Very useful - good information provided

The Legal Representative patiently listened to my case. I was reassured that the best assistance will be given to my claim which is in its initial stage.
However, my first impression has been very positive and in view of that I have awarded them five stars.

Very friendly, professional and efficient.
Helped me understand what I needed to do in plain terms, and sent me a link with all the relevant information within minutes of the call.

Bunch of cowboys, avoid any insurance company that uses this company for insurance claims, unless you have a stonewall 100% claim, they have no intention of paying out for a claim, I have a claim that I will win in court regardless, and I have a genuine insurance claim for help with court costs, but because it doesn’t serve their financial interests, they’re refusing to back it. Basically they’re happy to take the financial gain from Aviva, but not payout when the time comes to give a bit back on a genuine claims. They’re a bunch of con artists. Scumbags!
Update, this my review, this is my experience, I don’t need to give them more details, you won’t change my opinion.
They consider Discrimination and Wrongful Dismissal the same thing even though legally in a court of law they’re separate. For Discrimination, I sort advice, didn’t make a claim, over a year later I made a claim for Wrongful Dismissal. They claimed it was for the same incident, despite proof of being over a year apart, only claiming on the second incident and an insurance policy renewal in that time before the Wrongful Dismissal. They are scum and will do anything to get out of paying out. This is my genuine review, I no longer wish to communicate with them, so don’t send me emails asking if this is genuine and to give them my details, they’re crooks, that’s my experience!!!

The person to whom I spoke did refer to her associates to make sure the advice she was giving me was correct. Most professional.

No attempt whatsoever was made by this company to represent me against landlord harassment or fulfil their obligations as the legal representation of my insurer. Deliberate placement of my claim into an entirely different category, discrimination and refusal to communicate or provide clear reasons for their refusal, which they then waited until a final response to my complaint to give. Now changing my insurer from Santander as this bunch of cowboys appears to be the worst type of law practice and only interested in taking your money and providing as little or no service as possible and doesn't care about any contractual obligations or the regulations to which they are obliged in the slightest, and will just lie and prevaricate to avoid work.

I would not recommend Arc Legal Group based on my experience handling a legal expenses claim.

I submitted a claim relating to an employment dispute. Initially, my claim was declined outright on the basis that the issue started before the policy period. This was not correct. After I challenged the decision, Arc Legal reviewed the matter and confirmed that my unfair dismissal claim was in fact within cover.

The claim was then passed to solicitors for a “prospects of success” assessment (51% threshold). Funding was ultimately declined at that stage. However, I have since been advised separately that my case does have strong prospects, just not under their criteria for funding.

What I found concerning:

The claim was initially rejected on an incorrect basis
It was only reconsidered after I formally challenged it
Even when accepted, further internal hurdles make it difficult to obtain actual support

Overall, the process feels more focused on limiting claims than helping policyholders access the cover they paid for. In practice, this type of legal expenses insurance offers far less protection than expected.

Based on my experience, I would not rely on Arc Legal to support a claim when it really matters.
