it really felt like going up the mountain with experienced friends, not just paid guides. The fact that Hornest sent a daily (if possible) check to you so that it could be posted on facebook was great, especially for our families. The following safari with Abdul was really nice too, being alone with him felt like a private tour so it was really nice. In just 2 days we managed to see every animal we’ve wanted to see, we didn’t expect to see so much of them. And abdul really came through when looking for elephants or rhinos and found them so he could show them to us. Of course the 2 locations we stayed at were mind-blowing so nothing to say there.

From start to finish, everything was great. Simon chatted to me before and I felt very reassured. The social media pics helped as it showed how much fun others were having. I was picked up from the airport and accommodation was sorted before and after the trip, plus Simon arranged a safari too.

Regarding doing Kilimanjaro, it was great. We met Honest, the lead guide, the night before and he helped ensure we had the right kit. The other guides, Issac, Jackson, and Armani, were all incredibly knowledgeable and clearly knew and understood Kili. Every chef and porter was fantastic and clearly tried to make pur experience better.

Everything was great, the tents, the food, the toilet tent. I felt ill coming back down and knew I was in safe hands. There are around 3 members of the team to get one person up and every one of them was kind and professional. I'm not quite sure what I imagined when I first booked, but everything surpassed it. I travelled alone but met another 5 amazing hikers and lots of fantastic KCC staff who made it a trip I'll always remember and look fondly on.

Right from our first touch point (Simon), until our see-off at the airport after our Mt.kili summit, KCC has time and again reinstated that we made the right choice by trusting them with our adventure. Simon has been so flexible, friendly and supportive while helping us prepare for our trek. He was always available for answering any doubts I had and that itself felt like we were in secure hands.
Being atop Mt. Kilimanjaro is truly an experience for the mind, body and soul. Everyday was a new challenge, one that had to be overcome to make it to the top. Each moment of each day since we started our trek, we have been deeply grateful for team KCC.
The entire team braved through harsh weather that was not forecasted and ensured that we were safe, healthy and on our way forward.

We recently returned from an amazing 7 day climb up Kilimanjaro up the Machame Route followed by a 4-day safari through Kilimanjaro Climbing Company (“KCC”). What an amazing experience!

Before arriving, Simon was super helpful in helping us organize the trip and answer all of our last minute questions.

From the date of arrival to the date of departure every aspect of the trip was well-planned, organized, and well-communicated. All KCC staff were friendly and went above and beyond to make sure our dream trip was a success.

Thank you Simon (owner), David and Ewald (Kilimanjaro guides), Geoffrey (manager in Arusha), Abdul (Safari guide/driver), and all other KCC staff! We had a blast and will recommend KCC to all.

As a solo traveller I was quite apprehensive about doing the trip but Simon was really reassuring and put my mind at ease and I joined their first ever solo traveller group climb. I have nothing but praise for the entire team who made this extremely challenging trip enjoyable and fun. Our guides - Honest, Isaac, Paul and Jackson were motivating and encouraging - if anyone is going to get you to the top of this mountain, its these guys. Our porters were amazing, always smiling and eager to help and always happy to entertain you up with a song and a dance. The food was good and plentiful, the equipment top class and the communication before and during the trip was excellent. I can highly recommend Kilimanjaro Climbing Company.

Booking was very simple and easy. Speaking to Simon directly made me feel confident before the event. During the hike the guides and porters couldn't have been more helpful, professional, friendly and caring. They were simply perfect.

Couldn't recommend KCC enough. From the beginning Simon was super helpful answering my many, many qus! We did the 8 day Lemosho route which was beautiful and great for acclimatisation. Summit was very tough but we couldn't have done it without the amazing guides - Honest, Isack, Paul, Jackson, who kept us motivated and smiling. Plus huge thanks to the rest of the team who worked tirelessly setting up camp, making incredible food, bringing us coffee in the morning - Ali, Foraga, Mr Delicious (!) to name but a few. There was so much going on in the background that we were oblivious to and we wouldn't have made it without them. A very special experience!

The KCC team is one of the best. Everything was good: the instructions, the food, the tent, the route, the toilet, etc.

The experience was extremely challenging and not to be taken lightly - the professionalism and helpfulness of the whole KCC team got us through though.

