We had the pleasure of dealing with Anna Bains, and we cannot recommend her highly enough. Anna was extremely professional, knowledgeable and efficient throughout the entire process.

Damages claim
Following an accident my insurance company referred me to LDS to pursue a claim for damages.

Bad Beyond Belief
Two claims we brought to them under our legal expenses home insurance cover and both were denied.... this was in May 2026 and yet had received other solicitor assessments of good chances. Sadly though £1500 on account could not go ahead. I guess what do you expect with the other lot Lyons Davidson?????? We will battle on regardless of this lot... disgusting!!! Our advice steer well clear there's better more robust solicitors out there.

If only I’d bothered to read the reviews first
Update: Communication has completely stalled. Despite sending four messages over a 28-day period, I have received no response from my claims handler or any other person I have emailed. This directly contradicts the commitment displayed on their portal to respond within 5 working days. /
If only I’d bothered to read the reviews first! But no, silly me—I trusted my home insurer, who generously pointed me in the direction of this absolute powerhouse of incompetence.
I’m now blissfully stuck with a company whose customer service skills are a pure myth. Their "state-of-the-art" customer portal is essentially a black hole where messages go to die, and trying to reach my assigned Claims Agent directly is a fantastic exercise in speaking to brick walls.
Do I have a clue what’s happening with my claim? Has anyone even opened the file? Is it being processed, or was it thrown directly into a shredder? Who knows! The suspense is truly thrilling.
If you're thinking of using them, by all means, think twice, think three times, and then do literally anything else with your life

When I Needed Them Most — Exceptional Support, Compassion and Expertise
I cannot recommend Philippa Morgan and her paralegal, Eleanor, highly enough.
My children law and domestic abuse case began on 17 April 2024, and I represented myself as a litigant in person until April 2026, when the complexity and volume of the paperwork became impossible to manage alone.
That was when Philippa and Eleanor came into my life honestly, it felt as though these two ladies had landed for me from heaven. Philippa took over the complex proceedings, including allegations of child abduction, and worked tirelessly to ensure the Court understood the abuse and the incredibly difficult circumstances behind my decisions.
Eleanor handled the huge amount of paperwork with exceptional organisation, patience and attention to detail. She is an angel, focused and determined:)
After carrying everything myself for two years, having them step in was an enormous relief. Their compassion, professionalism and dedication meant more to me than I can put into words.