We booked KCC's Summit to Safari to Beach package for our honeymoon in August 2023.

Simon helped us put together a bespoke itinerary to fit our dates and was brilliant at answering all our questions in the planning stage. His local knowledge and experience was especially useful when it came to booking our internal flights and arranging diving on Zanzibar.

The trip itself was the trip of a lifetime. We had an amazing week climbing Kilimanjaro on the Machame route - the guides and team could not have looked after us better and they got us all the way to the summit and back down again safely and very well fed. We had a private trek which was great because we often saw huge groups of 15 people straggling up the trail.

We felt that KCC was great value for money - although the cost is not the cheapest it is by far from the most expensive (e.g. we saw some companies carrying plastic baths (yes, seriously) up the mountain for guests to relax in at the end of the day - we were quite satisfied with our private toilet and mess tent!) and KCC prides itself on paying the guides and porters properly, which we felt was very important.

We spent 4 days on safari with one day at each of Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara National Parks. Each park had its own particular highlights - the impressive baobab trees in Tarangire and the vast herds of elephants on the Serengeti being our particular favourites. We stayed in different hotels each night but our favourites were the Maramboi Tented Lodge on the shore of Lake Manyara, and the Ngorongoro Farmhouse Lodge.

After safari we went to Zanzibar, spending one day in Stone Town where we did a city tour and had cocktails on the roof terrace of the Africa Hotel at sunset, which was sublime. Then we spent five days at the Royal Zanzibar hotel in Nungwi, an all inclusive hotel with incredible swimming pools and two fantastic restaurants (buffet and a la carte). We did two days diving with Spanish Dancer dive centre, following Simon's recommendation. They were a very safe and professional outfit. On our last night, KCC helped us organise a sunset cruise on a private dhow, which was the perfect way to end the trip. They even let us take the tiller!

We had a slight mishap having left a piece of property at the hotel in Arusha, but KCC sent a rep to collect it for us, package it, and put it on the next flight to Zanzibar - this really was going above and beyond, so thank you.

This was an unbelievable experience. The hotels at the start and end of the tour were great, the staff were brilliant and the food was amazing. The support we got throughout the climb was second to none.

Absolutely incredible adventure of a lifetime!

Simon was a fantastic help through the whole process - we had multiple phone calls with him to go over equipment, travel, and the climb itself - and he is a hoot! Such a great guy and we really enjoyed our chinwags with him.

Our guides, Eric and Paul, were brilliant, and truly helped us reach the summit. They were encouraging, informative, and on the challenging summit night, they got me through my sudden altitude sickness and tears! The rest of the team was just as amazing, including the chef (the FOOD!) and his kind assistant, and we just loved how positive and friendly they all were.

The safari was awe-inspiring. We saw every animal we could have hoped for - from elephants having a mudbath and lion cubs sleeping in a tree, to cheetahs with their catch and even a dung beetle. Gift, our guide, was fun, well-versed in animal knowledge, and could spot animals from so far away!

Highly recommend KCC to anyone. They look after their team, have every aspect covered, and made the other companies on the mountain look, well, not KCC!!

We had a great experience with the KCC. Simon (the owner) organized everything well; from the airport pickups to accommodation and tour guides. We did 7 days Machame Route, Freddie and Erik, our tour guides were exceptional and took really good care of us (special mentions go to the chef who cooked great food and the porters who worked really hard to make our trip great). Following the successful climb, we went on the amazing 3 days safari, our tour guide Ommy was fantastic and looked after us well. I would definitely recommend KCC to anyone who is looking to do Kilimanjaro and safari!

Climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro was one of the most magical and hardest things I have ever done! Kilimanjaro Climbing Company was the best! We did the Lemosho Trail and were on the mountain for 8 days. No showers, no internet, no cell service, no electricity, no plumbing, etc. The men of Kilimanjaro Climbing Company were amazing, from the guides, to the cooks, to the latrine persons and porters. They worked so hard and always with a smile on their faces and songs to elevate us to achieve our final goal of reaching the summit at 19,341'.

We had a wonderful experience with KCC to summit the Kili as a family, early February 2023.
The whole trek was done at the right pace, with full support of the entire team.

Simon, the owner, organised everything, airport pickup, accomodation, safari drives... Our itnerary changed a couple of times but only to make things better for us. Private guided safari is the only way to do it! (We saw groups of 6 to 8 in one truck and they looked miserable. The safari guide, Ommy, was amazing.
the accommodation arranged was perfect... Camping in the Serengeti is something I will never forget!

We travelled to tanzania and zanzibar with kilimanjaro climbing company doing summit, safari and beach. Simon was very helpful and responsive the whole way through. The guides were all wonderful and cared about you having a safe and wonderful time.

We made it to the summit, which just goes to show how great they are as I am not an avid hiker haha. Our stay on the mountain was very comfortable and the food was lovely. Was great to have our own toilet too! The guys went out of their way for us always.

The safari was fab and we had the best time with our guide, so knowledgeable and cared so much about us seeing everything we wanted. The lodges we stayed in were unbelievable.

Zanzibar was beautiful and just what we needed to wrap up a busy busy holiday!

We started our trip with a trek up Kilimanjaro. The trek itself was a challenge both mentally and physically and I would recommend making sure you are of reasonable fitness and you are used to walking up and down mountains and doing a bit of scrambling. However with some determination and lots of words of encouragement from our guides most of us made it to the summit.

The trek was very well organised and the guides were very knowledgeable and all the porters were friendly and always willing to help and make it the best experience possible. In addition the food was plentiful and delicious and we were amazed how the porters managed to carry such a variety of food and how the chef would cook such lovely meals.

After our trek we went on safari and visited 4 national parks including the Serengeti. The days are long as you are travelling to the different parks and going on Safari all in the same day but we were not disappointed as we saw so many animals. In one afternoon in the Serengeti we saw the big five plus a Cheetah and lots of other animals. We opted for the high end accommodation and a bit of luxury during our Safari and again we were not disappointed. Our first place was on the edge of a lake near the Tarangire National Park where you woke up to Zebras and Warthogs wandering around outside; it was stunning and we wished we could have stayed longer. We opted for a luxury camp in the Serengetti which was different again and came complete with beds, a plumbed in toilet and a shower. Our third night was in the beautiful setting of an organic farm and coffee plantation with a gorgeous room and views from our balcony.

The food on Safari was delicious and the restaurant areas were in some lovely settings and the packed lunches were equally delicious; we very much enjoyed Tanzanian doughnuts!

We completed our trip with a coffee and waterfalls tour hosted by a local village at the foot of Kilimanjaro. It was a great fun day, the waterfall is stunning and the local guide was fantastic and very knowledgeable. The traditional lunch cooked by the guide's mum followed by learning about the coffee production with all the locals singing as the coffee was ground made it a great last day.

KCC exceeded all our needs & expectations in every aspect of our adventure. From Simon’s accurate and immediate attention to our every query at every stage, to the clear respect everyone on the mountain has for the “Professor” his lead guide.
We passed this test of endurance and resilience due to the confidence we built in him and his fellow guides Eugene & David. We could see other groups struggling without their expertise. Their mutual support, true teamwork and clear enjoyment in what they do were an inspiration beyond the summit. Off mountain his ‘fixers’ & ‘drivers’ Abi Omni & Geoffrey’s cheery calm and confident service made our whole trip a complete success.

I just wanted to write to say thank you for organising a wonderful trip for us. Everything went smoothly despite me sometimes getting anxious with the laid back Hakuna Matata approach! My bag, which had been picked up by someone else at the airport, was indeed retrieved the next morning in time for the trek just as they said it would be!

Our whole team for the trek was absolutely excellent but special mention must go to our superb guides. Ewaldi (the Professor) was calm, authoritative and obviously well respected on the mountain. Eugene and David were so kind and encouraging and always went the extra mile. Juvet (not sure of the spelling) joined us on summit night and helped me on the way down; his English and singing and dancing skills were great. I've no idea how the cook does what he does but it was much appreciated.

It was so nice to see the guides in their Kilimanjaro Climbing Company kit. We really felt we were part of the best, most professional outfit on the mountain. And we all summited!

We really enjoyed Zanzibar too. Thanks so much for the Emerson Spice recommendation; the meal was superb. Apologies for disturbing your evening. The Royal Zanzibar hotel was just what we needed to round off the trip.
